This song is written by a young mindfulness practitioner in the Plum Village tradition of zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, and performed by several monastic sisters. It begins in a dangerous and seemingly helpless situation.
"There's a time
When I wish to do something more
But I'm all alone
I cannot be strong."
In the chorus, the author stops in the midst of her fear and loneliness to be in touch with the beautiful things still present in her life.
"It's time to stop
It's time to breathe
It's time to take care of ourself
It's not our fault
To take a walk
In peace and harmony."
Ultimately, she expresses the insight that guides her through the dark night toward the coming dawn.
"How can I heal a wounded heart
If I only see the dark?"

Some of the automatically created substitles were a bit mashed on the longer version on the link you put in, so I had a go at submitting the captions for this one 21.08.20 I still got a bit stuck on lines 4 and 5 so I put them in brackets. @@plumvillageonline I am organising a gathering ouside for our Sangha and thought how lovely it would be to play this song as people arrived and settled. So I was playing some other songs from Plum Village with the view to make a playlist and noticed they were interupted by adverts probably form youtube.
