I'M A ZOOMER NOW

- In this video we look at the new DZOfilm Pictor Zoom 14-30, an ultra wide angle cine zoom lens. I have used the DZOfilm Vespid Primes set for nearly 2 years, so I was very curious how the DZO Pictor Zoom would perform, especially in comparison to my set of cine primes. I have used these cinema lenses as a commercial DoP, on corporate filmmaking projects, and one branded documentary.

I really REALLY do not care about zoom, lenses and such. But still I end up watching your video. You have an enormous ability to capture audience, and project YOUR enthusiasm over to me the viewer. This makes me watch even the videos about stuff I do not care about. Applause to you my man! 👏👏👏👏
Well I agree. Understand nothing, but I can feel the video
Agreed. No real interest nor understanding, but I watch all these videos from Mumbo. I enjoy the editing, images/videos, and who doesn't enjoy listening to Mumbo?
agreed
100%
Yep, there was words and they might've been English.
Mumbo: “i’m a zoomer now”
Me: picturing Mumbo running across the world like the Flash 🏃🏻♂️
Now I realize after listening to your photo babble for five minutes what people think when I am spouting off about IT security details.
Nice to see you enjoying your passion/career!
This lens would be perfect for something documentary/mocumentary style. It has the perfect amount of character for a camera
wtf is a mocumentary
@@ThePineapplOfficial mock documentary, google it
Now when do we get a whole playlist of your beautiful work aye?!
Also I am quite glad this channel has such a personality of its own. As an artist aspiring to be an animator one day, this gives me quite the inspiration.
Loving your explanations =-=)/
I am a bit more of a photographer so I don't know too much about film, but I would like to say how Mumbo portrays contrast is so beautiful.
mumbo you inspire me so much with your work, so glad you are back!
You know, I never would've thought I'd enjoy cinematography but, after watching these videos for the past 3 years, I'm in high school planning to go on to university for cinematography lol
I have no idea what any of that means but I do love what you do with it!
Cool mr jumbo
While I wouldn't consider myself to be very into filmmaking myself, I find your creations and technique to be incredibly fascinating. You're an artist who uses light to create story and capture the essence of each moment within it, and that is really inspiring! Thank you for sharing these sorts of videos ^u^
I've selected the winner? Ain't no way! How about no :)
dude, do something better than trying to scam people 😂
nah nah it totally isnt a scam it's mumbo doing a giveaway! all you gotta do is send in your social security number, credit card details, name and adress- (/j)
@@Twaj_ pff xD
Its always great when you get a new piece of kit, and it ends up more useful than you think :)
I've always found the art of the camera a fascinating topic, and I'm so glad I found you as my artist.
It's really relaxing to listen to Mumbo describe cameras with words I've never heard before
The Razer ad *really slayed* for me!! In the moment and fun, check and check. Mr Mumbo jumbo, you have earned yourself a new photographical admirer
I love learning about technical camera things from your videos...please never stop making them. 💜
Gorgeous cinematography as always Mumbo :)
i have no ideas what these words mean but those are some fantastic visuals
5:10 - Seeing the amount of movement made me see another layer of the work, now I'm not only seeing the subjects and how they're framed but also what the camera has to do to get the shot!
So much knowledge dropped in this video - know nothing about what you’re talking about yet I feel like I’m an expert about what you’re talking about
Already have the other 2 Pictor zooms. Been thinking of getting the 14 - 30 to complete the set and add to the toolkit. I really like the look of these lenses and as you said making them parafocal is a really simple job.
This video was actually extremely enlightening! Great content!
Also, happy birthday soon, Hope you're getting on well!
Glad to see you’re getting back into the swing of things! The video is great!
I understood nothing but watching Magic-Movie-Mumbo being excited about it is still great to watch.
I like how 1:36 through 1:58 is really still and steady while you talk about technical sort of important stuff, and then as soon as you start just talking and moving on the shot tumbles away.
Great Video as always, nice to hear more inane filmmaking mumbo jumbo out of Mumbo Jumbo : P
I love the punch-zoom out shot you filmed, it looks so cool!
Looks like you are getting back into the swing of things. Have a happy birthday.
I absolutely love your style and how I wish I had the petience and confidence to do stuff like this myself!
Cool!!
Happy Birthday for tomorrow 🎉
I want this to be taken the best possible way
I think your film style at least in this video is starting to look like an Edgar Wright project so well done I think
It’s his incredible videography skills. This looks so professional and amazing I’m entranced
Love your style dude! keep making awesome stuff :)
Thanks for sharing, your knowledge, your art and your passion. Inspiring
Being a wanna-be animator watching film makers is so interesting. I've always watched bts of animation but it's very fun seeing directions and visual languages through a different media
Mumbo, I dont have any clue what anything you just said meant, but I'm happy that you're happy.
And, I rather enjoyed listening to you ramble about it.
:)
Dude i loved this sm!!!!:D
Great video, love the channel and content Mumbo :)
You're killing me with gear considerations rn these look excellent. The breathing like you said, not perfect, but it's excellent and the price point I mean a set of cinema lenses for 7k (EU, blech) and they just give such a professional result. T2.8 is pretty excellent for a zoom I mean the Vespids are 2.1 right? Picture is gorgeous. Great option and I wouldn't have known about these at all if not for this video, thanks :)
Your work has inspired me to start experimenting with video, not just photos.
The Man behind the Camera, Mr. Moustache himself
Mumbo, you inspire me.
I have no idea what you were talking about and I still watched this whole video
very swag mr jumbo
I really want some cenima lens just don't have the money and mumbo your work is amazing you are an inspiration!
lol the shot at 1:36 with the text appearing is so wes anderson, great
First time I'm seeing you on UA-cam - will have to dig further!
Just curious if you typically work with a focus puller on paid jobs, and if not, do you find yourself using a follow focus for handheld/shoulder mount work, or just pulling directly on the lens? And same question for zoom :)
primers unite! we are met with sacrilege. jokes, great vid mumbo
Wow Mumbo I'm so jealous you have a DZOfilm Pictor Zoom 14-30 with
1.9 kg Weight
0.8MM Gear Pitch
FIZ Rings Consistent on all Pictors
95MM External Front Diameter
86MM Internal Front Diameter
T2.8 Wide Open
Close Focus Of 0.6M
16 Iris Blades
and Covers Super35MM Sized Sensors.
(No seriously I am)
I heard a bunch of numbers and camera words and I realized I was on the wrong channel 😂
Even though I’m very confused I still enjoyed Mumbo technical noise.
Mumbo should do a review of iPhone cameras, specifically the latest iPhone 14.
mumbo very pog
When is the Kung-Fu Instructional out? Take my money!
What mic are you using? Great Vid!
Mumbo: Look at all these incredible looking shots I worked really hard on using these amazing lenses
UA-cam bitrate: Look at all these artifacts and colour-bending over the entire image, isn't that nice? It's almost art!
A little tip from me.. and this will increase your filesizes but.. youtube will give you videos a lot more bitrate if they are uploaded at 1440P or 4K. mitigating this somewhat! ofcourse, just advice. You still get the point across like this aswel! I really like your style in filmmaking! Though I am not one myself, I do have admiration for it and some amount of interest.Would be fun to explore it someday myself.
Focus breathing somehow always amazes me. IMO this is where you really can see the difference between a cheaper and expensive lens.
Great shots! subbbed
That street art doco project is from Belfast, right? Would love to get to know more about it. 👍👍
I have no idea of what he is talking about and I didn't understand a word, but I still oddly enjoyed the video. Good job 👍
I understand none of this but just looking at footage is just very nice
I was close to shooting a mock ad with these zooms but it fell through and now my next video Project will use a "head mounted camera". Which could just be a go pro.
I wonder if mumbo (or other people who have an interest in cameras) can tell what types of cameras were used for shooting a scene in a video.
Why did I only heard of this from Mumbos tweet? This video didnt appear on my yt sub tab thing o.O
My first thought when I read the title was that you somehow switched generations
i didnt know that mumbo can sound even smarter
it took me the whole video to realize it's about a lens
Hey I'm wondering what camera you are using with the zoom stuff? I would like to start making videos.
It's really quite simple
I didn't understand a single word. I mean truly this is 5 minutes of gibberish, but I enjoyed it :)
(a layman translation could be nice tho)
Mumbo, I thought I should let you know there's someone pretending to be you and spamming the comments with replies about obvious scams. Could you ban them, please? Thanks!
I have absolutely no idea what the words you said meant but I watched it nonetheless
I was expecting the vine boom every 3 seconds
Mumbo that was to much info for my little brain to handle
omg, zoomer xD that took me a while love that lol
hey mumbo, you may not see this but i'm considering a change in a uni / college course and i'm considering changing from animation to film studies
just wanna know if its worth it?
What is your camera setup? You said you had to adapt to EF, are you using Canon?
Sad real mumbo dont have moustache
Nice
Nopes. Still a millenial. But we love you anyways! :D
Well he is 26 which means he was born in 1996 which actually makes him gen Z (Zoomer), Millennial ends at 1995.
@@matthewLkidder no.
@@macenth_k9257 can't call him a millennial, he grew up with the internet, thats basically the defining feature of Gen Z.
@@matthewLkidder No.
When you discover thar mumbo does not have a Mustache irl.
How many other lies have i been told by the council ?
Wait when did mumbo become a camera guy
Sad that it is not FF, just got FX6
dont you dare give me another hyperfixation
I'm part of the zoomers too :)
👏
1:45 it's really difficult to read the pink text. Also love your work!
You might want to look at getting a vision test
Congratulations on your generational shift, mumbo
i am ashamed to say i watched the entire video before getting the joke in the title
These are words I think...
It was highly entertaining though
This was not what I thought the title meant lmao, thought you were changing generation
3:17. BAD MUMBO, YOU MUST START BAGGING YOUR C STANDS
This guy is literally talking mumbo jumbo to me.
the moment when you turn xZoomer KEKW
:O
But why not black magic or sony cameras ?
Yo
@TE-LEGRAMOfficialmumbo no not again another ******* spammer
Imagine using a horn to open your door, that would be cool
hehehe a fellow zoomer
its so odd that he does not have a mustache
Sooo… did he kinda just get too caught up and forget that rooms need a door, or…?
I don't know why I watch this. I literally have no clue in the topic of cameras, filmmaking etc.
