Wow, as an F1 and MotoGP fan living in the US, I feel like indycar is such overlooked racing (no disrespect! and I want that to change! :) Watching this edited version was great for knowledgeable fans, and I loved the idea, yet still felt left out. For very little cost, I believe a different edit could have been made to appeal to new possible fans - and ask existing fans to invite their friends to watch and enjoy, knowing that with extra info designed for them, they might get hooked. I want to see racing of all kinds grow. I believe I have suggestions that would help new viewers realize the intrest of indycar racing and engage with it.... I'm a racing fan living in So.Cal. for 7 years and went to my first indycar race this year at Long Beach because I never knew ahead of time that it was happening! I'd have gone every year had I just known the date! You can advertise to racing fans via targeted marketing very cheaply on facebook. Facebook knows I like F1 and MotoGP and you should be using them to tell me what I could be watching. Your UA-cam coverage is MUCH better than F1 or MotoGP, and I feel I'm missing it. We should all be arguing about something here because we are invensted in this great series. I can give you instant examples beyond what I've shared to help grow the series. You're right. Things are slowly getting better, but the split really messed things up. Indy has a great product, and their youtube presence is the best! But other media is falling short compared to F1 and such. With a series so easily accessible to the fans, you're right, there should be 100 comments by now. Look at F1 reddit vs. Indycar reddit, the participation is night and day. Hopefully they keep ramping things up. To be fair though, Indycar has like a thousandth the budget of F1 lol.
Thank you! And LOL - I was thinking of reddit f1 vs indy as I wrote that! I think the F1 reddit is 250k vs. 10k. It doesn't have to be that big a differential tho yes budget has a huge part, but creativity and fan engagement can make a HUGE difference, and F1 is totally in a bubble that's ready to burst (as I"m sure many have said for years). But I'd love to shake things up with personalities and insider info that you can surpass from f1. I'm a newbe to indy, but just watching a front wing being adjusted during a pitstop was entertaining. And there were 1/2 the people doing the pitstop / tire change than in F1 so I could see what was happening - was informative and entertaining. there's a lot to work with there, but I think the people in charge are too close to see the opportunity. And you are totally right that the UA-cam presense is a HUGE advantage - especially with those of us w/o cable. (I get all my F1 shall we say... 'offline'). There is opportunity, and I'll always support a US-based racing series (and miss good AMA racing). I hope it can happen!

I wonder if race radios did not exist, with 20 laps to go would Newgarden have gotten too focused on beating Pagenaud ?
