I've heard on another source (think a talking racer duo)that the brain trust at Indycar deemed that everybody had to start on wet tires. Over regulating alert. Learn when to not regulate. "Have at it boys" is sometimes fine.
That was an incredibly dangerous spot for Sato to spin and then drive backward on the course. If it hadn't have been yellow and Rossi had come around that corner a few seconds earlier while he was doing that...would have been bad at best. FCC was the only thing they could do. Or do you mean peculiar as in...strange that it was another Andretti car that spun?
I think so many Indycar full course cautions could be handled with a local yellow, need to stop Brian Brainfart's influence on this. Sato didn't need a full course at all.
You know it's past time for drone cams when you have to rely on video uploaded from Twitter to catch a spin-out on the course. I hope they paid that person something for the use of their video.
I didn't realize someone had said it (perhaps was Townsend Bell, as Cheever was not on the broadcast). IndyCar tweeted it was not a fan camera, but one of their own. Perhaps it was their own Twitter it was taken from. twitter.com/IndyCar/status/904419473746255872
My UA-cam feed came up with this. Forty six years, one month and ten days ago was a Can-Am race at Watkins Glen. Much has changed, but some things are still the same! ua-cam.com/video/KRmTz3KvSig/v-deo.html
They barely got any runner down on the track and the race is over. Not much racing, not much competition. Not much to watch. No wonder Indycar is suffering.
Road courses are what keeps me coming back to Indy. TY @indycar
Thank you for this fast forward @indycar :)
Dammit I want the 2018 cars to come already, they look so good.
Thanks for this. Congrats Rossi.
Finally, the second to the last race of his second season, Alexander Rossi won his first pole and won his first road course race!
More action than yesterdays f1 race
SuperMechguy check out the first formula 2 race from this past weekend. The last 4 laps is insane.
Rey Roman thanks, defiently will,
Was disappointed with F1s last race
TK & Power could really help some smaller teams make the league more competitive.
Plot twist. Sato spun on purpose so his teammate could get back on pit sequence.
It is suspicious that his teammate spun by himself at exactly the right time.
5:23 I would have freaked out and crashed immediately
shw

Happy for Rossi, but that was a very peculiar yellow

Scott Emrich he was at the exit of the turn. That could easily turn into a Brian herta incident

It wasn't from Twitter. Was one of IndyCar's trackside cameras.
The announcer (Cheever, I think) says on the feed it's from Twitter.

And here is the original video they posted. twitter.com/IndyCar/status/904416492682346496

And here's my review on the race

Rear left tyre changer - the least desirable job in IndyCar!
Or rear right, depending on the track and pits!
