We just got done baking these…
Important note: We did them in 2 batches and the second batch that we let cook for 25 min (5 min longer than the first), came out of the silicone molds intact and MUCH cleaner (both rested for 30 min). How well cooked they are made a big difference! They tasted absolutely delish - definitely keeping this recipe. :-)

Your issues pouring the batter into the donut pan brings back memories. I am also too lazy to pipe the mix to get a perfect donut with the hole. After my first screw-up, I started over-filling the pan on purpose. My mother liked filled donuts, but that is too much trouble. Fill the pan enough to slightly cover the center piece for the hole. When baked, the hole is sealed. Remove it from the pan, flip the donut, then fill the 'hole' with something tasty (maybe peanutbutter), then frost the top. You could also use a zero sugar jam or Greek yogurt as filling.
Thank you both for all the great content.

I make these as plain vanilla out of a cottage cheese mug cake recipe then when they are still hot give them a spray of olive oil and dust them with cinnamon and sweetener and they come out just like a hot cinnamon donut. So good if I have been out to the shops and passed one of those hot cinnamon donut kiosks and caught a craving lol! I cut down a silicone mold from six to two so I can portion control too! Great video as always girls, and just remember if it doesn't look perfect, it's 'rustic' and either way it tastes the same!♥♥♥

With anything chocolate add espresso powder or instant coffee & every baked good needs a pinch of salt. Don't worry abt cottage cheese making it salty. Salt opens the taste buds to sweets. Cooking with Dave makes a good cottage cheese donut you could try. It's like a cake donut with cinnamon &nutmeg. I made them & it's pretty good. Sprayed the pan & they fell out easy. TY so much for the new recipes! Love watching you guys!❤

People in the UK refer to almond flour as almond meal. As did my Scottish mom. It’s a beggar pouring batter in a donut pan!! Piping bags work, but I’m always too lazy to use em. For icing sugar you can use regular Swerve and blitz in the blender to make it. I use to blitz regular white sugar pre-diabetic days to make icing sugar if I had none on hand. I made your red velvet cake for my husband’s birthday. Everyone loved it. Been searching for a recipe for a good vanilla donut, haven’t found one I like yet. Saw a keto vanilla donut recipe where donut was fried. Never tried it. I very rarely fry anything.

I had a recipe for traditional cake donuts without cocoa. It's for the dry mix and then you make them up as you want.
It tastes just like Dunkin Stix snack cakes!
I'd like to figure out a low carb version of that. I think the secret of them tasting like the snack cakes was the addition of a small amount of nutmeg and cinnamon. It's the texture I'm wondering about.
They are already dense. I'm afraid almond flour would make them a choking hazard 😂

Please brush a little butter into that pan before adding the batter. That silicone coating may work without it now, but I’d be willing to bet it won’t last long if you don’t lubricate it. (Also, never soak that pan in the sink, which will almost certainly cause it to rust very quickly (ask me how I know!). Thanks for another of what always turns out to be a fun video. Glad it succeeded this time around. Sounds good; I may just give it a try. 👍
