There is a fender tag missing which is " Hemi Fender" that should be next to the other one. They came with special cut fenders to clear the large F-60-15 tires. I know cause I have the I bought in 1970!

The black one reminds you of my brother's 70 446 pack cooter back in the day... Brings back some great memories

Just to let you know there's no hockey stick stripe for 1971, you could only get the big billboard stripe and the hemi code on the fender tag and VIN is R and 440+6 is V.

Awesome video. Nice to see both cars side by side. Really enjoyed watching this. The silver paint that has the texture is called "Argent Silver". There is a dark and a light version of the Argent Silver. The same paint can be found on the center caps of the Rallye wheels (on the "In Violet" car in the video). The three 2 barrels carbs on a Plymouth were called a "Six Barrel". Only Dodge called the three 2 barrels a "Six Pack". As mentioned by previous comments, for Plymouth, the purple was called "In Violet". Only Dodge called the color "Plum Crazy". The front lights under the front bumper are called "Road Lamps". The 6 Barrel Cuda will typically be faster off the line (Auto or manual trans) but the Hemi will typically out perform at top end. BTW, the polyglas tires may be "original" but not necessary original to that car. All and all, both bad ass cars!

According to a friend that owns a Cuda in Purple the Plymouth color was Inviolet not Plum Crazy (Dodge's version) as stated in the video. 🤓

Very cool cars, and nicely done down to the original style batteries. The hemi code is denoted by the R in the serial number.
The 440+6 vehicle is denoted as such by the V code in its serial number, and technically, the Plymouths were referred to as 6bbl's rather than 6 Packs (Dodge). V codes were 390hp in '70, and 385 in '71. The '71 was rated at 490 lb-ft of torque.
Thanks for the entertaining video. Careful, bc even if they look perfect, 50yo tires are probably dry-rotted.

I own a black on black 1971 Hemi Cuda I've owned since 1974, but mines a 4 speed car. It sits in my garage right next to my 1933 Ford Opera coupe.

I know the tires look good with no cracks on the purple car but it's still crazy they drive this car on 50 year old tires

Nice the 71 has not got the fog lights .they are the Turing signals below. The fog light was an option on the 71 . And the 70 limelight colour fj5 was a one year only colour . Both beautiful cars because I have a 70 limelight car 340 I would love to have its big brother parked next it . The ebodies are just a wonderful shape IMO the 71 was a rarer car but a hemi is a hemi for a reason nice video thank you
