I'm confused, i haven't played this game in a long time so i'm a bit fuzzy on the rules, but i seem to remember that in order to do a haunt roll you always roll 6 dices, and if you roll less than the total number of omens in play then the haunt starts (which means that it's hard to begin the haunt in the first or second turn, altought it's not impossible, but it's easier to do later in game), but here, they're rollling one dice per omen, and applying the rest of the rule the same way, so in the first roll, you only roll one dice and if you get 0 then the haunt begins, thing is, those dices have, i believe, 3 blank spaces, so in the first time rolling for the haunt to start you basically have 50% chance of doing it. I'm not sure if i remember the rules wrong, or if Rick house-ruled the haunt roll, or if this is a newer edition of the game and they changed that.
They messed up that rule the first couple of haunt rolls, they caught themselves and corrected to 6 dice.
The makers didn't change anything, and it's still an awesome game, there's even an expansion for it now which gives the game a cannon ending, a new floor, and more item, omen, and event cards. Also, there are 2 sides with each 0, 1, and 2 on them, you were close, but still have the right idea: they did do it wrong with the one die.
Oh ok, i mean, i understand, i have played board games for several years now and i'm still waiting for the day i won't get wrong some important rule(s).

#54:00 After the haunt the traitor's left starts,not the usual turn rotation.... this happens so often in all the playthrough, it triggers me so much that i tend to ignore all other mistakens done during the game.. (including the fact that the bride is supposed to roll 7 dice to defend the attack...... and even if she loses, she is only stunned (for a turn)) and she doesn't lose stats when she loses..
Yeah, I think they could have 'won' if they had the proper turn order. I also think killing Rick wouldn't have actually had them win.
I'm literally like half an hour into my own session of playing this game with friends, and I got this notification! Lol. What a fantastic game!
The ghost can’t be killed. She can only be stunned. This anticlimactic ending was not actually valid.
I kept seeing Betrayal on the shelf in other, more recent game night videos. Had to try and find a video of them playing it, and here I am
I just got the game for Christmas and I love it! So glad to see others playing it, it’s such a great party game and I’m hoping to bring over friends so it might work as a good “meeting people game” if we can get over the learning curve!
They should do a live action role play of this game, that would be so fun to watch.

ERROR: The Haunt Roll requires 6 dice to be rolled, not an amount of dice equal to the Omens cards in play. The value of pips on the 6 dice rolled must be lower than the amount of Omen cards in play for the haunt to start. Refer to page 15 of the user manual to confirm this rule.

Wow. I literally just first found out about and played this game about 2 weeks ago. One of my friends brought it for one of our game nights. I love it.
I think Rick threw at the end just so everyone else could have more fun. He actually won, but I guess everyone else had more fun thinking they won.

Based on what you guys read on camera and general understanding of the rules: Did both sanity attacks wrong the target gets to roll sanity and reduce the attack by that much. Traitor does not go first after the haunt is revealed, the player to their left goes first. The Ghost sanity is for attacking and defending, they are only stunned for a turn if they are defeated by the ring. The ghost rolls dice to determine how far it goes. The attacker determines what stat is used for both attack and defense, the defender cannot use an alternative stat even if they have an item that allows them to attack with an alternative stat(this was a verbal mistake only you never defended with the wrong stat).

Love seeing this game played guys. Would love to see some more videos on this. Just a tip for next time, read up a bit more on the mechanics of combat and the monsters themselves. Some mistakes were made here and there.

Shouldn't the ghost bride have counter rolled with her sanity against the attack?
Looks to me as though you botched the ending: apart from the movement botch the ghost couldn't be killed, so the wedding would still have gone ahead since the heroes hadn't met the conditions to stop it.
I would love for these guys to play the Sabacc!
Hasbro released their version called the Han Solo Card game and I think these guys would have fun with that!

Edit: couple rule mistakes all the players get a turn before the traitor also monster movement is different than player movement you roll that many dice and the roll is the creatures movement

Then I lost track of him. I should check out what has happened since.
Rick trying to marry Shane. Hilarious. But after the Haunt reveal you always start to the left of the traitor. I think in this scenario the correct turn order would have had a huge impact on the turn of events. A lot of other rules errors during the endgame here. That's one of the problems I have with Betryal. So many rules you can easily miss. Well, here they missed even basic rules. But still.
Loved the vid but you guys mixed up the order. The Traitor stays at the table and sets up the Haunt while the others leave to plan based on the small clues they have before returning

To be fair the rules are a bit confusing on the bride dying part, many player run into that problem.

"You roll number of dice equal to how many omen cards are in play, if you roll zero the haunt starts" WRONG! You roll six dice no matter what and if you roll less than the number of omen cards in play the haunt starts. Read the rules.
This was a travesty of a game. So many rules ignored or done wrong. They didn't win, they lost. The bride can't be killed only stunned by the ring. They have to get both the ring, body and name to the chapel to win and they didn't.

Actually really happy with Trump in this situation.. He has done what many presidents wanted and that was to bring North Korea to the table. That alone shows Trump being the right President. I feel that if we were to impose our own values on another nation wouldn't we be just like a Supreme Ruler.
