Well done, Jeremy! This is absolutely a must-see video. If I weren’t already WFPB, I would start after watching this. Thank you for your time and research. (Member of your Mighty network)
Glad you enjoyed it Suzanne!
This was a really lovely approach. Fact based, not preachy and hopefully will encourage those, like me, slowly transitioning to a mostly plant based diet. Thanks for this Jeremy, from a proud fellow Canuck 😉 🇨🇦
My pleasure! Thank you for saying so - what part of Canuck-ia are you from?
@@pbwithjeremy Hahaha, Montreal. Keep on Yummin'
An excellent summary of the issues. Well done, Jeremy. I'll be sharing this with everyone.
Thank you!
3 minutes y’all. I was curled up in my super soft PBwithJ blanket. Glass of water in hand. 3 minutes till air time. Oh well. Life happens. This is an awesome bunch of info Jeremy! I’m one of those from the 70s who actually listened to the global warming warnings. I’ve been conserving power and water my whole life. Still am. I had bad feelings about micro plastic before it was even a thing. I just knew plastic didn’t degrade like natural materials at all. So I started limiting plastics in my household. Now I do my best not to buy plastic products. And when I do it’s got to be multi use. When I found out about palm oil and what it has done to the rain forest and gorillas I stopped buying products with palm oil. You know they slip it into so many things! The palm oil issue is what sent me looking for whole food plant based. Don’t want any more processed foods. I’m doing pretty well with it even though meal planning isn’t easy for me. Yet. I’ll get the hang of it. Carnivores like to bring up the fact plant harvesting also kills animals. It does. Being plants there will be critters out there. And pesticides are horrible. But. The meat “farmers” kill just as many harvesting hay corn and other feedstuffs for the animals. Then they kill animals by the billions. Daily. And let’s be honest here. The critters killed in the field had a better life than the animals being “farmed”. Yes I wish no animals would ever be hurt or killed. And I’m not dissing meat eaters. Just stating facts. We can all get along. Really. We just need to try harder to work together to save our planet. We have no where else to go. Peace y’all.
Thank you for this Kimberley!
Sorry you were delayed!
@@pbwithjeremy me too! I miss my chat peeps!
@@pbwithjeremy very well done video Jeremy. You should do more of these. It’s definitely worth sharing!

Thank you for this video. I shared it with my non-vegan family hoping they will take things seriously. We need change and hopefully this will help.
Thanks for sharing!!
THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!! ONE OF THE BEST, AND MOST RELEVANT, VIDEOS THAT THE WORLD MUST SEE!!!
Thanks! Agree! Wish more people would watch it!
Being a klimaatactivist myself.
I approve of this message!
Thanks Jeremy for making this video!
I will share/show my xr friends. thow most of them are vegans, it helps them to convince other family and friends.
In love and rage ❤️🔥
Go plant based. 🌱
In love and rage!!! :)
Thanks Anne!
This video is exactly what people need to see. (The marshmallow comment and the part about people not caring about animals had me laughing, even though the topic is very serious.) Thank you so much for making this! I appreciate you.
- Jess from Waterloo, Iowa
Thank you Jess!!!
I love the discussion about the government subsidies. It is so true that if meat were more expensive and produce was cheaper, people would change their spending habits. If they are recommending we eat more plants, they need to provide a means for that. But perhaps they are funded by the medical industry, who want people to get sick so that they can make more money!
Yeah - I try not to think about that possibility of corruption - it's all so sad enough as-is :(
I’m a muffin in Arizona in the summer. Temperature over 115º for days on end! 😢 I’ve been WFPB for 4 years.
Sorry to hear about that :(
Another awesome video Jeremy and this subject has to be discussed because combined with animal agriculture and the fossil fuel industry they are both doing the most damage to the planet. We only have one planet to live on and have to do a better job of looking after it. We are failing to fulfil the original purpose of the earth that God had in mind for it as mentioned in Genesis 1:26-28 and Genesis 2:15. Love 🥰 the video and love ❤ Jeremy and family.
Thanks David!
Wonderful and informative video done with tact and compassion: everything we have come to expect from you! Well done!
Thank you! I'm really happy with how this one turned out :)
Good for you for doing this video. Thank you 🙏
Thank yoU!!!
Great video,, love all your videos but especially this message ! Thanks so much, Mary from Long Island New York!!
Thank you Mary!!!
Brilliant video xx
Wonderful summary of the effects factory farming has, and will continue to have, on our planet if we don't open ours eyes and make the small changes that will collectively have the greatest impact on our world. I try to live by example without yucking anyone's yum... but boy is it hard to keep my mouth shut sometimes! Just eat more plants people!
Same. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing the information!
Our pleasure!
Well done!👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you! 😃
You have such a way with explaining things in a today sort of way!
Oh wow. Thank you!
A helpful tool would be some current satellite photos compared with the oldest available showing a side-by- side comparison of the effects of animal agriculture on global terrrain, like forests, deserts, polluted water ways, etc. Maybe that would open the eyes of those that don't believe. Anyone know of a resource like this?
There's loads if you google for it - before/after is tricky since no one expected global-warming so it's hard to know what is where - but these certainly paint a picture: www.cbsnews.com/pictures/climate-change-photos/14/ @@giojibear1114
@@pbwithjeremy Wow! Thanks - I needed something to share with other people!
Great video Jeremy!
Glad you think so!
Thank you Jeremy, If only the slaughter house were made of glass...even then I think some people would chose to look away before being brave enough to see what is really going on. I set the example always. (well for the last 7 years since I realized what was happening). From doing so my daughter changed over 1 year later as she loved the food I eat I was preparing. ( so now she has been eating this way for 6 years) My husband changed over only 1 year ago. But he has done it. And he was a real meat lover. I have just purchase The How Not to Die and How Not to Age Books by Michael Greger, for myself and my sister. Of course I have read them both. But asked my sister if she would like to read them together as she enjoys my food 3 days a week when she visits. So they have just arrived and we are starting to read them together next week together. I have purchase Yellow high lighter for us both as thats how I read most of my books. By highlighting the important bits that stick out. It will be interesting to see if she gets an impact. I know I have managed to change a few of her view and she now eats less dairy and less meat. The one things that she always say t me is...but I don't like cooking or food prep. I just look at her and say I don't like dying and not being here for my family and I love animals and see them as our equals , I also like knowing what is in my food...............As you know Jeremy, People will always find excuses to not do something that different or they find hard to do. But I am so grateful that you put this out their. Because as you mentioned just if we make little changes, even one people can change so much to climate change etc. Thank you so much for showing this video. Its so important. Even if your video changed 1 persons view or even made them think about how they live. It was worth it. Good on you. Take Care. Terri from Australia 🦘 🇦🇺 💜
Thank you for this Terri - it's why I do it - even if this helps one person think differently it's worth the effort. Thank you for sharing your journey here. So glad you're sharing this with your family!
well said Jeremy
Thanks!!!
Looking forward to sharing this video, Jeremy❤
Please do!
Not gonna lie, there's a part of me that is really resisting making dietary changes (also I have disordered eating issues), but I've been starting to feel really uncomfortable with the idea of breeding and raising sentient beings as food products. Thanks for making videos like this.
Sounds like you're on brink of considering some changes - I would urge you to lean into those and see where it leads you, on your own speed...
One of the BEST vids you have done this far! Sandy from Colorado (USA) 😊
Agreed! Please share!
Love this video!❤
Glad you liked it!! Please share if you can!
Important
Well done, Jeremy! I LOVED this video and will keep hitting the share button! 😊
You're the best! It's the kind of video I think a lot of people avoid out of guilt but it's an important message
Loving your work. Respect to you my friend.
Much appreciated
I’m eating more plant based now than ever, although, I don’t really see myself giving up meat entirely. I could probably abstain from most meat except chicken. The type of chicken sold at the grocery stores are mostly the ones that can’t survive after about 8 weeks anyway. Left on their own, they’ll die due to weight gain and broken bones. I feel good eating mostly plant based, but after a week or two, I don’t feel my best unless I eat some type of meat-usually chicken. The longest I’ve gone plant based was 2 months, and I was so hungry I couldn’t stand it anymore. I was eating nut butters and avocados out the yin yang until I finally gave up and had a piece of chicken. After that, I felt fine. That being said, I would love it if more restaurants included more plant based options. Some are already doing it, and they can be very tasty! I feel like the change is already happening really. It’s just slow.
It's great that you're incorporating more plant-based options into your diet! Balance is key. Sounds like chicken is your "emergency meat" - I totally get that - eggs were like that for me for while, and then I just kept expanding the plant-based foods I'd try and suddenly one day I realized I hadn't eat eggs or any other animal products for 3 months and that I was actually fully plant-based. Maybe that could happy with you, but if not that's okay too. Sounds like you're doing fantastic!
Thankyou, this was a great video, educational and interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it! Share if you feel comfortable!
Thanks so very much!!!
You're welcome!
Wow! UA-cam actually let me know you have something coming up! Awesome. Wednesday is iffy for me but I’ll do my best! Love my chat peeps! 🤗
This isn't a live. Just our usual Wednesday 12pm EST video
@@pbwithjeremy no live chat?
Oh - I guess during the "premiere" time - wait - people are live chatting during that time?! I've been missing it!!!
Not news to me.
1960s New Jersey US where I lived then, you could taste the air. Then came the Clean Air Act of 1970. Major improvements to air quality followed. Sadly, since 2016 funding for the agencies that enforce the laws has been deteriorating. The EPA has been successfuly sued by agroindustries and its power greatly diminished.
I've been eating a plant-based diet for years. My partner is not on board. Recently, he tested high in LDL and triglycerides. He is having to radically change what he eats to avoid taking meds. The animal products are not eliminated but, greatly diminished.
Only 55% of crops grown worldwide are for direct human consumption according to a recent National Geograghic report. 36% is used for livestock and 9% for biofuels. Two of the worst crops used for all 3 uses are sugarcane and gmo corn (used for high fructose cornsyrup).
So sorry to hear that you've lived with all of that. Ugh. No living creature should have to. Thank you for sharing all of this and adding to the conversation. Sorry hear your partner isn't fully on board, but glad to hear that he's trying!
😂 the govt is handing out marshmallows
Not even vegan ones!
I have no respect for anyone who knows the truth yet plods on regardless.
I especially hate the "but it tastes so good..." comments. That's not even an argument, it's just a way of saying "I can't be bothered to care about who or what suffers for my meal."
I have written to my U.S. senator (himself a vegan!) to stop subsidizing meat and dairy.
Thank you!!!!
I thought pasture-raised or grass-fed were more resource heavy and less sustainable
In theory because they aren't all crammed into as little a space as possible. But if the idea is that humans dramatically reduce the amount they eat we'll need a fraction of what we have now.
Honestly - I'm not championing any way of raising animals for human consumption - so this is a bit of a moot point - we need to reduce or we're in trouble - that's the headline.
@@pbwithjeremy oh, I agree!
If you think this is bad wait until you hear what the great US of A is up to-Crystal from Philly
Thanks Crystal. So sad.
Well, for me, I don't eat animal products because it's cruel to do this to animals when it's completely unnecessary. As a side benefit of being a good human being I also reduce water pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
Cheers to all that!
