I dont really see any harm in carrying 1-2 HE in case you have to reset base cap, in that case is not useless because AP and APCR can often fail to detrack or/and maybe ricochet because of low calliber. In that case HE will do at least 1 dmg or do some module dmg and reset base. Maybe Im just bad but I never had a game where I was out of ammo with 140
mudza it does nothing to tier 10 heavies, Ive tested it in training rooms. If youre shooting at the front of a tier 10 heavy its better to load HEAT, I made a vid about this a while ago IIRC
have you tried shoot them below the hull? i do this all the time in my derp tanks and i consistently do 300-400 in with the derp 150mms or 500-600 with the top tier japanese heavies. you can even aim for the tracks but below the hull if they are angling and it will work the same way as well as track them.
You don't shoot HE at the front of a heavy. As you correctly point out, that's stupid and HEAT is better. I can't tell you how many times I am up against a dumb heavy in a perfect sidescrape with 10 hp though. HE into the tracks. Back to garage, dummy.

Just got the OBJ. 140 on Xbox, and its my first tier X, loved the grind and would recommend the t34-85 -- t-44 -- t-54 -- line as they're the best all around medium tanks and put you in a great spot to get to the good tier X heavies if you go back and grind out the A-44 line web. So far i've played two games and i know exactly what to do since it is very similar to the previous tanks you grind to get it. What i'm getting at is, your videos have helped me as a player, and improved my decision making in current meta games. Thanks for all your hard work and helping me keep a 53% and growing win rate!
Great video. I am grinding this line and have been waffling between Obj 140 and the 62A, and I am now going to 62A. The other reason not mentioned is the better turret armour. The 140 has a big weak spot on top of the turret, and despite the one degree of better gun depression, I think having the stronger armour tips the balance.

Lemming, if you actually do the math the 140 has better gun handling other than minimum avg dispersion. The way aim time works is that it's the time it takes for the aiming circle to shrink to 1/3 it's former size repeating this process until it reaches min dispersion. The 140 dispersion on the move and turning the tracks are about 23% better and the aim time is less than 5% worse than the 62a, turning the turret doesn't really add enough to the dispersion to matter. The dispersion of the 140 moving at full speed or turning tracks at full speed is better than the 62A by more than 5% thus leading to better aim time anytime you move the tank's hull and better accuracy on the move. Basically if you move your hull at all the 140 will aim faster, if you only turn your turrett the 62a aims faster. To each their own, but thought I should clear it up with math.

view range should be max as possible- even 600 if possible..it does not make tanks on your screen visible before 447 but it does effectively degrade the cammo of the enemy. so for example a 600 view range will make you see x enemy at 400m with 440 view range you spot same x enemy at 330m for example. values are for example only

You might be aware already, but the D-10T2S gun (connected to the 140) is generally superior to the D-54 due to dispersion, aim time, DPM and accuracy. Good luck with the grind, still, the T-54's a nice tank even nowadays!

I'm surprised that you don't place more value on view range (and, thus, optics versus vents). Granted, on some maps it's superfluous. But on maps where it does matter, I feel like being able to outspot the enemy is a powerful advantage--and the greater the advantage, the better. I mean, obviously you know whereof you speak. You're the unicum and I'm the filthy pleb. It just surprises me.

You had a smart team that actually helped this time,most team mates in my games are absolutely brain dead, I was in mines yesterday on the right side of south spawn, I'm in T 62A and on low HP after a few kills,a full HP M103 is right beside me, all he has to do is push around to kill low hp E100 and Object 704 and I will support and we can win the side,what does he do?He starts reversing allllll the way back to the left side leaving me to die,that is how 90% of the games I have play out.

the game isn't black or white, but neither is the same shade of grey either some heavy tanks have to be fully committed cause they don't have the speed to switch flanks
in the comparison between the t62a and 140 he dont say the main reason because 140 is more used than t62a, GUN DEPRESION, and if want a armor and dpm u go for 430 not t62a
I play better in my 140 but have more fun in in the t62a... I average like 2.5 k damage in 140 and like 2.0 in my t62a. But I think I have more fun in the T62a because the turret is so badass, u bounce almost everything even tho on paper the 140 seems to have a better one. If u could do something like quickly baby and compare the 2 tanks turrets on that website he uses. what do you do in mts when there is a huuuuge imbalance in how many hts the teams have? as in you have 1 top tier heavy and 2 bottom tier heavies, but they have 5 top tier heavies and 2 mid tier heavies, and its a map like ruinberg?

spam apcr, i just got the 121 and until you get the second and top gun ur useless. even when you get the second gun all the stats are worse than the t54 gun. hull down is the name of the game but mostly try to play around the mediums or heavies.
I really like your 'to the point way' of making your video's. no bullshit, just telling what makes sense! I played the Russian med-line and really enjoyed it.. until I got on the T-54 and started to get only shit teams combined with not being able to deal with the bad gun depression. Weird thing is, that I don't struggle with it that much in my T-10, which I kept and love to play. Thanks for the nice vids with Russian meds. I learned some stuff and though I don't win much more, my gameplay has improved so at least I get more xp out of it. I wonder why you did not take the 430 into the comparison =) I played it on Sandbox and I really enjoyed it.
430 is a seperate tank so I didnt feel it was worth it to compare, if youre going up the 430 line youll get the 430, its not a question of 430, 140 or 62a first when youre playing the t54, if that makes sense
They must have changed it without me seeing it. As far as I know you could unlock all 3 out of T-54.. but I haven't checked Russian lines for a long time.
I dont Really have Problems with Module damage in my 140... ammo racks happen 1/5 games and fires happen 1/15 or so games ...907 is a bitch though its ammo rack and fuel tank are made from dust
I ground a shitload of credits in preparation for tier 10 LTs. Turn on credit boosters and cycle continuously through the premiums in which you have the most success. Anytime you die, exit immediately and jump into the next tank. Try to avoid shooting premium ammo if possible. It's amazing how fast credits accumulate with this approach. (With a 25% credit booster on I made 182K credits profit in a single 252U battle, which I think was a record for me.)

5 years of Wot and highest tank i have is tier 9 T54. I have exp and unlocked both mediums... problem is credits... i unlocked them but cant buy them... Impossible to have fun without premium in this game... I have almost 9k games at 2k wn8... but this days i just lose credits ar tier 9 without premium...
I have played this game for a year and a half, played 13k games, and have 2 tier9's and going up like 20 lines at the same time and don't have a premium account. I have loads of fun, and definitely after 9.18 patch. I still have 5m credits.. Don't waste premium shells, focus on playing like lemmingrush, more on location than on damage or xp or something like that. You'll win more, and get credits
even if I win at tier 9 and do 3-4k damage and die... I stil lose credits... so yeah.. if i want credits I need to farm tier 6's for 1000 games... No premium account is no joke... and playing low tiers to farm credits sucks all the fun out of the game... not to mention getting called stat padder all the time because I'm a 2k+ wn8 and rising guy playing tier 6's...
I don't know what to say. I filled up about 35 garage slots, and I'm still getting new tier5 and tier6 tanks. And even old tanks I still enjoy, hell my favourite of all time is the russian T-34. Just got a PzIII/IV which got mega buffed and it's awesome playing it. IDK, playing at the same tier is not playing the same tanks, so maybe expand to new lines? And about tier9, yea it sucks, I also only make credits if I still live. But I got enough from playing other tanks. Btw, haven't payed WG a penny, slots were all earned and don't have any premiums.

You know, I have been thinking about when I asked about swamp, and you kind of touch on that idea here, its just if you don't know where to go, go to where the action is, and then redirect as the game develops, and I think that is pretty much solid advice for even there, but at the same time, you seem to go to weak flanks a bit, and generally the mediums go north on swamp, so, is the south a strong play to assure they win and fast there, or should you spend time making sure your mediums stay alive? I hate going to the very northwest corner, as it isolates you from the base TD support, but that seems to be where most go, I like to stay down toward the bottom at this point. I have had some nice times coming back to WOT and getting 70% WR in my tier 7 Leo flat out dominating at times, and your content always gets me in the mindset to push myself to be better, so thanks for that, lemmi.

Optics on Medium tanks is just sooo much better than ventilation, as you dont even notice the ventilation in game. 427 Meters viewrange in a Tier X Med is just awfull

The Obj. 140 is pretty much the "standard" or "average" tank you get on tier 10. Nothing good or bad, ecept for the gun. I found people will give a fuck about his alphadamage when they have an autoloader or big hitting gun, trying to do good trades. Thats why i realy dont like it. Having good DPM only comes into play when you can flank or snipe them in safety. Otherwise i personally had much better experience when i drove my 121, or E 50 M. Noone wants to take a 440 shot. Thats why more people are scared of those. My playstyle is focusing on this fact :P
I have had the Object 140 for years - and quit playing six months ago or so. I quit over 2 years ago and came back about 18 months later, only to find turds in the game ramming, shooting and pushing my tank. I stopped playing the first time because of all the carp WG did to the community, I left the last time because of that and the turds playing.

Well like, if you lose your driver, blow your med kit because you dont have jack of all trades and then lose your commander while youre trying to carry, youre sorta fucked.. I dont think its useful, the overwhelming majority of maps dont facilitate camo play
yeah but all tanks have some sort of moving camo rating, take my WZ-132-1 has 32% camo when moving, higher if i use food. Even if you have 445 view range youre not going to spot me until like 320ish meters WHILE MOVING. Meanwhile my t49 with binoculars set up has i think about 500 view range meaning it can spot basically every tank moving around except tier 10 scouts. Even regular mediums have 10%ish camo moving meaning you wont spot them moving until around 400 meters with 445 view range. but if you have above 445 you can outspot them a lot when moving. If i had 445+ view range and you had a tank with 445 exactly with that means i can spot you and shoot at you at 445 meters without you spotting me. Cuz lights/ mediums have at least 3-5% camo when firing. Also if you ever could, i recently played this game wotreplays.com/site/3536569, idk why the link is so weird something is wrong with WOT uploading currently. But i feel like that was the best i could do in that game. I did 5500 damage in a tier 10 LIGHT and still lost horribly. Was it because i didnt target that strv1030? I thought 4-5 of our team could handle it. I have a 29% win rate in the 132-1 and i pull at least 2500+ damage and 1000 spotting per game. If you could ever watch that and tell me what i did wrong or what im doing wrong in that tank to lose so often i would honestly appreciate it.
yea but you have to understand, how often are you ever more than 300 meters away from someone? Maybe on like 5 maps you can do that and not be throwing? All the important parts of maps, that need to be won if you want to have some sort of chance at winning revolve around 100 meter or closer engagements.. Games arent normally decided in 1 v 1s, its the 5v5s where people are close enough to touch eachother that normally result in the outcome of the game. And youre almost never able to impact those crucial fights by being 300+ meters behind your team mates Havent watched the replay yet, im on my phone :p
i get what youre saying but im pretty sure we come from two different playstyles because you like tanks like the russian mediums and the gameplay that goes along with that but as for top tier mediums i prefer the 30b with the best in class accuracy and high view range/ camo which lets me play vision games and then snipe unsuspecting people. Probably why the closest tank i have to a 3 mark is the borsig with 92%
No reason to go past 445.... completely disagree there. You definitely want at least 10-20 more, to at least burn through *some* of the enemy camo and still reaching 445 spotting cap.
If you are trying to spot someone with camo, you've already lost because regardless of the difference between your viewrange and the camper's viewrange, the camper is going to spot you first because he will have 40-70% camo whereas you will only have 20-30% at best while on the move. Unless you push your view range over 500, there is no way you are outspotting a camper who has only 400 view range.
I haven't said anything about campers or camo values in those ranges at all. Very few tanks achieve 40% camo when stationary, and far less 70%. What I am talking about is your typical 1:1 scenario where you are trying to outspot a more or less comparable enemy to yourself. And since all tanks have some camo value still when moving, you want a little extra view range to negate that and still be able to spot at 445 - as opposed to 430ish which would otherwise be the case (and in which case you are giving your enemy the massive advantage of spotting you first) Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with running vents over optics on most meds with good crew, but would definitely not be happy with 445.
If your goal is to outspot another moving tank while also on the move, this is valid, but the only situation where this is applicable is when pursuing a retreating tank or when retreating from a dead flank. And this situation only arises when both players know where each other are. And this is provided a sightline even exists at such long distances for outspotting to occur! Otherwise, in a 400 meter + engagement, the person who sits still or in a bush will outspot the other regardless of crew and equipment loadouts. An Object 140 with 434 view range and in any bush (providing at the very least 10% camo) will outspot a 492 viewrange Patton on the move by at least 35 meters.
its funny to say that you are statpadder and play 5-skill t62a, i mean if you get 3k-ish wn8 average on playing t10 mostly than you probably have to be pretty good at the game.. aren't those purple pzb2 drivers or that t5 t69 spammers statpadders and you know you put them in t10 and they don't even know they playing world of tanks anymore i'm pretty sure those are stat padders ? :D

Holycow you went through that mouse turret even when it was angled. Dont think I want to drive a mouse super slow and armor you can' t rely on.

A long time ago I try to grind to obj 140 but now I have obj 907 and I happy with it. (after huge buff in 9.17.1)

I play better in my 140 but have more fun in in the t62a... I average like 2.5 k damage in 140 and like 2.0 in my t62a. But I think I have more fun in the T62a because the turret is so badass, u bounce almost everything even tho on paper the 140 seems to have a better one. If u could do something like quickly baby and compare the 2 tanks turrets on that website he uses. I don't think people actually visually use that thing to compare the two in this very popular debate :) love your videos keep up the good work, the output of them had been crazy 👍🏽👍🏽

spam apcr, i just got the 121 and until you get the second and top gun ur useless. even when you get the second gun all the stats are worse than the t54 gun. hull down is the name of the game but mostly try to play around the mediums or heavies.

No, preventative maintenence helps against fires from engine hits, not against fuel tank fires.
The firefighting skill is still better.

I played the Russian med-line and really enjoyed it.. until I got on the T-54 and started to get only shit teams combined with not being able to deal with the bad gun depression. Weird thing is, that I don't struggle with it that much in my T-10, which I kept and love to play. Thanks for the nice vids with Russian meds. I learned some stuff and though I don't win much more, my gameplay has improved so at least I get more xp out of it.
I wonder why you did not take the 430 into the comparison =) I played it on Sandbox and I really enjoyed it.
430 is a seperate tank so I didnt feel it was worth it to compare, if youre going up the 430 line youll get the 430, its not a question of 430, 140 or 62a first when youre playing the t54, if that makes sense
I actually went the line headed to the A44 but it lets you get to the T-54. That way all 3 can be unlocked.

I dont Really have Problems with Module damage in my 140... ammo racks happen 1/5 games and fires happen 1/15 or so games ...907 is a bitch though its ammo rack and fuel tank are made from dust

I ground a shitload of credits in preparation for tier 10 LTs. Turn on credit boosters and cycle continuously through the premiums in which you have the most success. Anytime you die, exit immediately and jump into the next tank. Try to avoid shooting premium ammo if possible. It's amazing how fast credits accumulate with this approach. (With a 25% credit booster on I made 182K credits profit in a single 252U battle, which I think was a record for me.)

5 years of Wot and highest tank i have is tier 9 T54. I have exp and unlocked both mediums... problem is credits... i unlocked them but cant buy them... Impossible to have fun without premium in this game... I have almost 9k games at 2k wn8... but this days i just lose credits ar tier 9 without premium...
I have played this game for a year and a half, played 13k games, and have 2 tier9's and going up like 20 lines at the same time and don't have a premium account. I have loads of fun, and definitely after 9.18 patch. I still have 5m credits..
Don't waste premium shells, focus on playing like lemmingrush, more on location than on damage or xp or something like that. You'll win more, and get credits
even if I win at tier 9 and do 3-4k damage and die... I stil lose credits... so yeah.. if i want credits I need to farm tier 6's for 1000 games... No premium account is no joke... and playing low tiers to farm credits sucks all the fun out of the game... not to mention getting called stat padder all the time because I'm a 2k+ wn8 and rising guy playing tier 6's...
I don't know what to say. I filled up about 35 garage slots, and I'm still getting new tier5 and tier6 tanks. And even old tanks I still enjoy, hell my favourite of all time is the russian T-34. Just got a PzIII/IV which got mega buffed and it's awesome playing it. IDK, playing at the same tier is not playing the same tanks, so maybe expand to new lines?
And about tier9, yea it sucks, I also only make credits if I still live. But I got enough from playing other tanks.
Btw, haven't payed WG a penny, slots were all earned and don't have any premiums.

You know, I have been thinking about when I asked about swamp, and you kind of touch on that idea here, its just if you don't know where to go, go to where the action is, and then redirect as the game develops, and I think that is pretty much solid advice for even there, but at the same time, you seem to go to weak flanks a bit, and generally the mediums go north on swamp, so, is the south a strong play to assure they win and fast there, or should you spend time making sure your mediums stay alive?
I hate going to the very northwest corner, as it isolates you from the base TD support, but that seems to be where most go, I like to stay down toward the bottom at this point.
I have had some nice times coming back to WOT and getting 70% WR in my tier 7 Leo flat out dominating at times, and your content always gets me in the mindset to push myself to be better, so thanks for that, lemmi.

TheBurnAut Well ive never run out of ammo in my 140 and had quite a few games where ive spotted a waffle and been able to do 450 damage instead of 320 so you've got a chance of killing them if youre hull down

The Obj. 140 is pretty much the "standard" or "average" tank you get on tier 10. Nothing good or bad, ecept for the gun. I found people will give a fuck about his alphadamage when they have an autoloader or big hitting gun, trying to do good trades. Thats why i realy dont like it. Having good DPM only comes into play when you can flank or snipe them in safety. Otherwise i personally had much better experience when i drove my 121, or E 50 M. Noone wants to take a 440 shot. Thats why more people are scared of those. My playstyle is focusing on this fact :P

For the first Tier 10 its no bad choice. From there on later you can decide if you want an other gun or more armour for less mobility

I quit over 2 years ago and came back about 18 months later, only to find turds in the game ramming, shooting and pushing my tank. I stopped playing the first time because of all the carp WG did to the community, I left the last time because of that and the turds playing.

Well like, if you lose your driver, blow your med kit because you dont have jack of all trades and then lose your commander while youre trying to carry, youre sorta fucked..
I dont think its useful, the overwhelming majority of maps dont facilitate camo play
yeah but all tanks have some sort of moving camo rating, take my WZ-132-1 has 32% camo when moving, higher if i use food. Even if you have 445 view range youre not going to spot me until like 320ish meters WHILE MOVING. Meanwhile my t49 with binoculars set up has i think about 500 view range meaning it can spot basically every tank moving around except tier 10 scouts. Even regular mediums have 10%ish camo moving meaning you wont spot them moving until around 400 meters with 445 view range. but if you have above 445 you can outspot them a lot when moving.
If i had 445+ view range and you had a tank with 445 exactly with that means i can spot you and shoot at you at 445 meters without you spotting me. Cuz lights/ mediums have at least 3-5% camo when firing.
Also if you ever could, i recently played this game wotreplays.com/site/3536569, idk why the link is so weird something is wrong with WOT uploading currently. But i feel like that was the best i could do in that game. I did 5500 damage in a tier 10 LIGHT and still lost horribly. Was it because i didnt target that strv1030? I thought 4-5 of our team could handle it. I have a 29% win rate in the 132-1 and i pull at least 2500+ damage and 1000 spotting per game. If you could ever watch that and tell me what i did wrong or what im doing wrong in that tank to lose so often i would honestly appreciate it.
yea but you have to understand, how often are you ever more than 300 meters away from someone?
Maybe on like 5 maps you can do that and not be throwing?
All the important parts of maps, that need to be won if you want to have some sort of chance at winning revolve around 100 meter or closer engagements..
Games arent normally decided in 1 v 1s, its the 5v5s where people are close enough to touch eachother that normally result in the outcome of the game. And youre almost never able to impact those crucial fights by being 300+ meters behind your team mates

i get what youre saying but im pretty sure we come from two different playstyles because you like tanks like the russian mediums and the gameplay that goes along with that but as for top tier mediums i prefer the 30b with the best in class accuracy and high view range/ camo which lets me play vision games and then snipe unsuspecting people. Probably why the closest tank i have to a 3 mark is the borsig with 92%

No reason to go past 445.... completely disagree there. You definitely want at least 10-20 more, to at least burn through *some* of the enemy camo and still reaching 445 spotting cap.
If you are trying to spot someone with camo, you've already lost because regardless of the difference between your viewrange and the camper's viewrange, the camper is going to spot you first because he will have 40-70% camo whereas you will only have 20-30% at best while on the move. Unless you push your view range over 500, there is no way you are outspotting a camper who has only 400 view range.
I haven't said anything about campers or camo values in those ranges at all. Very few tanks achieve 40% camo when stationary, and far less 70%.
What I am talking about is your typical 1:1 scenario where you are trying to outspot a more or less comparable enemy to yourself. And since all tanks have some camo value still when moving, you want a little extra view range to negate that and still be able to spot at 445 - as opposed to 430ish which would otherwise be the case (and in which case you are giving your enemy the massive advantage of spotting you first)
Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with running vents over optics on most meds with good crew, but would definitely not be happy with 445.

If your goal is to outspot another moving tank while also on the move, this is valid, but the only situation where this is applicable is when pursuing a retreating tank or when retreating from a dead flank. And this situation only arises when both players know where each other are. And this is provided a sightline even exists at such long distances for outspotting to occur!
Otherwise, in a 400 meter + engagement, the person who sits still or in a bush will outspot the other regardless of crew and equipment loadouts. An Object 140 with 434 view range and in any bush (providing at the very least 10% camo) will outspot a 492 viewrange Patton on the move by at least 35 meters.
