Julia taught me the first time when these shows came via rabbit ears.
She taught me to cook again 20 years ago after I became an accomplished cook and lost most of my memory due to a high fever from sepsis.
Thanks Julie, I still watch and miss you.
She certainly is loved by so many people. Such a fascinating lady.
I loved to watch this as a kid.
ME TOO 💕
@@user-jz5kj5ld5p I did to but by that time, TFC was out of production and mainly saw it in the daytime before PBS aired children's shows all day.
When it first aired?!How old are you!
What an original character .
Uniquely irrepressible , Julia Child was formidable !
I really like the way she explains every step, taking her time to do so, unlike today’s culinary « shows ». The cooking times are right, no fuss, no « gold plated » kitchen tools. ♥️
I love watching this to you learn a lot from her she's a good cook
OOOOO , I think you can use this to make Homemade French Dip Sandwiches, too!!!! YUM!!!
this is the second time she has made French onion soup. Season 1 has an episode with this soup also :)
Yes, repeats from past seasons generally were not shown on NET (the forerunner of PBS) back then. So Julia sometimes did repeats of recipes.

I think the primary reason that she did this show was to teach basic knife skills in addition to making the soup. Also, the first season was not carried by many PBS affiliates so many people never would have seen it before.
I make home made onion dip. Make browned onions like this, then mix about 2 tablespoons of browned onions, 1 pack sour cream or creme fraiche, 1 pack holiday dip mix. Mix well and let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes. Simply divine
My go to recipe for years.
thank you, so much
fabulous cooking 🥘🥘🥘
OH THE GALAXIES OF THE GUARDIANS 👈🏿🌬️💐
JULIA 💐
A new Julia drinking game.. you have to take a shot every time she talks about cutting your hand off... ha ha
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
She’s got a second French onion soup video. Oh dear
Funny how that camera tilt's up and she's walking away from the oven.
If it went any high we would have seen the studio lights.
That’s the second time I’ve seen her burn something lol
I have a French Onion Soup recipe which I've been working on for three decades. It's now requested frequently. However, I can say this without dispute, FOS from a can is terrible...
You know what’s funny? I’ve known about her for 50 years but I never she was all American. I thought with her accent she was British.
Half of this episode was about knives and cutting.
Her last meal
I remember it being leek and potato soup.
Did she has lung issues? She always seems so out of breath. 😢
What gives with all these ads?? 😣😣😤😤😥😥😥😥👎👎
