Video Summary:
Apparent volume of distribution is a volume that is apparently there to contain all the drug in body at the same concentration as in the plasma. As per name itself it's an apparent volume, not a true volume of space where drug has spread. It's a helpful parameter to know how deep the drug is spreading in the body. Small apparent volume of distribution means the drug is spreading less and large volume of distribution means is spreading more deep in the body.

Pharmacology aside, it's physically impossible. We cannot substract volume from mass. It's so simple. Don't overthink. You will get it.
