Oh man, what a trip.
That was a really fun and interesting combination of topics. Thanks for sharing!
Really glad to hear it! Gotta say, as much as I love fountain pens, I struggle to believe the audience is one to two orders of magnitude bigger than the audience for the other random things I find interesting. Gotta be hard for the UA-cam algorithm to know who to show this to....
dang I gotta work on my collections of weird crap. I'm already The Cool Uncle but I bet I could step it up a few notches with some manmade gems
Ah that's what I like to hear! Thanks buddy :D
Just realised there was a 1cm cube cut from a stainless steel asteroid that was solid before the earth was. Literally the oldest solid you will ever see.... and I forgot to mention it!
Check at 9:39. The cube top right sitting on a 45⁰ angle is a meteorite older than the earth!
Where is Mercury? Why no Mercury? My favorite? Does Bismuth taste like wintergreen?
Mercury in sealed glass cubes just got restocked at Luciteria! It is definitely on my radar..... Also going to get a low pressure mercury vapor tube (plus chlorine and iodine too..... don't ask about fluorine!!!) to go with the other gaseous elements for the plasma glow tubes
Can't say I sample the elements for taste ... it's not the 1910s anymore lol!
@@WondersUnlocked pink bismuth does (in the bottle in the druggist shelf) 😹
I'll cover that up eventually...😶🌫️😵💫🤢
I see that natural instinct response often! It makes sense to be scared of things that could hurt you without you knowing it. That said, existing 50-80cm away from that rock doesn't expose you to a level of radiation above the natural background level.... If it's sitting in the middle of a table, open to the atmosphere, it has literally zero impact. Just don't eat it, snort it, or inject it!
@@WondersUnlocked or sit on it...
Not a fair comparison. You're comparing a $300.00 Lamy to cheap overseas clones. Why not purchase a genuine Pilot Vanishing point for a true comparison?
....I should have been clearer: the Lamy is a Chinese clone too lol
...that said, I will most likely do as you suggest before too long. My bank account isn't too happy with me at the moment, but it's just a matter of time!
