Another great tour, love how Dr Bloc explained controlling landscaping based on specific spaces. Mr Greg Hambali is still very much alive though he’s not rolling in his grave just yet 😀. Looking forward to more tours like this!
What a feast for the eyes! His collection of cycads, orchids, and bamboo are stunning! I love his energy too. Truly you can see how much he cares for each of his plant. Very inspiring-thank you, Summer for this wonderful presentation of his garden!
Beautiful Doc. Block just loves his Garden and speaks so passionately. What a privilege for you to be able to tour his gardens . He should host children's botanical hours . I would do anything to spend a day in his Gardens with him . Honestly, I would just pitch up a hammock and move in and never leave .
As a fellow "planty" physician, with a fellowship in Integrative Medicine, Dr. Block's garden is a personal goal. I'm likely too old myself to achieve the garden he has, but I'm sure going to try. Thanks for sharing your space, Doc, and thanks for doing such a wonderful video tour, Summer!
Physicians are trained "observers" looking for integrated signs of health vs. sickness. I'd bet that you're probably an excellent "custodian" of living things!
I really love when you make videos like this. You are so good at doing interviews. It would also be fun if you could visit private collection at peoples homes like you did before 🥰
big thanks to dr. block for allowing us to tour. loved seeing all the stuff i use to grow when i lived in south florida. the medinilla on the rock wall was awesome, we use to grow them right in the tops of big platyceriums. speaking of platyceriums the coronarium is outstanding! we use to grow dendrobium, oncidium and phalaenopsis orchids in a similar fashion covering the trunks of trees and they really are spectacular when they bloom. thanks summer for another great tour.
Thanks Michael! Plants such as that Medinilla that have naturalized to the environment as epiphytes need minimal care; and are some of my most satisfying specimens.
Ohhh my heart blows with so much beauty!!! Thank you for showing it to us💜 and to Dr Block to allow us to watch this piece of paradise he grown so wisely and carefully. 💜💜💜
Oh !!! what a beauty!!! I live in Miami and I have a small backyard and this video has been so inspirational!!!!Thank you Summer for your mission and vision! That's why I support your channel!!!
@@anthuriumaffairsWell , you are an e expert!! It’s a blessing this gardening 👩🌾 zone but for me it is also a work in progress and a learning experience! I don’t like when I make mistakes and my plants 🪴 suffer! 👋🏻
I love Doc Block, such a cool and interesting gentleman and wow Chad Husby turns up too! Love the old trees and all the epiphytes on them; amazing! Such an awesome collection, seeing all those houseplants outside growing like in nature. And cute cats! 💚
The Doc has his own beautiful botanical garden. So much eye candy! Thank you for sharing your knowledge of all these trees and plants. That is a very lucky cat living there! :)
I love this! When I lived in Miami, I had the most beautiful, thriving outdoor plants on my patio. My husband and I even managed to grow a mangrove from a propagule we found floating in the ocean. I miss that!
I am a professional horticulturist and landscape designer. I find this a truely magnificent garden one of the very best I have seen. Most of those plants can be found growing in Gardens here in Durban but no garden l know of can compare with it ❤❤❤.
This was a phenomenal tour. Dr. Block is so verse in his garden. I was so impressed with his knowledge and how he was able to explain things so well. I will be watching this one several times because it was that good!
Love this video! I'll be looking up a lot of these plants to see what I can grow. I'm 9b but very close to 10a in FL. Any plans on going to Central Florida? I'd love to see that. It would give me even more ideas for my yard.
Thanks Kiat! This is why I emphasized that Master Gardener mantra "The right plant in the right place." Glad it was your take-home message! If you're the same Kiat Tan I met ten years ago in Miami (and have a sister living here), then you've known about this wisdom from the masterful Singapore Gardens project.
Thank you for a great tour! The first 30 years of my life I lived in South Florida and I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't know many of these plants existed. Sure wish I would have taken more of an interest back in the day. Can't wait to see the second part of the tour.
It is nice to see the new additions for lovers of indoor and outdoor gardening. I especially enjoy seeing and learning about gardens all over the world. Thans UA-cam!
WOW! This was awesome to watch. What a treat to see plants (that we have in our homes and pay a lot of money for lol) growing outside and just thriving!
I'm glad you resumed these world tours to botanical gardens. These are the most beautiful videos you make. And I expect that you will continue to do more of this kind. Thanks! 😁
Love Doc Block’s gardens! Lived in SoFlo and grew many tropicals and palms! Central Fla has too many cold snaps to grow items like Lipstick Palms, which I love, etc. Thanks Summer for a fantastic tour!
I love your videos and especially enjoy that Aaron participates. I am amazed at your depth and wealth of knowledge on garden topics and related fields. Well done.
