    I just want to say thank you. I went and did this style exactly like you said and it turned out so well people APOLOGIZED TO ME WHEN LOOKING AT ME. 🤣😭 i wish i could share the pictures but. Thank you! 💖 it took FOUR HOURS but you helped my birthday come together!

      Yeah, my birthday is coming up my 58th and I SOOOO need my hair done it's no joke. I want my hair style to be a cut that allows me to style my hair in these styles. I've always gravitated towards these styles of the 40s and 50s women's hair styles. I just simply can't afford going to salons anymore. 😒😒😒😒😒

    ...just got a middy haircut today at a vintage salon, I don't think i'm ever gonna succeed with this style at home, but it was really fun to watch, gave me some hope that is doable...

    lol...I discovered Silhouette spray about 25yrs ago and swear by it. My hair being so silky soft(also it was thick back then) and it wouldn't hold any curl no matter how much products used, would end up straight as a board when I took the rollers out. This particular year I took my young kids to the local show(well silhouetted up) and went on the rides several times.....we still laugh about it to this day, as my style did not have one single hair out of place...even the next morning! 😲....amazing! Tresseme is as near to it as I can get in my town now. Loved the style today. Thanks. 😄

    Hello from Germany Mr. Davids 😉. Absolutely stunning yours Miss Dolly... she must be quite happy to have such a gentle and professional stylist, as well😉. Vintage styles are sooo wonderful, oh love them. They express the true beauty of a young lady.
    Had no clue that the Middy-style / cut is sooo easily to accomplish, saw the old drawings and discriptions, nothing beauty-school ever told us, so sad, but your explanation was very easy, thanks for that. Really enjoyed it.

    I really gravitate towards women's hair styles of the 40s and 50s. Just wish I was able to DIMYSELF for myself. I've never been good a parting up my hair. I've always had issues with that especially in the back of my head. I like this style and the Middy styles.

    Hi Magic Mike! Thanks for your wonderful videos. I style my hair retro basically every day and have grown up hearing that teasing is bad for the hair. Is this still a fact (if it ever were)? Love from Sweden.

    • @bouffantdelacroix
      @bouffantdelacroix  4 роки тому +2

      Hello Katja. Yes, teasing can be damaging on your hair, especially if it has been chemically treated. It is not so much the teasing, it is brushing it out. Lots and lots of conditioner. ❤️❤️❤️

    What haircut is best to start out with for this style?

  • @Timetravel1111
    @Timetravel1111 11 місяців тому

    PSA I just use the heat tamer spray. It says it’s a heat protectant up to 450° and I usually set my rollers but the this time I thought I would curl my hair with a con air blue 🔥 hell fire wand I’ve used it a dozen times but I never use the heat protectant. Apparently you have to read it and it says that you put it on and then let your hair dry FYI #Tresemmé ;( good thing it was only one section of my hair that I burned and fell out. It is really crappy packaging now black container with white writing you think would be legible, but they barely. Is it still better than some other products oh well

    • @bouffantdelacroix
      @bouffantdelacroix  4 роки тому +1

      Hello darling. For long hair, it is probably easier to use a conical curler. Your hair will hold the curl a lot better. You can get a great result as long as you have a strong curl

    Looks completely amazing and glamorous, BUT .... really f*cks your hair up with all that back combing and hairspray😏 so from my perspective has to be reserved for special occasions only😉 really good tutorial though.
