As for the 1v1s, content diversity is never bad and I think it's fine to take a break and prevent burnout after a losing streak. Just don't get discouraged, cause you are a good player 🙂👍
Your picks were definitely correct here in 4th. You have the easiest path to road and can hold it long term. Pointing to the 8-4 is probably best too, but my first instinct was to make the wood port active, so I probably would’ve pointed my road there. But otherwise I play this much the same way!
Active trading is crucial in 4p though. If you look at the orbit starting at 11:30 - when blue offers the wheat for sheep trade, if you counter that with a 2 wheat for 1 sheep trade, that likely goes through and you’ll have your city up much faster
