I thought they patched this area until I saw there was a huge pool of rads in the vid very helpful thank you. Also didn’t know I needed to server hop rip to 50 diluted radaway lol
Very helpful guide, ive been farming it for about 6 house now its driving me insane trying to get the right setup. And a bit of advice you can use radaway to try and snipe out the bad mutation you dont want. Better than restarting from zero (Edit) Don't waste your time guys it's not worth farming for 8 hours to get nothing. just get a decent mutation and call it a day
@@frosttheicelord1497 I think if you get let's say 4 mutations from this method, and you like 3 of them. Then you could a) go to the disinfecting shower to remove them all and start over, or b) Use radaway which has a chance of RANDOMLY removing any of your mutations. Kind of a roll of the dice, but if you luck out on radaway taking the bad mutation away then that's hella nice.
I have tried 14 times to get mutated but i cant get anything at all, and i dont have starched genes on when im doing it. maybe you cant do this after the new update?
I hope they didn't get rid of this... it's not even an exploit.. getting exposed to a massive amount of radiation is literally a way to cause mutations. Bethesda continues to disappoint me 😢
@@jayaywhy3039 Yeah, i tried a few times again tonight, but nothing, do i need to go out, and log on again everytime i try? coz after so many tryes it feels like im doing somthing wrong, or got somthing on me that prevents me from getting a mtation.
@@mockahilly for me I had to server hop every time I got mutated. Not after a failed attempt. It wouldn't surprise me if they got rid of this to push players to buy the serums... which is ridiculous in my opinion.

Very late and you probably already know by now but max out the Starched Genes perk in Luck, equip it to use radaway with no chance of losing your mutations and unequip it to continue gaining mutations
You can get more than one however am currently testing by doing the following: 1) Get mutation 2) Apply Starched genes 3) Clean radiation 4) Jump to a new server 5) Take starched genes off 6) Get new mutation Will update with results
lol what.. i've owned the game since launch, dropped it two days in as A LOT of people did, and only coming back now, no, i knew nothing of this.. you're talking shit mate, just because you know something doesn't mean the worlds clued in too.. most people are made to believe Radiation = bad, in life, in the game, everywhere, so why would anyone assume a mutation would be a good thing, if they even work out that rads cause mutations in the first place, just because something might be said to happen in the real world, doesn't mean they coded it into a game, and any mutation you'd get from real life radiation would be more akin to a child of incest parents than the borderline xmen shit we see in Fallout.

So you have to have Strched Genes unequipped to gain a Mutation?
Yes. It prevents you from gaining a new mutation and losing a mutation.

You have to jump servers, quit to menu and reload, you get only get one per hour on the same server
