LovingDemBooks Ah! Same! I don't want to read it though... seems terribly boring, and through a few things, spoilers! I just gave up and read a basic summery. Still seems very boring.
The Vampire Diaries is written by LJ Smith but it was written for a book packaging company (she didn't know this at the time, she was a naive writer. Those books where originally writing in like 1990) and they wanted to continue the series to milk it because of the TV show. The company wanted it to go a particular way and LJ didn't want it to go that way, so they fired her and got a ghost writer in. Now those books say created by LJ Smith. She now writes Fan fiction about her own creations to show the way she would have sent the story.
Courtnay Yeah a shame really I mean she is the " Mother " of this story THE CREATOR ... he same also happened to " The Secret circle" ... But also I guess after Vol.6 of TVD Books you notice right away that someone else is writing the book and it's awful ... Like first Elena falls in Love with Damon and then CUT no she only thinks of him as an brother and Damon is over Elena .. I mean cmon .. I do not keep on reading the series . P.S : The Company wanted an Stefan Elena Ending Obviously LJ Smith wanted an Delena ending so they fired her . At least we gt our Delena Ending in the TV Show .)
PuppyJJoong I've stopped reading them. I've gone to all the one LJ wrote and stopped. They should have been left alone after the first four in my opinion
Definitely agree with what you said about Percy Jackson but TMI?! That is such a great series! The incest thing is a little odd.... but a great series!
I KNEW IT WAS PERCY JACKSON WHEN SHE WAS TALKING TO THE OCEAN! Also you HAVE to read it it's the best. Series. Ever. (Well.... Actually a tie with maze runner)
Things you might need while reading the HoO and PJO series: -a gun -knife -tissues -blankets -pillows -ice cream -a therapist -a psychiatrist -and a map to find Rick Riordans address
Sasha YOU NEED TO READ HARRY POTTER NOW like forget all the other books on your tbr RIGHT NOW harry potter is just magical and it will change your perspective on life srsly im so shocked! Im feeling so sad for you bc you havent experiened it yet. I came into the room, when I was 4, and the 1st movie had just came out on DVD, I was getting my Dad something, and I came into the room, right when Voldy was drinking the unicorn blood. I sat down and watched the rest of the movie. That night he was reading the first book to me. I fell asleep at the Mirror of Erised. The next day I read the first two books, and then my childhood became consumed.
Book series I haven't read/finished 1. Harry Potter 2. The mortal instruments 3. The infernal devices 4. Game of thrones 5. Twilight 6. The Lunar Chronicles
Lunar chronicles! !!! Get on that winter is coming! !! (Omg I just made a game of thrones joke lmao but seriously winter as in the next book is coming out in November! !!)
TMI is so good but there are quite a few books in that series! You're lucky you didn't read TMI 2 years ago because now you don't have to wait for the last book to be released because it's now out!
abookutopia yeah but im at the end of TMI I cant read the last book because I guess I have to read TID first or ill spoil my self :( NEVER ENDING! !! #bookaddictproblems #struggleisreal!!
Cristal Buckner I actually own the first two books, I read the first one but wasn't amazed but decided to give the second one a chance. I have to get around to reading it.
I agree, I read till like the 5th/6th book I think, & man it's cuckoo crazy, I liked where they ended it with book 3, But then she revived the trilogy & pursued it further more & it just keeps down sliding & honestly nothing makes sense eventually.

You should give them a try :)
***** Last year I found out about the readathon on Raeleen's channel (padfootandprongs07), she was one of the hosts last year. There was a Twitter account @HarryXmasToYou
Hameedullah Ansari I personally enjoy readathons like this because we're all reading the same books, and can share things on Twitter/Tumblr, is like a read-a-long but you can read any book of the series you want to read. Also there's something special about knowing that all around the world there's people reading the same book series that you love , and in a way... experiencing it "with you" again, and if you're a first time reader, like me, you will have somebody to share your thoughts
Your clue to Pretty Little Liars is such a tease! I thought it was Every Day by David Leviathan. Speaking of which, have you read it? I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hasn't read the LOTR series and the GoT series! I seriously want to read them but there are so many other books I need to read *cries* (I haven't read Fangirl, Gone Girl, Eleanor and Park... Yep. I've got a whole world of books to read.)
I'd say definitely stay active on twitter and goodreads they are mostly announced there and via videos by searching readathon (or readalong) harry potter last year it was #HarryXmasToYou I hope that helps!!
The skits though hahahaha I got ALL of them (ok, I didn't get The Hobbit, but I got it when you said it's related to the previous series...) Good job! And I got the exact same opinions about The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars tv shows...
Taylor Morris Me too, I started the first one a few years ago and it took me forever to finish it since it was so similar to the movie. I dove into the books after the third one though because a lot of it wasn't in the movies due to the amount of pages in the books.
Harry Potter is the series I read so many times that I can't even remember, it means so much to me!! I read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings as a child, but I think I was too young to really appreciate it. That's why I also want to reread it :) I am currently reading book 8 of A Song of Ice and Fire (we have about 11 books in German translation :D) and I really enjoy the series! It is so diverse and the character development is great!
OMG I started last week pll book series and I liked it. It's different from the tv series, more detailed and each chapter is about one character at a time and so you are aloud to choose a fave and stuff like that. I really enjoy the series. I'm at the second book but I was traveling for Easter so I started on Outlander but I'm reading both of them at the same time, one on kindle- pll and outlander in phisical form :D LOVE YOU SASHA
I've never read the Percy Jackson series (well technically my fourth grade teacher read it to the class but I wasn't really listening XD) I plan to take a look at the series at some point though
In elementary school my teachers did, but now that I'm in middle school they don't do that. We're assigned books to read but that's a little different XD OH YEAH AND I'VE FINALLY STARTED THE LIGHTNING THEIF!
I love this video! I can't wait to see your other ones. I have not read ANY of the series you mentioned, except I am almost finished the Twilight saga. I'm the type who reads a book a few years after they're famous, so...
When I was in elementary school, I always read those books that nobody knew about, and never read the books that everybody was talking about. Like Harry Potter, divergent, or the hunger games. Instead, I read things like the mysterious Benedict society or other random middle grade books.
I'm a bookworm as well and in my opinion, you shouldn't read something because you 'feel left out' same way you shouldn't judge the movie fallen in your previous video lol.
L.J. Smith wrote The Vampire Diaries, the original series and the follow-up trilogy. But then she and her editor disagreed on what direction to take the series and L.J. Smith was, basically, fired from writing the series. Now it's ghost-written but the publishing company is still using her name on the books. In my opinion that is one of the most disrespectful things that can be done to a writer, taking away her rights to author a series just because she disagreed on where the plot should go. So, beyond the follow-up trilogy (which I plan to read soon) I have no desire to read the next two trilogies. (The Secret Circle was also taken from L.J. Smith and now those books are ghost-written too,)
+Jen Gambale I think it had to do something with the contracts. At least for sure with TVD. She didn't read the contracts well enough apparently. That is what it said on her website anyway. As far as I know Abbie's comment is correct.
This actually perfectly describes me too! I haven't read any of those series and I agree with the ones you say you won't be reading ever and your opinion on the TV shows as well :)
Omg I relate to this so much! I love to read and i've wanted to read all those seres for SO long, I actually own all of the books but i'm procrastinating for some reason. I hope you get to read all of the series! Good Luck!
Loved those little skits you did, made this video so fun to watch! :) I also never read percy jackson, lord of the rings, game of thrones. i think i read the first book of twilight. I did however read the first book of harry potter, but i'm currently rereading it because i couldn't fully remember it. I bought the first 4 books of the series :) .. and again, love your videos :)
***** i haven't read maze runner either or fault in our stars either ;) They sound good but I just haven't gotten around to them yet :) I'm caught up in embers of the ashes right now
Game of Thrones books are really good. Very easy to pick up and read a few pages and then before you know, three or four chapters go by. With LotR, you should totally add the Silmarillion to it, too.
It's crazy how I got almost all the books before u said the title out loud you should be an actress haha (That Game Of Thrines incarnation tho' . P E R F E C T I O N ) I also didn't read most of these "famous books for a reason or another" I read Twilight, 2 Harry Potters.. As for the rest nah! Both TVD and PLL are not on my TBR jar for years and years to come! Cause I content myself watching the show and because the ends are different (You are right TVD was amusing until season4 then nope nope nope. I only watch it for the sake if Ian's ocean eyes *sigh*. As for PLL I still enjoy the show it's true they piss me off sometimes but right now the show is intense !!) Very entertaining video! Keep it up !!
At least you have read the. H p since this book Hopefully u read the twilight sagas since this vid I want l to read game of thrones Percy Jackson want to read
I haven't read any of the ones you mentioned apart from Harry Potter, but in that I've only read up to The Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm currently trying to read the Percy Jackson series and I think you'll love it!!
Sasha, we are the same age and I only started the Harry Potter series last year and I still have the last 3 to read. I tried to read The sorcerers Stone when I was a kid but I couldn't get into it. I'm loving it now! So much better then the movies! I also haven't read Percy Jackson yet but own the first 3 books and will try to get to them this year.
SERIOUSLY YOU HAVEN'T READ HARRY POTTER???! I'M HAVING A HEART ATTACK RIGHT NOW I'M LIKE THE BIGGEST FAN I READ ALL BOOKS AND WATCHED ALL MOVIES MY MIND IS BLOWN OMG
Omg.......i thought i was the only one who haven't read Harry potter yet! *WHICH I REALLLY NEED TO GET THE BOOKS* im probably gonna get killed...but i have never read Divergant, Maze runner, Warriors, Paper towns, and The falt in our stars......(and thats just a tiny fraction of it XD) *BUT THERE ALL THE BOOKS THAT I REALLY SUPERDUPER WANT!!!! >.
Iris Leason Actshaily....i already finnished it last week..........i screamed and cried on Page 250....and the end.......LETS NOT TALK ABOUT PAGE 250......or else im gonna throw myself in some grivers or off the cliff
Yes, read The Percy Jackson series! I've owned the series for three years and I finally finished the series last week. So good and i highly recommend it! :)
I haven't read the last of the Divergent series... I think I need to though! Such a shame you didn't get to enjoy HP when they first came out, you'll still love it though when you get to read it : D
Books I haven't read/finished: 1. Game of Thrones (I'm VERY intimidated by this series o_o) 2. Percy Jackson series (I only have the last book left...ugh, but I forgot what happened...the struggle.) 3. Lord of the Rings/Hobbit (Also intimidated) 4. The Kingkiller Chronicles (I have the first book, and my GOD, I need to read it ASAP. It seems so freaking epic) 5. House of Night (read like 8 books...still haven't finished. Man, the authors need to know when to stop) Honestly, I used to love paranormal romance YA books, but I JUST can't deal anymore. I haven't found a really good book in this genre for a long time. Most of these books are stereotypical and cliche, with boring and egoistic male characters followed with goody two shoes female protagonists that have no brain. I've been reading more fantasy and contemporary recently and loving it. Maybe because I'm getting older, I don't know...Hope I'm not the only one who thinks this.
Don't be intimidated by the Game of Thrones series. They are long, but they are not difficult to read. Also, they are really, really gripping and well-written.
amipop1108 Don't let the size of GoT get to you. As others have said they suck you in immediately and the characters are so much more well written than in the show. As for paranormal romance YA, I didn't read any in the the genre since Twilight. Then my friend convinced me to read the Vampire Academy series and I absolutely loved it. The females are smart, fearless, and tough and the male love interests are sweet, understanding, and not at all shallow (well, Adrian a little at first but he really grows on you). The companion series, Bloodlines, is also really great.
Lin lmao Good taste, cause literally that was the book series I had in mind that I only really liked. I flew through those books so fast. And I still haven't finished the companion series. I read the first, but I feel like I have to read it again if I want to actually read the whole series.
This video made me so happy! -not happy that you have dyslexia, but that I'm not alone- I had severe dyslexia as a kid as well -still have it, but not as bad- and everyone was reading Harry Potter and I tried and failed so many times! I just started reading them and I just started on the third book! :D
PLEASE PLEASE please I implore you to read Harry Potter I know you mean to but those books are actually the most magnificent thing created by man (WOMAN WE're NOT ALL MEN) in the history of stories and life and laughter and whatever. I have a lot of feelings about this.
CatsRUs I haven't read the Harry Potter books properly and chronologically but I have watched the movies so it really ruins the whole reading process for me
I have a large TBR pile too~ I want to read all my Haruki Murakami books I have--which is... 5 of them so far--all the books in "The Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan, LOTR, re-read Eragon because I couldn't read the last book and need to re-read the first three to do that, all of the Alex Delaware books written by Johnathan Kellerman, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, Siddhartha, Uncle Tom's Cabin, and my collection of Sherlock Holmes just to name... a few (?) You'll highly enjoy Harry Potter! I assure you, especially if you love YA fantasy with witches and wizards and warlocks. Don't worry about Twilight though... I speed-read the entire series just to forget about the sparkling because that drove me nuts and the last one was a little... beyond weird for me in some ways.
the skits are great lol. also I agree with you about tvd and pll. I loved tvd so much when I started watching and marathoned the first 3 seasons in 1.5 weeks but I stopped somewhere in the middle of season 6 bc nothing exciting was really happening. For pll, I stopped somewhere in the middle of season 5. I want to get back into it tho bc I need to know who A is after 5 seasons of watching it and STILL not knowing anything about A
*Hangs head in shame* I bought the first TMi book on my kindle and I don't know why, but I never finished it. Will be reading Lady Midnight soon though!
Your book shelf is HEAVEN!!
IKR
When she said half- blood camp, the Percy Jackson fandom cringed so hard

Some of these skits made me laugh so hard, oh my goodness. xD And I *can't wait* for you to read Percy Jackson!! It's my all-time favorite series!
Definitely agree with what you said about Percy Jackson but TMI?! That is such a great series! The incest thing is a little odd.... but a great series!
LizzieLovesBooks I do recommend TMI, it's probably the best series I've read. Really depends on your taste in books though.
I didn't like tmi! But I don't like the author so that jaded it a bit. But I still didn't really like the characters at all or the story.
If you don't have any interest in TMI, try reading TID. It might help you start with TMI too.
LizzieLovesBooks how come you skipped the last three HP books? Those are the best ones.
I KNEW IT WAS PERCY JACKSON WHEN SHE WAS TALKING TO THE OCEAN! Also you HAVE to read it it's the best. Series. Ever. (Well.... Actually a tie with maze runner)
Also I'm wearing a homemade camp half blood shirt right now
Yeah, its on of the best series ever!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I KNOW RIGHT????
The maze runner is my favorite series
A song of ice and fire is better than percy jackson
the percy jackson series is amazing
Things you might need while reading the HoO and PJO series:

Vampire diaries isn't worth reading really
The tv show is better but I can't judge since I've only read the first book
I liked the book series more than the show THE BOOKS WERE ADDICTING
I agree, I read till like the 5th/6th book I think, & man it's cuckoo crazy, I liked where they ended it with book 3, But then she revived the trilogy & pursued it further more & it just keeps down sliding & honestly nothing makes sense eventually.

Oh yes!!
I'm fairly new to the whole read a thon scene and really want to join! How do I find out about upcoming one?

I hope that helps!!
If i hear of any I'll let you know!! :D
Sasha, I think we need to have a Harry Potter intervention for you.
I haven't read twilight either and I never will haha
Neither have I! I felt like the only person who's teenage years weren't affected by the twilight saga.
I'm on eclipses
The skits though hahahaha
I got ALL of them (ok, I didn't get The Hobbit, but I got it when you said it's related to the previous series...) Good job!
And I got the exact same opinions about The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars tv shows...
my first reason for reading Percy Jackson was because of Nico and all then when I started reading it I began loving it so much
I hadn't read all of Harry potter until this year and I've considered myself a fan of it for years. It'll change your life once you've finished them
Taylor Morris Me too, I started the first one a few years ago and it took me forever to finish it since it was so similar to the movie. I dove into the books after the third one though because a lot of it wasn't in the movies due to the amount of pages in the books.
I havent read LOTR yet either!! Dont worry your not alone there
You totally should! It's amazing!
Allyson King i will!! Its on my tbr i just havent gotten to it yet but i LOVED the hobbit so im rly looking forward to them
You are not really missing that much with the Twilight series...
True... I only thought it was good bc it was basically the first supernatural romance I read... now I don't feel like reading it at all.
Hahaha that's what I was gonna say !
Harry Potter is the series I read so many times that I can't even remember, it means so much to me!! I read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings as a child, but I think I was too young to really appreciate it. Zoes StopmotionStudios ur teacher reads books to u?! Ur SOOOOOOO lucky
In elementary school my teachers did, but now that I'm in middle school they don't do that. We're assigned books to read but that's a little different XD
OH YEAH AND I'VE FINALLY STARTED THE LIGHTNING THEIF!
i'm with you on the vampire diaries, sasha. I tried reading it, but it wasn't my type of book. love your videos!
I saw the Throne of Glass/A Court of Thorns and Roses books behind you and couldn't pay attention all video... Sarah J. Maas is an amazing author!!
I actually wanted to cry when she said she hadn't read Harry Potter.
Put Harry Potter at the top of your TBR! You aren't missing much with Twilight but Harry Potter is absolutely amazing!
i haven't read harry potter i'm so happy i'm not alone.
Omg I relate to this so much! I love to read and i've wanted to read all those seres for SO long, I actually own all of the books but i'm procrastinating for some reason. I hope you get to read all of the series! Good Luck!
Oh thank goodness! I thought I was the only person in this world that hasn't read ANY of those books you mentioned. Now I feel human again. Thank you!
The skit you made for Daenerys was hilarious 😂😂
OH MY GODS the one for Percy Jackson was GOLD!
The funny thing is is when I was editing the video I noticed I forgot to do a GoT skit so I had to do it quickly : this equals what you saw 😂

I did however read the first book of harry potter, but i'm currently rereading it because i couldn't fully remember it. I bought the first 4 books of the series :) .. and again, love your videos :)

ME NEITHER! XD
Omg!! 😱😱 you definitely miss the most essential thing in life 😱😱😉
Harry Potter is my life tbh. I have slayed the books
Twilight imitation 😂😂😂😂
haha perfect♡
Game of Thrones books are really good. Very easy to pick up and read a few pages and then before you know, three or four chapters go by. With LotR, you should totally add the Silmarillion to it, too.
It's crazy how I got almost all the books before u said the title out loud you should be an actress haha (That Game Of Thrines incarnation tho' . P E R F E C T I O N )
I also didn't read most of these "famous books for a reason or another" I read Twilight, 2 Harry Potters..
As for PLL I still enjoy the show it's true they piss me off sometimes but right now the show is intense !!)
Very entertaining video! Keep it up !!
So... I'm not the only one who didn't read Harry Potter...? OMG
At least you have read the. H p since this book
Hopefully u read the twilight sagas since this vid
I want l to read game of thrones

You look very pretty in this video
I haven't read any of the ones you mentioned apart from Harry Potter, but in that I've only read up to The Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm currently trying to read the Percy Jackson series and I think you'll love it!!
Sasha, we are the same age and I only started the Harry Potter series last year and I still have the last 3 to read. I tried to read The sorcerers Stone when I was a kid but I couldn't get into it. I'm loving it now! So much better then the movies! I also haven't read Percy Jackson yet but own the first 3 books and will try to get to them this year.
I enjoyed season 5 of Pretty Little Liars much more than #1-4, so give it time. :)
Melanie C. Was it because of Alison?

Yes, read The Percy Jackson series! I've owned the series for three years and I finally finished the series last week. So good and i highly recommend it! :)
I haven't read the last of the Divergent series... I think I need to though!
Such a shame you didn't get to enjoy HP when they first came out, you'll still love it though when you get to read it : D
Oh I feel so
Much better that I haven't read Harry Potter yet either !
Books I haven't read/finished:
1. Game of Thrones (I'm VERY intimidated by this series o_o)
2. Percy Jackson series (I only have the last book left...ugh, but I forgot what happened...the struggle.)
3. Lord of the Rings/Hobbit (Also intimidated)
4. The Kingkiller Chronicles (I have the first book, and my GOD, I need to read it ASAP. It seems so freaking epic)
5. House of Night (read like 8 books...still haven't finished. Man, the authors need to know when to stop)
Honestly, I used to love paranormal romance YA books, but I JUST can't deal anymore. I haven't found a really good book in this genre for a long time. Most of these books are stereotypical and cliche, with boring and egoistic male characters followed with goody two shoes female protagonists that have no brain. I've been reading more fantasy and contemporary recently and loving it. Maybe because I'm getting older, I don't know...Hope I'm not the only one who thinks this.
game of thrones is epic! When I finished all five books, I actually wished they were longer as I loved the story so much!
Don't be intimidated by the Game of Thrones series. They are long, but they are not difficult to read. Also, they are really, really gripping and well-written.
I'm on season 3, so maybe after I catch up a little more, than I'll start reading :D
amipop1108 Don't let the size of GoT get to you.
Percy Jackson is awesome. Heroes of Olympus is awesome. Blood of Olympus is not
Ho Chia-I Lester pafafxtibosifysad6h8k0ktq4
I call that book the suck of Olympus because it was such a lackluster conclusion
Blood of Olympus was good! But it was so saddddddd
This video made me so happy! -not happy that you have dyslexia, but that I'm not alone- I had severe dyslexia as a kid as well -still have it, but not as bad- and everyone was reading Harry Potter and I tried and failed so many times! I just started reading them and I just started on the third book! :D
The LIPSTICK!!! my god i NEED to know the name and the shade!!! I'm obsessed!!! pls)))
I always fall asleep by the 2nd page of Twilight.
I have not read Harry Potter either..
Help.
YOU HAVE NOT LIVED
Dude I thought I was alone! I'm plannong on reading it tho.
5 of them so far--all the books in "The Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan, LOTR, re-read Eragon because I couldn't read the last book and need to re-read the first three to do that, all of the Alex Delaware books written by Johnathan Kellerman, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, Siddhartha, Uncle Tom's Cabin, and my collection of Sherlock Holmes just to name... a few (?)
You'll highly enjoy Harry Potter! I assure you, especially if you love YA fantasy with witches and wizards and warlocks. Don't worry about Twilight though... I speed-read the entire series just to forget about the sparkling because that drove me nuts and the last one was a little... beyond weird for me in some ways.
I haven't read any of these book series or watched their movies/TV series either to be completely honest. So, you're not alone. ☺
But you did read the Twilight series before you interviewed Stephenie Meyer right? (God I hope you did)
What's program are you use to edit your video?
Martha Oakiss [Secret-Books] And what light?
Martha Oakiss [Secret-Books] I'm also curious!
I'm fairly sure she uses Final Cut Pro 10
Final Cut Pro!
Oh and just a box light!
*silently waits for warrior cats*
+brookyn bailey Warriors is more for elementary and middle school aged people.
+Carrie LOVES Music Agreed.
me too
+Carrie LOVES Music nah not elementary cause it has a lot of violence and gore ;-; but I'm in high school and I love them
+Carrie LOVES Music so is Percy jackson
I started reading HP 3-5 months ago and I just ordered the 6th book. It's so amazing!!!
the skits are great lol. also I agree with you about tvd and pll. I loved tvd so much when I started watching and marathoned the first 3 seasons in 1.5 weeks but I stopped somewhere in the middle of season 6 bc nothing exciting was really happening. For pll, I stopped somewhere in the middle of season 5. I want to get back into it tho bc I need to know who A is after 5 seasons of watching it and STILL not knowing anything about A
Have you read the Warrior cat series?
Sparkle000h AJ that series was life in 4th grade times have changed now my books have couple's usually making out on the cover
The vampire diaries books suck. The first one I liked but they go downhill from there. The show is much better.
The first 4 are ok, after that L. J. Smith and her ghost writer went crazy
Harry Potter? REALLY?😱
I love the idea of creating a book club!
Lets do it!!! :D
You're Fab♥
*Hangs head in shame* I bought the first TMi book on my kindle and I don't know why, but I never finished it. Will be reading Lady Midnight soon though!
