    I hope your school is getting back to "normal" during this horrible time of pandemic. I'm busy to work out a Sweet and Sour chicken dish with pineapple but without the lot of deep frying... In short, chicken fillets cut in cubes, cooked in water or stock for a few minutes then only "wok" with the sweet and sour souse and some peppers. Meaning, cutting out the eggs, corn flower deep fry oil etc. Maybe just as tasty, more healthy and looking good.

    I have cooked this dish several times and it always turns out great.
    My eldest daughter turned vegetarian and I thought we would not be able to enjoy this dish again, but I did half chicken and half Quorn pieces (in two separate woks) and it worked extremely well. Worth the extra washing up.

    Surely gonna try this one. Great idea, using the skin and core of the pineapple!

    I really like fresh pineapple and being Australia we grow great pineapples but fresh really irritates my mouth and tongue, I’m guessing it’s the acid in the fruit so I generally avoid it but I really enjoy tinned/canned pineapple as it doesn’t irritate my throat at all. Do you know what the difference is?

    Lee and Jeremy, if you can throw the pineapple on the barbecue and get some smoky flavor, that really adds to the complexity of the dish. It is nice to have some pineapple like that on hand if you have the means to do it.

    • @etherdog
      @etherdog 4 роки тому +1

      Yes you can, and a coffee filter is a good idea to use. The order of use should be veg, meat, fish and if you do't overheat the oil it could be used 5 times, so 2 veg then 2 meat, then 1 fish. Or all 5 of the same thing.

I had three people watching this video together and every single person couldn't continue. Use a gimbal!!

      Don't worry, we're going to be using a tripod for the close-up camera. It's a big heavy camera without a shoulder mount, so a gimbal won't work.
