The way in which all Narrow Gauge routes are being closed in this country makes me feel sad. Closure is easy but what about Broad Gauge conversion. It will take years. Budgetary Allocations will have to be made. Hats off to all those Engineers, Contractors, Technical staff and Labourers wo must have toiled day and night for laying these NG Tracks 100 Years ago. Some route will preserve as heritage sites like in my district Rajsamand there is a meter gauge line which passes through gorum ghat, government announced project for BG conversion but they preserve 30 km strach of ghat sections as heritage site and make another line to connect upcoming stations

Me too am very sad that i miss travelling once more in the NG. Coz the only time i ever got to travel in a NG was in the Nagpur Jabalpur passenger in 2014. Departure from Nagpur at 14:45 arriving at jabalpur next morning at 08:30. One coach was sleeper reserved. A overnight sleeper journey of almost 18 hrs. The train had a loco reversal at chindwara jn, where we ventured out the railway station to buy dinner. One fantastic ride memory that will remain etched in my mind forever.

Asalam o Alaikum. Very sad to see that rich Indian Railways has shutdown the Narrow Guage routes, by following foot sreps of Pakistan Railways. I remembered that day ( 14th April, 1990) of my first teavelling on Narrow Gauge Teain running from Bunnu (KPK) to Mari Indus Railway Stations; and that was the last day of this train as you showed in your video. when I get this video I recalled the same feelings as the people of Rajasthan feel. I with my two colleagues Professors traveled from Isa khel ( Mianwali district) to Trag Railways station. After that day the teack became deserted. 😢 And politician Nawaz sharif and family desmental the whole this Railways track and goods biggies took away to his steel Mill. This track was made hy GB Government in 1913: and dismantled in 1996. Only deserted buildings are present in monster conditions.
I fail to understand why are the railway authority shutting down this narrow gauge train? Instead make this train more powerful and upgrade. These memories are the golden spoon.

This obsession with 100% broad gauge seems absurd. With main lines, thats fine. Such small village lines don't need to be broad gauge. @@RavindraVermaVlogs Thank you for making this video. At least, because of you, this train got a final swansong. It is sad to see Indian Railways act very similarly to the British Rail of the 1960s. BR was dieselising thoughtlessly and cutting down branch lines everywhere. It even scrapped steam engines which were almost newly built in favour of Diesels (most were nor even of a reliable design). Thankfully, a few people were able to save some heritage lines and locomotives there. Our people need to do the same for preserving the heritage of IR.
