I watch too many book recommendations videos but I haven't read a single book in this month. I don't even know what am I doing with my life anymore :')
I've been watching book recommendations for 3 days now and I've been taking mental notes but now I've completely forgotten them and I'm just watching the videos again.
Never been this early. But hailey could you do a video of all the books on your shelves that you haven’t read, it’d make me feel better about all my unread books ( while I continue to buy more 💀)
Can always count on Hailey to provide a moment of happiness. Thank you! I love the yellow sunshine vibes of this! Ugh she’s just the most beautiful. I love her. She always makes me want to read every book she mentions even if it’s not a trope/plot/genre I’d particularly like haha Hailey mentioned it imma buy it😬 hope you’re having a wonderful day. Possible video idea for the future, I really enjoy when people match up albums and books or movies/ tv shows and books? Hope moving is going okay and you’re taking care and Charlie and your family are all well xx
I visited a Japanese Internment Camp called Heart Mountain in Wyoming. There, I met a WWII veteran named Bill. He said it like it was: this was nothing more than a concentration camp. Listening to his story and his thoughts on something I didn't even know happened here in the US absolutely changed the way I think. Something I will never forget.
Great list! Almost all the books on that list I've either read or have on my TBR. I would say Letters to the Lost is a book everyone should read. It's probably my favorite YA contemporary
Hailey I don't tend to like contemporary Ya or historical fiction books but I love your channel, your personality and the way you talk about a books that you love 💕
Dropping by to say her reccs are the best AND YOU MUST ALWAYS LISTEN TO HER. I read I Love You So Mochi as she recommended in her previous videos and oh boy did I love it! Thank you Hailey!!! 🥺❤
Love your recs. Put a few on my TBR, especially those historical fiction. Can you do a video with your favorite fairy tale retellings? Would love to know your favs.
It’s weird how I can’t wait to read a book but somehow never get around to it! One of them is Felix Ever After! You’ve inspired me to read it now. Great video. I sincerely appreciate your channel. FYI before I became a fan of your channel I noted you listed the books mentioned in the description box. That hooked me as I am not always in a position to write things down. I know that’s extra work but thank you. Good Luck on your move! ☮️
Okay! More books in my TBR list then. I just love how your passion shows on your face when you talk about books. Would you mind doing author wise recommendation videos? Like your favorite authors for contemporary, favorite authors for Historical fiction, favorite authors for fantasy etc etc.
I sometimes question myself and ask that “five books that I can’t live without” and I almost faint at answering the question lmao cause it’s very difficult 😂😅😅
Each book teaches you something, which allows you to view other books in a different light. But there are definitely five books that had the biggest impact on me.
@@ohohnenyeoo2654 Hm. I'd say The Sun is Also a Star because it proves that a book doesn't need a happy ending to be fulfilling, and that you never know what someone is going through. Fairest by Marissa Meyer because it shows how villains become who they are and how they justify the horrible things they do, The Giver because it shows that no matter how perfect people try to make life there will always be something lacking. I've definitely not read all the most impactful books in my life yet, and this list will definitely be different in a few years, maybe even in a year.
@@ohohnenyeoo2654 Yep, it's a great book. I liked the other three books in the series as well, although they aren't as 'deep' as the first one, just good stories.
I haven't read The Fountains of Silence yet, but my dad did. He was a bit unsure about reading it at first (we're Spanish, and his parents lived during the Civil War, he was actually born during the Post-War years), but he loved it! And now I'm very excited about picking it up too!
You should definitely watch the Turkish series endless Love, you'll love it. It is also the winner of Emmy best telenovela. I just loved that series 😍🙌
They Went Left messed me up man. I read it at the beginning of the year and I still think about it. It broke me. I just finished Girl In the Blue Coat and loved it. I might read The War Outside here pretty soon. I think Monica Hesse has become a new favorite of mine!
I recently bought The Fountains of Silence! I'm really looking forward on reading it :> and am currently having They Went Left in my wishlist. Wishing for it to be on stocks until next month haha
I’m currently reading Raybearer and it’s really really good!! I also really want to read they went left by Monica Hesse and Fountains on Silence by Ruta Sepetys!! I have read some of these and I loved those! Like always, love ur vids Hailey!!
Such good recommendations, I want to read Felix Ever After so badly 🥰 and fountains of silence is one of my fav books, strongly recommend. 💜Love this video
The Fountains of Silence is a great book! Highly recommend for historical fiction that doesn’t shy away from the toughest and most brutal parts of history.
Hey hailey...I read "take me home tonight" by Morgan matson ... It's soo nice .I love it. Thanks for recommending..... And I love the cover I recommend people to read that book
I really liked You Should See Me In A Crown! Recently read The Opposite of Always - I expected a much more emotional story, so I was a little let down. I'm currently about 100 pages into Today Tonight Tomorrow. Felix Ever After was great too!
I completely agree with Tiny Pretty Things! I would listen to it as motivation at the gym and when I was stretching. Have you read the second one?? It is also crazy good!
Carlos Ruiz Zafón is another great author to read, he is from Barcelona and he has a historical fiction series that spans the first half of the 20th century; the last book takes place around the same time as Fountains of Silence and covers almost the exact same topic
I loved Slay and actually just pitched it to a friend to read. I think the author did an amazing job of telling the lived experience of black gamers and how the need for safe spaces need to exist without trying to make it a major point of the book. She flows important aspects Of race into the book beautifully. I am currently reading her new book “The Cost of Knowing” and it has the same amazing writing!
When people are trans their dead name is the name on their birth certificate. Because trans people change their names, they don't want people saying their other name. (Their other name is the name on their birth certificate) if that makes sense.
Like your videos but you need to hold the book more still,,, making me dizzy all the moving you do with the book in hand..cant catch the title of it if we missed the intro of it….hold it still! Geesh

Something to look forward to!! 😂

defintely she should do that. I hate to have so many unread books filling so much space in my room
All my books are packed right now but I did a video like that in January! I can do an update once they’re not in boxes 😅

Hey hailey! I miss bookmarked sooo much. You three are adorable together.. with zoë almost missing it would be so good if you collab
Why did they stop doing it??
@SlothyyReads
Agree dude.. that show was really a great distraction ❤
@@Yoongistangerinedealer
No idea sis.. they didn't even as much as mention why they are stopping..
Besides it's been a while since they have acknowledged each other's presence so🤕
Im pretty sure Zoe is focusing on school

I'm happy to see that a lot of these were already on my tbr.
Felix Ever After is one of my all time favs and seeing you so hyped about it in this video makes me want to pick it up and reread it right now
Hailey I don't tend to like contemporary Ya or historical fiction books but I love your channel, your personality and the way you talk about a books that you love 💕
I think everyone needs to read The brilliant life of Eudora Honeysett. It's a great read.
