What needed to happen was that Boogeyman, upon seeing that one of the boys was in his way (ie: not a mark that would sue), should have just shoved him aside. Cornette had a run in with Santino recently at a fan convention. Needless to say.... words were exchanged. A real shooter (fighter) doesn't have to brag about it. Fake overconfidence is loud and feels the need to brag about it. Real confidence is quiet and doesn't feel the need to brag or prove itself.
@@pappagamingpoo9766 Well, that's part of the job when you're a professional, televised fighter in the public eye. You're expected to be loud, boisterous, boastful and trash talk for marketing purposes to build up hype for a fight, to increase pay per view and ticket sales, etc. I bet in his own private home life with family and friends he doesn't feel the need to constantly brag about how tough he is. Jim here is talking about how guys were backstage or in the locker room to other guys when the cameras weren't rolling and the crowds weren't watching. If you're still trying to constantly brag how "tough" you are in those situations, you're probably a poser who is overcompensating. Real tough guys know their actions can speak for themselves.
@@DeathBringer769 I agree with you that 99% tough guys have no need to brag about them selfs but there is always going to be that exception to the rule.

I absolutely love Jim Cornett. Guys love for the business. Guy has worked with all the greats. If him and Jim Ross was at WWE it would be 100 times better

Or Sabu. He beat the dogshit out of a fan because his turban got snatched off. Imagine what he would have done if some jabroni in the amateur class tried to make an ass of him?
I do think Santino is a talented entertainer, and just because he's a comedy wrestler doesn't mean it doesn't work for the audience. They don't ALL have to be stoic stone faced badasses. It'd be boring as hell if that were the case. Doesn't excuse the snotty ass behavior from Santino, because he did fuck up with the Boogeyman situation.
But Santino wasn't entertaining. R-Truth is a comedy guy(unfortunately because he is a former NWA champ and much too good for that) and is good in the ring. Santino wasn't entertaining as comedy or in the ring
I liked Santino. But I also like Cornette. I just don't take wrestling even 1/1 millionth as seriously as Cornette does. I can understand why he does since he dedicated his life to it. To me it's just a goof business that's decent for entertainment at times. Even today when I listen to the Cornette shows I never listen to anything about the actual wrestling itself. I just listen to the ones about all the behind the scenes stuff to the wrestling.
Marella is like lauranitous' real life Jesus. He took a coronette slap for lauranitous' sins. Lauranitous should thank you everyday for not having to be slapped by the mighty jim
I never thought about it before, but it would make sense that you should have automatic ways to behave around wrestlers in public. So just the idea that you would run away was completely new to me, but it makes sense once you think about it. Obviously someone like Marella should have known this already if he was in training.
Vito Andolini from Corleone except Eugene was never championship material. The only championship he won I think is the world tag team championship I'm not sure. Someone shed some light on that.
Eugene was absolutely amazing in his gimmick and in his actual skill set, he was over as hell and could wrestle an amazing match with anybody. Eugene could have legitimately carried any title they wanted to put on him if they handled the story correctly. Imagine how over an underdog story would have been that culminated in Eugene winning the world title would have been with Regal in his corner.
Cornette is a natural story teller, a funny guy and knows the history of the business. And has respect for wrestling and for those who respect it. Which is why he has no time for Santino
“So I shit myself” 😂 said in the most nonchalant tone. I can imagine Cornette standing in the OVW locker room, angry, with his hands on his hips and pants full of shit
Here’s my take on the incident; I’m a professional wrestler, and I’ve been on all sides of this thing for almost seven years. Back in late 2011, I was still just a fan going to free shows for this promotion called the IWA. They also had me in control of running media, as well as video record the matches. I wanted to be a wrestler, so I went to train with them one Thursday. Not long after my training, I got in the ring during a show, and I was demonstrating my spin kicks and kip ups. I had fucked up and bumped in front of a few marks during intermission, and one of the boys yelled at me for it. I quickly apologized, and left the ring. I was scolded by one of the wrestlers that trained me, and he told me he was going to best my ass for real if I did that again. I told him I was sorry, and I agreed not to do it again. Months later, one of the show’s producers asked me to show them what a kip up was (which is what Shawn Michaels did all the time), so I got in the ring and did two of then. I left the ring shortly after, and continued on to record for their internet taping. As soon as the show was done, the trainer I mentioned earlier asked to talk to me, so he pulled me to the side. As soon as he did, he started yelling about me being in the ring. As soon as he did, he slapped me in the face. I was stunned, because I didn’t realize I had done anything wrong. I’m not a worker at this time, so I was still green on the business. I was trying to apologize to the man, who had just assaulted me, but he wasn’t having it. He kept saying hat what I did was disrespectful, he’s a black belt in different martial arts, and that he’ll injure and stretch me if I clever got in “his” ring again. Then, he threatened to break my producer’s laptop, because he thought it recorded the incident. Ever since that incident, I quit going to the shows. Fast forward to January of 2016. I started training with the very same company, which shortly after became the PWA. The guy who trained me wasn’t with the company anymore, but I became a worker under the name you see now. I finally learned 100 more things I wasn’t taught before, and I made sure not to step on any toes. However, after I adopted the El Caliente gimmick and became a referee, I softened myself up as Steven Rainmaker. I was made of glass, deaf/blind/dumb, and timid if the big macho wrestlers if they got in my face. Without being told, when heels threaten me in the ring as a ref, I would coward. Also, if they hit me, I would “go unconscious.” When I wrestled in Newark, Ohio, I had apparently fucked something up. I celebrated after I had lost my match, and I had my ass chewed out by several wrestlers. I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to do that, but that wasn’t an excuse. If I got slapped in the face for it, I wouldn’t have taken it personal. Hell, even when the trainer from 2011 slapped me, he told me not to take it personal. To this day, I’m not shook about it, and neither should have Santino. Do I think Jim went overboard and slap him? Not really, but I think Santino going to the HR people like that was a bitch thing to do, because this is professional wrestling. You pay your dues like everyone else, and don’t cry when things go bad. I’ve had my downs since being a wrestler, but I’m still a wrestler when it’s all said and done with. I take wrestling seriously, and I don’t get butt hurt when things go bad. My closing statement; no, Cornette shouldn’t have slapped him. However, Marella should have talked it out with him after Cornette cooled down.
Jevon Walcott yeah, you probably haven't heard of me because I'm small-time. I've only been wrestling for two years, and it's for a small company based in Lancaster, Ohio. I'm not surprised if my name isn't out there. Also, you insinuate that I'm a push over that lets people walk all over me? How? I'm not mad about your comment, but just a little confused. If you're talking about 2011; I might sound like a pussy for saying thus, but I wasn't about to fight someone with a martial arts background. After he hit me, I learned kick boxing and BJJ around the summer of 2012. I'm not a black belt badass, but I can hold my own in a fist fight. If you're also talking about my promoter and one other guy chewing me out for celebrating after a loss, well then I hope guys like you don't try out for professional wrestling. Not trying to insult you, kind of like you did me, but people with attitudes like yours don't make it. I listen to criticism and use it to learn from my flaws. I'm not a pushover, like you say i am. I just need clarification on your comment.
Well, you say Santino should have "talked" things out with Cornette after he , in his own words, slapped him over 10 times. Just as a man, where is your pride? How could you even think about saying that? And if Santino had taken your advice, where would he be today? He stood up for himself, and you did not. The difference in the two careers is clear. If you knew which kind of people "make it in the business", you would have made it yourself. I'm not trying to insult you, but you're criticizing someone that was magnitudes more successful in the business than you were. Maybe you should learn from him instead.
@Joseph thank you, and @jevon I’m sorry, I thought I replied to this, but I guess not. I agree that Santino definitely has had a bigger career in the business than I did, but that’s because he was a part of OVW and I was with a small-time promotion. I’m not even gonna bullshit anyone, but I didn’t try hard enough and I got kind of somewhere in my short career. Had I applied myself harder and traveled, I could’ve made a lot of money, but I didn’t and I got as far as I did. If I absolutely wanted to, I could go bigger in the wrestling industry, but I just simply don’t want to right now. Santino is clearly a rich man, but look at the stupid gimmick they gave him in the end. He only liked the gimmick they gave him, because it made him a rich man. He wanted to be a shooter bad ass wrestler, but he got stuck with the goofy shit instead. I’m still not saying Cornette was right for what he did, but he definitely has been in the same shoes as Santino before. He’s stated numerous times that he’s been hit and slapped by wrestlers twice his strength and brutality, but Jim has stood up to guys like Lesnar. Santino didn’t even stand up to Cornette until twelve years later, so as a man... how could Santino go back and try to squash an old beef? I told The Whole F’N Show this, and I’ll tell you as well. If he wanted to make things right, then Santino should’ve done it twelve years before this and not when Cornette was trying to get to his booth. Cornette naturally didn’t want to converse with the man that got him fired, and neither would I honestly. Also, I’ve been asked by my promoter to do silly gimmicks because I can do funny voices, but I downright refused to be a silly wrestler. I’ve been pitched; hillbilly, giant man-baby, boy band star, and puppeteer, but I turned them all down to be who I became. I could’ve sworn I’ve said this before, but I guess my comment got deleted or something. Also, going back to the pushover comment; don’t you think Marella was a pushover to take the stupid gimmick? Again, I’ll acknowledge that it got in paid, but he’ll never be taken seriously again. There are far more talents out there than him, and they didn’t do the stupid gimmick. Look at Taker, for example. The guy never went silly, and he’s one of the richest wrestlers in the business. Santino might have a lot of money, but he’s look at as a joke.
Jim is wrestling’s greatest storyteller. I could listen to him for hours

Whereas if boogey dealt with it, I doubt santino wldve complained. And even if he did complain, he'd come face to face with Jim. And then what happened would happen again, but santino would have been seen as the stooge he is if he kept escalating.
I wonder how.santino would feel if he got buried the way he buried boogey with santinos bullish.
“Give him some room! He’s dangerous!” & then Jim shits himself 😂
"Hey, did you slap a guy?"
Jim: "-40 minute story-"
I love this man, this shit is hilarious
Cornette a piece of work boy lmaoooo
He would have gotten deported to the graveyard lmfao
John: Is the boogeyman on tv tonight?
Jim: No john we sended him home, he has shingles he's contagious.
John: Can he do a re-tape ?
Jim: No john we just sended him the fuck home.
Looking forward to the next Experience, gonna be a packed episode.
I'm looking forward to him ripping Santino a new one all over again
This one is old. They just put it on Arcadian now.
Brian Last is just catching everyone up for the rant that's coming Thursday.
Cornette had a run in with Santino recently at a fan convention. Needless to say.... words were exchanged. I haven't read up much more on it than that, but if what I'm hearing second hand is correct, Santino got up in Cornette's face and dared Jim to slap him again. I get the feeling no love has been lost between those two.
Santino Marella: Comedy Midget. He's not even that good of a comedy wrestler.
the only funny thing he did is when he attempted Melina's split and hurt himself that was funny, obviously acting because he has no balls or he would've done something about Jim bitch slapping him in front of everyone.
No he is typical wwe trash sports entertainment
Objectively pointless
This is great to go back and listen to. Especially since Marella's daughter now works in NXT.
She won't make it to main roster ever, I can guarantee
Who is she?
@@sklssAriana Grace.
Get a kick out of Jimmy Boy on his rants
I stg every single time I listen to this story I crack up just as much. Listened to it again on the way to work today and I must have looked like a crazy person the way I was constantly trying not to burst out laughing in traffic 🤣🤣🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
A real shooter (fighter) doesn't have to brag about it. Fake overconfidence is loud and feels the need to brag about it. Real confidence is quiet and doesn't feel the need to brag or prove itself.
Like Steve Blackman. He was a real badass and I heard he wasn't much of a talker backstage especially.
How about Conor McGregor? It depends on the personality.
Brian and Jim have gained so much more on air chemistry since this. I love their back and forth nowadays.
Agreed
Who ever Santino got in contact with was the beginning of the end for them. Like Beth Phoenix, Umaga RIP, Emma and Vladimir "next big thing" Kozlov. He's like the 205 championship
Jim will defend the business the way he knows best, with an incendiary promo 🔥
I play these all night
“I might not should have slapped him” *evil giggle*
"He would have gotten deported to the fucking graveyard" LOL
I really do love Jim. He pisses me off alot with the things he says but I agree with alot of other stuff he says at the very same time! The guy has the greatest mind in wrestling. Great storyteller! Cornette is the epitome of a "legend".
I absolutely love Jim Cornett. Guys love for the business. Guy has worked with all the greats. If him and Jim Ross was at WWE it would be 100 times better
3:04 This.. This right here.. Lol.
Imagine you've accomplished 1/10,000th of what somebody else has in profession that encompasses your entire life, even years after you flunked out....you've just imagined life as Santino when confronting Jim Cornette
Damn, you must be good if Corny is saying you’re the next ric flair.
Imagine santino marella laughing at New Jack
New jack would stab him proudly
Let's go old school for a sec. What about, say, Terry Funk?
Or Sabu. He beat the dogshit out of a fan because his turban got snatched off. Imagine what he would have done if some jabroni in the amateur class tried to make an ass of him?
New Jack would have killed him. No doubt.
New jack would have attempted murder for the 5 time and failed.
Jc shiting all in his pants & socks....lmao
Deported to the graveyard is the funniest thing I’ve heard today
I do think Santino is a talented entertainer, and just because he's a comedy wrestler doesn't mean it doesn't work for the audience. They don't ALL have to be stoic stone faced badasses. It'd be boring as hell if that were the case. Doesn't excuse the snotty ass behavior from Santino, because he did fuck up with the Boogeyman situation.
FINALLY, a decent take on this incident.
But Santino wasn't entertaining. R-Truth is a comedy guy(unfortunately because he is a former NWA champ and much too good for that) and is good in the ring. Santino wasn't entertaining as comedy or in the ring
I agree, I didn't mind Santino.
I just listen to the ones about all the behind the scenes stuff to the wrestling.
the thing with comedy wrestling is you cant overdo it. santino was over the top and ridiculous.
Marella is like lauranitous' real life Jesus. He took a coronette slap for lauranitous' sins. Lauranitous should thank you everyday for not having to be slapped by the mighty jim
Never liked santino. Don't wish injury on anybody but glad he's off tv. Hate that clown shyt but that's all wwe is now. Be glad when aew gets goin
They do that clown shit too, booking the goof that "wrestles" with his hands in his pockets.
@@mcomiskey7 yeah....but it was never as blatant & nonsensical as WWE.
@@isitoveryet9525 It's been a year. You still feel that way?
You know its about the WWE when Jim has to point out he figuratively shat on the guy
Anthony Carelli A.K.A Santino Marella IS Italian well.... Italian/French with Canadian Nationality.
Corny has rage blackouts all the time. He's talked about it a few times on the drive-thru. He legit fades out and doesn't know what he's done.
Sounds like excuses for being a terribly nasty person who doesn't take responsibility for anything.
After watching the clip of what happened, Jim probably overreacted but let's be fair Santino Marella has a very slappable face
'deported to the graveyard!' fuck me hahahaa
22:24 🤣🤣🤣🤣 damn I just laughed wayyyyy too hard!!!
I love Cornette's rants.
I never thought about it before, but it would make sense that you should have automatic ways to behave around wrestlers in public. So just the idea that you would run away was completely new to me, but it makes sense once you think about it. Obviously someone like Marella should have known this already if he was in training.
Both are in the wrong, but Santino made it a bit worse in that airport... He couldn't be the bigger man and that's sad.
Hard to be the bigger man when you're a 5'5" manlet like Morella.
It would’ve been literally his only chance to be the bigger man, and he passed it up. Shame
Who done the podcast with Jim before Brian ? Or what happened ?
I love Jim but how can he say they treated the business seriously in OVW with gimmicks like The Boogeyman, Leviathan, and The Prototype?
I could listen to Jim Cornette talk about wrestling all day long and not get bored 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Eugene was better than Santino
Vito Andolini from Corleone except Eugene was never championship material. The only championship he won I think is the world tag team championship I'm not sure. Someone shed some light on that.
Eugene was absolutely amazing in his gimmick and in his actual skill set, he was over as hell and could wrestle an amazing match with anybody. Eugene could have legitimately carried any title they wanted to put on him if they handled the story correctly. Imagine how over an underdog story would have been that culminated in Eugene winning the world title would have been with Regal in his corner.
Dude, the Gobbledygooker was better than Santino "Judistu-Jackoff" Marella.
This is a Jim’s classic 😂 his storytelling has so much imagery
I wonder what cornette really thinks about santino
Just imagine being told by two wrestlers at a live event that Jim Cornette wants to see you... In the back... Immediately...
Cornette is a natural story teller, a funny guy and knows the history of the business. And has respect for wrestling and for those who respect it. Which is why he has no time for Santino
I love the Corn when he pops
Oh god how great it is listening to this one after listening to his altercation with Santino at the convention in Detroit
3:03 ,Corney is always good for a laugh
Cornette needs to be a spokesperson for Sprite!!! xoxo The Clarences
Timely. :)
21:18 jim cornette beat the devils out of santino
He must have been pretty mad when Trump no-sold Boogeyman
“So I shit myself” 😂 said in the most nonchalant tone. I can imagine Cornette standing in the OVW locker room, angry, with his hands on his hips and pants full of shit
Gave him the paintbrush slap 💀💀💀😂😂
Here’s my take on the incident;
I’m a professional wrestler, and I’ve been on all sides of this thing for almost seven years.
Also, if they hit me, I would “go unconscious.”
When I wrestled in Newark, Ohio, I had apparently fucked something up.
Never heard of you. Probably because you let other people walk all over you.
Steven Rainmaker I enjoyed reading that
@Joseph thank you, and @jevon I’m sorry, I thought I replied to this, but I guess not.
