Great pics Paul & Denise with a fab pano to end with.
its a great location to shoot
Done this a couple of years ago- pre Covid, and yes it is very slippy! The reason being is that it is a limestone outcrop and limestone is one of the slippiest rocks, especially when wet. Great care is needed here. Great video which shows the effort you put in. Thanks! 😊
its a must do time and time again
Stunning Location thanks for Sharing .Will make an attempt to visit next time we are at Buxton. You Open the country side for us all ,True vlogs no B.S.Ha Ha . stay safe & Mrs C
never any BS from me haha
Excellent vlog Paul of a beautiful location, I was up there in late winter this year just before lockdown. 🌄📷🚶♂️
Nice one, would like to see it in winter
Another place I really need to get to looks a steep climb though it may take me all day, Mrs C got some good pictures in as well you did, A huge like from me.
Thank you any walk is ok if you take your time ⏲
I was there Sunday morning at 6.30am!
no way, did you get a good sunrise
Another stunning video, photos and you and Denise are really a great team and add humor to things. I always enjoy a good chuckle when you call Denise “the good wife” on your walks!
Both your personalities really set a positive tone to the photo videos! Thanks for all of it!
Thanks so much its a pleasure, just a shame Mrs C is not out as much as she used to
Really good video, thanks for sharing. I tried to do this today but it rained most of it. I didn't want to risk coming down the front of parkhouse so I went back and then around the side. In the rain the mud just moves under your feet and as you pointed out the rock is as slippy as it gets. Still a good day. Lovely seeing your pictures of what its like when the cloud line is higher than the ridge :-) thanks for the photo tips as well. Its great to see the theory in practice so thanks for the demo.
Don't blame you so slippery in the wet
lovin the videos paul, that tree would look lovely with snow on the ground or mist in the valley.
oh if i can get there with some snow i will lol
Enjoyed upto the point you said selfie 🤣
selfie why???
That was some walk Paul, with some fanastic views. I really thought you and the Mrs D was going to get soaked but you had a lucky break, we are all living in some rotten times so take care! and thank you and Denise for taking us with you...
your welcome, i was wondering about the rain haha

Enjoyed that bud - nothing like a good walk to clear the head. You travelling lite ?? Lol - only 1 sherpa then :). That final shot is a belter Paul and Mrs C is no slouch with an image either. Good on ya getting out.

Another great vlog and images Paul, that path looked well dodgy lol
It was hahaha
really enjoy your video s paul
thank you for commenting..
Nothing wrong with shooting hand held.Just spent a week in Skye and things change so fast I always had the camera on me lap driving around. No one would ever know the difference unless you mention the fact.I really enjoy a bit of run and gun photography.Another cracking informative video.👍🏻👍🏻
thanks mate yer i do it myself in my car or van haha
Looks such a stunning location, one for the list when this covid is all done with! Not sure there will be much travelling for a few weeks.
no mate it looks like we going back into restrictions again
Hi Paul, great video again, been there myself many times. Just a short trip away is mam tor Hill and wynatts pass, pevrill Castle, some fantastic photo shoots. Ps know what you mean about the happy pills
i like Mam Tor and Winatts pass.. great places to do sunrise
As someone who does quite a lot of walking that looks a great location for a hike Paul. Due to a slight heart condition I struggle up the hills and tend to stick to the the lower/flatter walks these days. Judging by the way you were puffing and panting I think I would have required a defibrillator strapped to my back.
I know the photography on this occasion was secondary, however you still produced some lovely images again and it just goes to show that we don't always require a tripod to take great photos.
I'm sure the walk will have done you the world of good as it is so important for our general wellbeing. Believe me I have been in a similar situation to you and to be honest the demons never leave us entirely but they can be managed and what you are doing goes hand in hand with the medicine the doctors prescribe. I'm certain you don't, but never forget the most important person in your life, she just followed you up that hill and came down it on her backside and if that isn't devotion I don't know what is.
Stay safe, both of you👍
i have to say Mrs C is the best, love her loads she goes lots of places with me and puts up with all my crap as well... thanks for the comment its so nice to hear from people like yourself
'The Quiet Woman', no comment, definitely no comment. Nice person your missus.
What a stunning landscape. I really have to make a holiday of the Peak District sometime. However I think I'll wait until all the present nastiness is over and we have a solid vaccine under our belts.
There's a good point here to be made about matching the footwear to the underlying geology. More importantly the type of sole/tread on the footwear. Some terrain suits heavy hard soles, some softer rubbery, trail shoes can sometimes be safer than boots. Plus the less you carry the less strain you put on the old ticker to pump oxygen.
Anyway, keep smiling, with or without the happy pills. Talking and walking works better than long term medication that masks symptoms. The answer is ultimately to make lifestyle changes and de-stress those real-world pressures, get those self-imposed 'demons' off your back. Take care :-)
great words and advice sir.. i have way to many demons to shift them all...lol
@@paulcomptonpdphotography Nobody invites a saint to a party but neither do you invite someone who throws your best glasses against the wall more than once :-/
thats for sure haha
Have to say some of Denise’s just shaded some of your images🤪
haha ok well she does it again haha
Lovely photos but it’s getting like watching itv with all the adverts so sorry it’s a turn-off for me
i had a few people saying about the adds, its not my fault how many... UA-cam do what they like, if i say no to any adds they will not promote my videos and people will not see them, i only get a choice of yes or no, not how many. Its upsetting UA-cam putting so many in, i think its because my videos are longer so they get more chances to put them in
