Damn I randomly came across this video, and I love it. You evoke a lot of the humor that wow was about for years, it really was a joy to watch, thanks.
I stand corrected. I did not actually percieve those groups as seperate from the blood elfs, but you might be correct. However, I do not believe that sub-races as a gimmick will be a thing as tboth night elves and blood elves could be seen as sub-races of the elven race.
the new playable race will be murlocs then blizz is gonna try a crazy stunt and remove every race other than murloc and the game will be renamed "World Of Murloc"
Personally. As much as I'd love to play as a Naga or Murloc I'd much rather have upgrades to character creation options. I want orcs that aren't balding; male trolls, goblins & forsaken with facial hair & female worgen that don't look like a chihuahuas with rabies. Yes having subrace options like brown orcs & tauren with moose horns would be awesome also. More than anything though. I want Panda Death Knights & Druids! I mean they're culture is around wild gods & they respect nature. As for DKs well they've been raising a lot of new Death Knights to fight the Legion. Some of them are bound to be pandas.
DK Pandas would be funny, just think about it: A horde of zombies, ghouls and other monsters would march upon enemy forces and who would create them? You guessed it, fat, fluffy Pandaren. But the idea isn't bad (especially 'bout druids, it is possible)
Faolan Hart {Animal Above The Man} Id much prefer naga, honestly, but if we got better character customization and sub races instead, I'd be pretty happy with that too.
I think you’ve got the elf subraces backwards. The nightborne pretty explicitly are favoring the Horde, and high elves existence are because they’re still in the Alliance. Giving the Horde the night elf skeleton and Alliance the blood elf skeleton makes more sense imo.
Wait a second. I'm speaking as a Horde player here, and I'd like to have the nightborne on our side and all, but where do you see them "explicitly favoring the Horde"? Up until Argus, I don't believe there is any difference between Alliance and Horde interactions with the nightborne, and I don't think this one conversation with Lady Liadrin on the Vindicaar is really proof they are "explicitly" favoring the Horde.
Don Korb I mean, if an entire conversation dedicated to showing how the nightborne and blood elves have identical struggles, and can serve noble causes isn’t explicit enough, dunno what it.
Don Korb there is also a comment on the quest before you start a scenario to attack suramar ... nightborne say how they like blood elves and find them equal in power and look at night elves as primitives with bow and arrows and unable to use magic
Huh. Well, OK, good points - I guess I kinda missed those clues. Only played through the Suramar line once, and that was right when it launched, guess I didn't pay enough attention. Thanks for clearing that up!
If Blizzard wants to get those subs up even higher, have the Nightborne variant of Night Elves be part of the Horde faction and the High Elf variant of Blood elves be Alliance.
I was thinking the same. Nightborne and High Elves as sub- races would be awesome. The few remaining High Elves are still very loyal to the Alliance and we all know what Vereesa thinks of Horde. I could totally see the Nightborne join the Horde. They have a similar history with the Blood Elves and Tyrande doesn't trust them. But if they're going to make Nightborne playable, they better make transmog sets of their outfits. I can't imagine a Nightborne wearing leveling gear.
Prince Stormstrider dont forget that Vereesa almost join the Horde after MoP and turn it down on the last second. She does not obivously care much about her allegiances, she only cares about herself and her boys.
Sub races is by far my favorite choice there. 🤓 I love the lore in Warcraft and adding to our character’s lore by being able to pick a sub race would be just the shot-in-the-arm i’d need to switch back to WoW from.... sorry i already forgot what game i’ve been playing lately because i’m drooling over changing my Demon Hunter to a Nightfallen! 😈
@Taliesin. Don't be throwing shade at my Ogres! They should have been playable long ago. certainly we would still have strays and bands that would return to the Horde post second war. Also Mok' Nathal would be a good race too.
That is true, if Ogres are not playable Mok´Nathal would be pretty sweet. However I do believe it will fit better as a sub-race... Also where the Heck was Rexxar when the whole Demon invasions started, he is the champion of the Horde.
I still love this game, and I am not one of those "WoW is dead" jerks, but I got to make a confession. Nowdays our armor sets and weapons are so full of shinny spikes, fire, ghosts and daggers all over the place that I can't difference a dwarf from an orc or a human. Everyone look like a titan from another universe. Not that I hate it (in the end we all love to look like gods), but sometimes I remember the days when I was fighting pirates in stanglethorn, with my normal armor. I wasn't the chosen one wielder of the Ashbringer and shinning like the sun in my holy robot. It was me, my normal sword and a horse named Pinto. To be honest, I felt more connected to my character back then. Felt like I was creating my very own story, not following the super epic one that was created for me.
I agree actually uhm i always thought that every player being the chosen one AND leader of their respective classes kind of broke....a lot of story and lore in the game. Plus....we all apparently have the ONE artifact that can defeat the legion....its cool concept but it turned into a very directed solo game essentially. Which i suppose is okay...for one expansion. one. thats it
Yes, but I don't belive we can go back to the anonymous adventurer days anymore. I like most of the new stuff, and this game will still consume a lot of my time for the next years I belive, but I miss the days when I felt free to fantasize my own adventures. I'm a very imaginative person, so I miss it. Most ppl don't care for this stuff, I guess.
I have felt the same way :/ its not an RpG. Not just in story telling but in game mechanics. They also take so many choices away from what you can choose for your quest rewards. ANd that was bad because SOME PEOPLE, including me, ddnt choose based on best stats but on what looked cool. And i should be allowed to do that in a supposed Rpg game. But its not. :/
I have a gnome survival hunter and i use scarelet crusade set with hellreaver as transmog. I don't look like a Titan(as gnome nothing will make me look like one though) but the redish vanilla armor of a religious zealot with the tbc hellreaver combined looks awesome to me.
I love the idea of sub-races. Would be cool to play a Dark Iron Dwarf, Nightborn Elf (Blood/Night), Zandalari Troll, or (my personal fav, because of the kick-ass antlers!) a Highmountain Tauren.
Always wanted sub-races, and it never made sense to me why we wouldn't get some.. All races have some alternate version of themselves... I mean how awesome wouldn't it be to be an actual skeleton forsaken, or a lich, or a geist, or an undead version of any other race in the game..
My biggest gripe, is their posture. Give me a Darkspear Troll that can stand up straight and I am game! Hell, all the male Horde for that matter. Why do we need to look like we all have Kyphosis?
Yeah, they may not even have genders. It's not like every species does. You could choose the gender for the voice lines of your Ethereal but it's not like they need a boobed model.
If we don't get more customization and/or sub-races, many players will probably quit. It's just so overdue and easy to implement it's almost like an insult to the player base who's been asking for it. With that said... Vrykul, nightborne, high elves, dark irons and mecha gnomes please :)
Wait think of it, alleria wind runner became void so maybe she'll be elected as some sort of queen of the void walkers/ethereals so now we can become them
If they are going to do another neutral race that can join either faction, they need to put more effort into why that race would want to choose one over the other, as it stands I still don't understand the Pandaran's reason for joining either faction, since their entire culture is about peace and not expressing negative emotions. Well now they may have to kill friends and loved ones because they chose to be on the other side of a generation spanning war with no end in sight.
Check the Blizzcon 2015 WoW Q&A. They explicitly said they are going to do sub-races. 2 Years have passed and this upcoming Blizzcon there's no doubt, we'll see all those sub-races they've built in the last 2 years. That's also the reason why we won't get new races this time around: There's only so much the art team can create in a given time.
ZwuckeL That's provided they implement sub races this expansion they could use it as a hype maker right before dropping the next expansion or be part of the next mass overhaul expansion
shouldn't bash wod about not having any new races. I'd rather have 10 fully updated, nice looking races over 1-2 races that only 5% of the playerbase will play.
I've got a bit of a list of sub races I'd like to see. High Elves, Nightborne, Forsaken Elves, Broken Draenei, Lightforged Draenei, Eredar, Highmountain Tauren, Taunka, Yaungol, Zandalari Trolls, Dark Iron Dwarves, Earthen, Iron Dwarves, Mechagnomes would all fit to start. If you fudge the numbers on sizing, Vrykul and Ogres could be alternates for humans and orcs respectively. I would still really like to see playable Arakkoa and Ethereals, though.
Technically Naga are also a sub-race of Night elves... also all trolls are a sub-race of night elves. Honestly most likely thing I see would be doing the whole night elf thing, and depending on what form of corruption you choose, you get to be a naga or a nightborn. Just hoping they somehow give the naga to alliance and the nightborne to horde though... cuz having both night elves and nightborne on one side... they're a bit too similar.
RummerChan Lol what? You mean all Elves are sub-races of Trolls. Night elves decent from Transformed Dark Trolls the most stupid primitive tribe that settled near the well of eternity. And all Trolls originate from the Zandalarian empire that exsisted long before titans ald old gods invaded the planet. They have more knowledge then any other race. ;,)
I kind of like the idea of subraces. After seeing the army of the light draenei, all I can think is, "Gimme that damned haircut and eyes!!" Broken would be a nice theme as well.
Subraces and even subfactions are what I’ve been daydreaming about for years. LET ME BE A FARSTRIDER RANGER PLZ BLIZZARD Seriously though, we are long overdue for deeper customization options.
WAIT HOLD YOUR HORSES ....... Nightfallen COULD actually be the next playable race think of it .. they have their own capital city (when the demons are gone) and so on O_O I mean why not have a 3. elfen faction who can choose where to go WTF my mind is blown from that xD
They don't need to redesign any leggings or boots for naga. Open WoW model viewer. They all display. All of them! :D Also: "Vrykul are too big to fit in doors" and then "Nathrezim could be made smaller". u wot?
What? No they aren't. The silhouette is still completely different. Night elves and blood elves are more similar than vrykul and humans. And vrykul would still be larger than humans, of course - they'd be around tauren-sized.
I would love to play as a Ogre in the Horde. Why wouldn't you think they work? Those you mentioned? Laughs... Hahaha...No...Ogres would be a awesome playable race for the Horde and there are already two clans or tribes already in the red faction so yeah. They got their own classes that could work for them, got a size...The ones in the Venture Co can be their size etc... Mounts are no duh either.
Aarakoa, are the only race other than the ethereal that understand light and shadow. Perfect for the next expansion. Naztherium are a good idea but would feel more like a Dranei Demon hunter... So I'm a little iffy on that but a female model would be sexy as hell... Haha pun intended.
You could say the same about the Tauren they worship the sun and sunlight, the Night Elves worship the moon and moonlight and so on, so its more mute then you think.
Everything you've touched on for sub races, I've been wanting for a while now. A broken draenei or a wretched blood elf would be cool. As far as new races, I don't have any ideas for alliance, but for horde, I'd freaking love to play as a Quilboar. The Centaurs would be awesome, but not sure how that'd work, same with the Naga.
High elfs definitely would be nice, however being they are very much an Alliance faction I would think it odd to be Horde as one. I mean maybe choosing High Elf sends you to the Alliance right after leveling (maybe the Quel'thalas area turns into a phased event at the start and after level 20 in the zone you are sent off to Stormwind as Alliance (High Elf) or Org if Horde (Blood Elf)?
LimitedSauce right they were exiled shortly after by Lor'themar (reluctantly IIRC). But since the Battered hilt quest we know they are allowed to travel to the Sunwell still as a pilgrimage like event. This is what I was meaning more so. But to add Subrace where would they go to level? Whole new starting zones for all the subraces? Be nice but not practical for Blizzard consider if you took all say all vanilla and TBC races and X2 them. Also some would be really off, Warlock high elf? Ummm pretty sure that would make them a Blood elf considering the lore.
I don't either. Lore wise, naga, murlocks, orgres etc don't make sense as a playable race. They've been enemies to the races we play since vanilla, probably even longer. The only reason naga are with demon hunters is the coilscar made a pact with illidan and only illidan. They won't serve another leader.
Original as in back on Draenor fighting against the Draenei, and even then, they were seen as a means to an end that were eventually abandoned when they served their purpose.I've read every single WoW novel. The only ogres they mentioned by name are blackheart from auchindoun, and cho'gall. The only other one is Rexxar, who is half ogre, and he left the horde in"beyond the dark portal". I don't see any ogres chilling out in any horde capital. They will never be playable
99% sure that if there is a new race, it will be the Nightborne. However if they make Ethereals a playable race (and they can be priests) I would very likely pay for the race-change.
Me neither- I don't see why people would want to play Naga. I mean, they're pretty cool in retrospect of Abominations being cool- but it's not like I would want to play it as a race. Just a neat model and design aesthetic for the WoW universe.
If you go with the mythology and not just what has been seen in WoW it would actually be cool. A shapeshifter that has a human and a half snake form. If you want to split it horde and alliance; how about some Rhakshasa for Alliance and the Naga go Horde? Naga are problematic for either faction canon with the long running animosity with the Trolls on the Horde side and the Naga hate for anything Night Elf. A Tiger man shapeshifter toon would have to be named "Tony".
It's fromt he Warcraft series.... NOT WORLD OF WARCRAFT. Let's put it this way... Naga is from before your time. It goes back 10,000 years before WOW. Queen Asharah was part of the Highborn Elfs, in her vanity she betrayed her people and sided with the legion and allowed them to come to Azeroth and try and take the Well of Eternity. Outraged, Illadin, Tryande, and Malferian, a captured orc slave from the future, and other heros from the future, set out to destory the Well to protect their people, all while people started to revolt and chaos struck the Elf community. The Queen happened to have a special staff/or smaller little wand thing that controlled the seas. With the coming of the legion, and breaking of the well, the city broke apart. All kinds of elves went in all kinds of ways and as you see in legion, the many other forms that elves took to stay alive. Same goes for Queen Ashara and her followers, they were drowned, but, with the staff - they got gills, and became Naga. The Queen waits for her chance to rise again with her Naga. She serves the Old God. In Warcraft they attcked trolls and goblins, and they also aided Blood Elves. Along with other things. Naga would make sense to have as a playable race. A lot of my friends want them, but as for my opinion, I really don't think they should be. too weird of a model for me. If you could explain them getting legs, then I would fine with it. Maybe like, the coming of the Queen out of the sea, they start to become elves again? She finds a ritual that allows her to transform again, and be more stable on land.
Well, you mean like the death knights, being former scourge, had a long-running animosity? Seeing murlocs or naga as allies of the horde/alliance seems plausible considering that they must have lost a ton of soldiers to the legion invasion/scourge/calamity/old gods/.... They will need to make a very good excuse for the fact that we are still killing them in most leveling zones but hey, they worked timetravel to draenor into the lore so...
5:15 heres a way they can do it: hybrids. in legion you encounter a naga behemoth with legs but it was revealed they are a mutation that didnt work to well meaning they are testing on themselves or species they take and experiment on them. maybe like worgen where they were pure human before curse we could get neutral naga humanoids where they kinda resemble as night elfs with whats left of naga traits on them.
Because they look interesting and not your usual run-of-the-mill fantasy race (Arakkoa have non-cursed models since WoD BTW, though I wouldn't mind the limping one anyway). If you look closely at the available models currently there's a lot of variety actually, though idk how it fits with the whole gear system. The difference between particular Ethereal models is not only in the wrappings.
Brandon Because if you had played WoD youd know that the Arakkoa werent always just limp birds Like literally, imagine a fucking eagle with a human like form Before their hunched over forms they were actually bad ass as fuck Not only that, but if you look at their slim models you can tell that itd take blizz little to no effort to get their model ready for gear Hell tbh they can really come with their own class. Next, they can go with either faction so everyones happy since it wouldnt mess up the lore and make sense Bringing in the Arakkoa could benefit WoW by a metric fuckton Hell if Blizz really wanted to rake in dough (im not a fan of the naga at all) they could bring in the naga and the Arrakoa at the same time under the same conditions. Hell its like night and day. You have the snakes on one side and the birds on the other lol, both races got turned into what they are unwillingly so itd also make one hell of a quest chain to see how they manage to revert back to their former selves Literally so much can be brought about just by bringing in these 2 races its ridiculous Hope that answers your question But, yeah thats why. Also the limp ones are pretty cool, not sure how id feel about playing one since i like the melee aspect of them more.
Ever since WOTLK I always wanted Vrykul to be a playable race. I love their models so much, both males and females. At this point, I don't even care if they make them neutral, or give them to one of the factions, I would play them nonetheless. There's just something magnificent about that tall, strong, long hair, bearded viking look that does it for me.
Anybody else remember that quest in WOTLK where the Tuskarr ask for help saving their village, and you come up to the battlefield to find its littered with the corpses of the Tuskarr's enemies? Where 5 enemies would spawn at once and charge 3 tuskarr, only to get a beatdown which aimed to impress? I do, and that is why they are the best race.
I hate you for discarding Arakkoas that easily, allthough their backstory got fleshed out with their own Gods, culture and history of war and betrayal. I don't care about Fish, Walruses, Bandage-elementals or Batmen, i just wanna be a Birdperson.
The Great Pufferfish fuck yeah they exist aswell, their racial could be a small casting for 15 seconds u fly like the original arskoa before droping to ground due ur weak self
Yeah. Particularly after reading Chronicles Volume 2. They gave them such rich lore. And they actually left it open ended enough for the apexis empire to still exist somehow. A city in the sky would be awesome. But I still prefer subraces over them.
Not mention their lore. They are the night elves who made a deal with the devil (Sargueras) and mutated by Old Gods. Very popular race since Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne.
In the starting area questing a powerful naga priest gives your naga legs with webbed feet "the battle before us lies on the surface, i will give you the ability to traverse their world as easily as you do ours." you swim 50% faster, can still breath underwater and slightly regenerate health while in combat as passive racials.
There were three less than stellar expansions in a row that dropped subs over and over... Legion put a an end to the trend I think we're in a good place now where the expansions can't get worse but better
shaonic200 I do believe the only reason they haven't made High Elves, is because they look like Blood Elves (save for the eyes). I do wish that they were creative during TBC and did something similar to what they did with Pandaren. The starting quests beginning at the Fall of Quel'thalas. After, when Lor'themar exiled the High Elves, we got to choose between Quel/Sin'dorei. But... then we wouldn't have Draenei.
I could see naga, pants would be a slight modification and a single boot aesthetic for the tip of the tail I guess, since a lot of races have no boots anyway... Also for mounting, here's a simple solution - side saddle, with the tail draped over the side. I can even see the racials, underwater breathing and increased swim speed, which isn't super exciting, but if there's a lot of water around...
Nightborne wouldn't be part of the Alliance, my only complaint with this fantastic video. Tyrande hated the Nightfallen and Nightborne, if you recall. Even after they choose to let the Nightwell die, she still is icy towards their species. Liadrin on the other hand has always been sympathetic towards the Nightfallen's plight.
Keep in mind, the nightborne are basically blood elves, withered = wretched. Nightwell = Lightwell. Nightwell attracting demons. The curse of the nightwell being cured. Liadrin probably saw a lot of her people's plight in them. That being said, I would like the nightborne to be a neutral faction like the pandas, but as of now, they make more sense to be a bloodelf sub-race, over a nightelf one.
Remember when draenei were introduced? Blizz made them pretty. Since naga are cursed nightelves there might a slightly altered version with legs and more humanoid features be introduced.
If we're going to lorebreak for the sake of fan service let me get my idea in. I've got it. Playable Sargeras. Everyone can roll Sargeras and level through Azeroth. We can have a guild full of Sargerases.
So basically... not naga at all, but just fucked up night elves? You do know that Blizzard didn't create naga, right? They just used an existing idea, and the whole snake body thing is kind of what makes a naga a naga. That would be like saying "We should get a unicorn mount, except it doesn't have a horn, and it looks nothing like a horse."
Azshara has both a night elf and naga form though. Nothing wrong with that. You should realize that Nagas are nothing else but (Night) Elfs transformed to Nagas. if I recall correctly it was due to Azsharas City going down the Ocean and they had to adapt slowly over the years.
I want two new races, i don't like the idea of neutral races. Its World of WARcraft... not World of i'm indifferent towards both sides but i like this ones colour better...craft.
As was mentioned in the light/shadow faction video, the current factions no longer make sense. Current events leave little reason for the factions' enmity. There's been little conflict between Legion (and to a lesser extent in Draenor) because it would be incredibly trivial and petty in the grand scheme of things. Since we will probably be facing an even more dangerous enemy next, further cementing the current faction division seems pointless.
My vote is for sub-races personally. I've been hooked on that idea for years--although I can't remember when or where exactly the idea was pitched, I just remember loving it. Maybe your Pandaren (ugh) could have a sub-race of...Tuskar? Dunno how that would work but...insane thought is part of the Blizz experience now. But if we do have another race--ETHEREALS! From when I first saw them in BC, as crude as they were, I loved them. Like you with Tuskar. I even had multiple conversations over the years about how cool they'd be as a played race. If you thoroughly followed the BC line--you'll encounter a number of various models. So as far as classes, if you fight the various types you'll see clear indications. They have Mages, Priests, Warriors, Rogues. And some variants that could be Warlocks. Some even shot lightning at points but wouldn't really push for Shammies. Hunters was one thing I didn't think of, but as we can tame mana wyrms, spirit beasts, etc...I can see them working. Especially if the Ethereal Hunter had a racial to Tame things like Aberrations. As long as they don't have that jerky run like they do in BC--I'm all on board. And faceless...I LOVE THEIR NEW DESIGN! Besides, it would be cool to have a race WITHOUT gender. Brand new! Every other race has 2 genders. It would be another change to broaden options. Of course the voices would have to sound genderless, unless Voice is an option in the character creation in place of hairstyle!
Eredar are basicly Draenei Demon Hunters, and they should have already been available for this xpac. They could have easily countered them with Troll Demon Hunters. They both would have been a fantastic edition to the game.
Many races already have clearly automated systems to remove shoes, think Trolls and Pandaren, or better yet hooves with Draenei and Tauren. It would be much work to simply have most of the leg and feet armour be invisible with just bits bolted on. The naga seem quite happy being away from water when you see them away from it in places like the Demon Hunter class hall. They certainly are adapted for it, but they seem quite able to move perfectly fine on land.
I've imagined my Draenei Shaman as a Broken ever since the "Unbroken" short story came out. If I could make him look like one, I would be happier than I've ever been in the game.
All I want are Mantids...they fit perfectly with an old gods expac and there can be a different faction of klaxxi that realized the old gods are bad so they join us... and Jaina had a dreadlord skin in HOTS which can be used as a female nathrezim
Mantids are so freakin badass, but I'm afraid their chapter is already closed( Still i really hope we'll see Mantid empire once again restored and prosperous, as well as Azhol'nerub) The Aqir or Quiraji are more likely to become a new playable race, if we speak about insectoids. Silithus and local inhabitants are cirtainly going to be involved in the next expansion, according to the spoilers.
one of the things you forget is that naga are ex-high elves- thus highborn and naga are the same race similar to human/worgen. so you could have a similar type thing of naga defecting from azshara and having the ability to change from highborn to naga
I wanna play as a peon just to log in to see a map full of world quests and be like what "more work?" off I go then
Lets be honest, if you could play a peon, you'd just take a nap till an Orc comes along and smacks you with a Bootarang.
You're thinking of peasant
yeah true but the peon is just the warcraft version of it
Work is da poop
Me not that kind of orc
I've always wanted to play an abomination
Just so I could look like myself in-game too
s a m e
lol XD
DDx16 wow...just wow
play an abomination DK and summon an abomination.
DDx16 im a abomination irl
Damn I randomly came across this video, and I love it. You evoke a lot of the humor that wow was about for years, it really was a joy to watch, thanks.
Easy way to fix the absence of faces on Ethereals: make emotions show by lights in the face changing in intensity, pattern and color.
Enthused Norseman like Rorschrac from the Watchman
Like "Arc warden"? (Dota2 ( my profile
Or the pattern of the bandages, wrapped around the face.
I too, would like literal face emojis in my WoW Ethereals.
@Vlad1m4ra - Literally laughed out loud- perfect comment response
I feel like Sub-races are the most likely next to Nightborne for the Horde and High Elves for the Alliance or Nightborne as a neutral race.
NobleN6 I'd love that ^^
high elves for alliance and molepeople for horde so they get more variance with their ugly mugs :))
But high elves don't exist anymore? They became blood elfs.
I would love that!
I stand corrected. I did not actually percieve those groups as seperate from the blood elfs, but you might be correct. However, I do not believe that sub-races as a gimmick will be a thing as tboth night elves and blood elves could be seen as sub-races of the elven race.
the new playable race will be murlocs
then blizz is gonna try a crazy stunt and remove every race other than murloc and the game will be renamed "World Of Murloc"
Hello Kitty Murloc Adventure
MRGLRLGLRLRGLRLGL!!!
there's exactly just like that in y8 tho
How do I play as Taliesin
It's not great, England is a pretty rough starting zone
Human priest 8^)
Just an fyi. i am prepared to fight Evitel in mak'gora for Taliesin's hand in marriage. Dude is a sweetheart
@PoliteTimesplitter
It's my city.
Just cosplay as daredevil
Faolan Hart {Animal Above The Man} brown skin and moose horns could just be additions to character creation, along with tattoos, scars, more hair, etc
Faolan Hart {Animal Above The Man} I mean, looking at one of your garrison followers, one was a Pandaren Death Knight...
Faolan Hart {Animal Above The Man} I want blood elve druids and worgan monks 🤗
having a dragon race like whelpguards would be great
you got what you wanted
The nightborne we kill say that not the rebels
I can't imagine a Nightborne wearing leveling gear.
elves, elves everywhere
I have always liked blood elfs better but I don't like the horde and alliance highelfs take my money
would it not be possible for both high elves and night borne to idk, be options for both factions? instead of one or the other
Prince Stormstrider dont forget that Vereesa almost join the Horde after MoP and turn it down on the last second. She does not obivously care much about her allegiances, she only cares about herself and her boys.
How could you have been so right?...
I've been waiting to play as an Amani Troll model for years.... Hope they make this happen!
Lowlight23 a nightfallen dh would make 0 lore sense lol, would look cool tho
Demon hunters have different customization, I think they would just not provide subrace choice, because as you said, they make zero sense lore-wise
Randomly rewatched this video.... still convinced that these guys have insider info they aren’t telling us
Same
Sub-Races..... never have I wanted something so much without knowing it!
MyNameIsJeff blizzard acknowledged that they were thinking about it at last blizzcon(could've been the one prior too). It could happen
I don't look like a Titan(as gnome nothing will make me look like one though) but the redish vanilla armor of a religious zealot with the tbc hellreaver combined looks awesome to me.
i love the Scarlet Crusade look :D and their lore
I love the idea of sub-races. Would be cool to play a Dark Iron Dwarf, Nightborn Elf (Blood/Night), Zandalari Troll, or (my personal fav, because of the kick-ass antlers!) a Highmountain Tauren.
You got everything you wanted lol
Yaaaass the highlight of my day/week. Love you guys. ❤️🍷 cheers
Figure out how a Naga will fit on the back of a dragon. And get back to me.
Side-saddle... >_> lol
Is it bad i kinda want to see that now xD
Well hmm, instead of a saddle, maybe a pole their bodies can coil on to? Haha.
Wings...
Maybe they secretly have a pair of legs like in the little mermaid or something xP
Great vid. Thanks for taking the time to make it. I would love to see your ideas put into the game. Espically the sub-races.
KILROGG!!!
DRAENOR IS FREE!!!!!
Grommash Hellscream lmao
KILL DOG!
LUL
LMAO
Always wanted sub-races, and it never made sense to me why we wouldn't get some.. All races have some alternate version of themselves... I mean how awesome wouldn't it be to be an actual skeleton forsaken, or a lich, or a geist, or an undead version of any other race in the game..
what alternate races do humans have
vrykul
Devious Verendus if you want undead parts to every race play dk
LimitedSauce Half-Elf
*My subrace list*
Human - Half-Elf
Dwarf - Dark Iron/Wildhammer
Gnome - Sand Gnome
Night Elf - Nightborne
Draenei - Broken/Krokul
Worgen - Emerald Dream (Nelf) Worgen
Orc - Mok'Nathal
Troll - Revantusk (Forest) Troll
Tauren - Taunka
Forsaken - Freshly dead humans or undead elves.
Blood Elf - Nightfallen or High Elf
Goblin - Gilgoblin
Pandaren - Furbolg
I want to be an ethereal....... Space mummies PLS
Alexandra Meininger look up Necrons;)
Zandalari trolls lokk more badass then the darkspear trolls
C 502 Every troll other than the darkspears are awesome
My biggest gripe, is their posture. Give me a Darkspear Troll that can stand up straight and I am game! Hell, all the male Horde for that matter. Why do we need to look like we all have Kyphosis?
There are actual enemy Ethereal npc's in Mac'aree that are female, based on interaction and death cries.
Yeah, they may not even have genders. It's not like every species does. You could choose the gender for the voice lines of your Ethereal but it's not like they need a boobed model.
Therrion ' Everything needs a boobed model
I think they do have boob models, they're just not huge knockers that you notice right away. There are bumps though, just have to observe.
If we don't get more customization and/or sub-races, many players will probably quit. It's just so overdue and easy to implement it's almost like an insult to the player base who's been asking for it.
With that said... Vrykul, nightborne, high elves, dark irons and mecha gnomes please :)
Wait think of it, alleria wind runner became void so maybe she'll be elected as some sort of queen of the void walkers/ethereals so now we can become them
Jackson Lippert yeah but what about taruleyn
Jackson Lippert but im all for etherals
Its hard but why they dont make more customized undead like not just human undead like orc undead or blood elf undead like sylvanas
forsakens are human undead of Lordoran. when u choose undead race u r not playing as undead race, u r playing as a forsaken.
At least let the Forsaken have a more "intact" look, like how nathanos looks now.
High elf undead*
And the race itself says "undead" not forsaken, but I get it since Lordaeron is the starting region. Still, I'd like to see more variants of undead.
3bood369 yessss only DKs can be but forsaken are likely a LOT of high elves arthas raised during the sack of quel thalas ans silvermoon
Male Nightelves are master race, the fuck you on about?
?????? Worgens look amazing
Pustules TV furfag detected
Bling Blong Blingko More like 80% would play them for a few weeks before turning them into bank alts.
Female worgen (Plural of worgen are worgen) look terrible.
Some private servers already have playable naga race so it's definitely possible
If they made Ethereal a playable race I'd jizz my pant's first, then race change second.
Youarefiredlulz why race change get 12 level 110 booster when there out all etherals
Let me know which laundromat you go to so I can avoid washing my clothes after you.
Same
I've got a bit of a list of sub races I'd like to see.
I would still really like to see playable Arakkoa and Ethereals, though.
eradar are draenei lol
Think what he means is the red look for draenei ;) i really like that idea for a sub race
LET ME BE A FARSTRIDER RANGER PLZ BLIZZARD
Seriously though, we are long overdue for deeper customization options.
How naga gon wear a boot tho
Troll and Tauren don't have the shoes either
WAIT HOLD YOUR HORSES ....... Nightfallen COULD actually be the next playable race think of it .. they have their own capital city (when the demons are gone) and so on O_O I mean why not have a 3. elfen faction who can choose where to go WTF my mind is blown from that xD
Love you guys, you're my favorite UA-camr :)
High Overlord Snarffie Beagle She* lol
irish rover Stfu and get a life
Had one of the best laughs in a long time watching this :D Great stuff
12:49 Eyy' that's me. :p
Holy shit! :D I love your videos. Thoughts on sub rogue in arenas and any view on the other specs? I'm clueless right now
hahaha!
you are trash gtfo out of here clown
haters gonna hate
slayers gonna slay hehexd
Ogres were once meant to be playable in Cata. So I put all my imaginary casino coins that they will be a race... someday...
Tuskar, please Blizz! Coolest non-playable race looks-wise.
Sub-races would be best
They don't need to redesign any leggings or boots for naga. Open WoW model viewer. They all display. All of them! :D
Also: "Vrykul are too big to fit in doors" and then "Nathrezim could be made smaller". u wot?
What? No they aren't. The silhouette is still completely different. Night elves and blood elves are more similar than vrykul and humans. And vrykul would still be larger than humans, of course - they'd be around tauren-sized.
Except they're a lot bigger than humans, so they're obviously some kind of giant. They'd be tauren-sized.
Caaethil hes just trying to push his favorites further, and find a reason to disprove one he doesnt like, even if he contradicts himself
I’m hoping I can be a ethereal shadow priest
Wrekzasaurs1234 never trust a ethereal, you can't see their faces 😊
I mean maybe choosing High Elf sends you to the Alliance right after leveling (maybe the Quel'thalas area turns into a phased event at the start and after level 20 in the zone you are sent off to Stormwind as Alliance (High Elf) or Org if Horde (Blood Elf)?
what the fuck?! high elves havent gone to silvermoon ever since arthas sacked the place, give high *elves* their own starting zone!
Ummm pretty sure that would make them a Blood elf considering the lore.
am i the only one that doesnt want to play as a naga...?
I'll be playing as a Worgen still so I don't care. I don't think it's an awful idea, I just don't like some of the classes he suggested for them.
Ogres were a part of the original Horde and some remain within the Horde to this day. The more you know, the less you look like an idiot.
Yes.
Honestly I think the Sub-Races would be the best.
I dunno what subraces I would play.
I never understood the appeal of naga.
Me neither- I don't see why people would want to play Naga. I mean, they're pretty cool in retrospect of Abominations being cool- but it's not like I would want to play it as a race. Just a neat model and design aesthetic for the WoW universe.
Yeah...I'm the same.
Sub-races cool and all, but if they added Arakkoa or Ethereals I'd make them my new mains in an instant.
Why would you want to be a limping bird-person?.. Or an Ethereal with the only customization as far as changing the wrappings?..
Brandon Because if you had played WoD youd know that the Arakkoa werent always just limp birds
Like literally, imagine a fucking eagle with a human like form
Before their hunched over forms they were actually bad ass as fuck
Not only that, but if you look at their slim models you can tell that itd take blizz little to no effort to get their model ready for gear
Hell tbh they can really come with their own class.
Next, they can go with either faction so everyones happy since it wouldnt mess up the lore and make sense
Bringing in the Arakkoa could benefit WoW by a metric fuckton
Hell if Blizz really wanted to rake in dough (im not a fan of the naga at all) they could bring in the naga and the Arrakoa at the same time under the same conditions. Hell its like night and day.
You have the snakes on one side and the birds on the other lol, both races got turned into what they are unwillingly so itd also make one hell of a quest chain to see how they manage to revert back to their former selves
Literally so much can be brought about just by bringing in these 2 races its ridiculous
Hope that answers your question
But, yeah thats why.
HellCat I agree!!!
Is that you, my friend? Lol. Had a friend obsessed with Vrykul being a playable face. She would recognize my name!
Nah, I don't know you, I am just a random person with an affinity towards all things Scandinavian/Viking. But hi!
i love viking/Scandinavian things to they are so interesting
true
I would really dislike that, I'd hope they just cleanse the Outland Arakkoas of their madness and keep them as their crippled lovable selves.
Yeah. Particularly after reading Chronicles Volume 2. They gave them such rich lore. And they actually left it open ended enough for the apexis empire to still exist somehow. A city in the sky would be awesome.
But I still prefer subraces over them.
The Great Pufferfish WoD ruined them their zone was horrible
You are joking right? Spires of Arakk was the only zone that felt like a progressive story at all and had likeable characters.
I'm waiting for ethereals since burning crusade
Nicolás Aldunate i got a flashback cause of ur profile
an armorless race wouldnt be fun
U nailed it with the sub classes section!
I don't understan why so much players want Naga as playable race... I really don't get it.
Naga are ugly, played out, and would be a ham fisted added race. How about something completely new, eh blizzard?
Not mention their lore. They are the night elves who made a deal with the devil (Sargueras) and mutated by Old Gods. Very popular race since Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne.
Nagas are snakes of water m8 they are the worst idea i have ever heared in my life
May be because of their lack of legs for boots and mounts, but it can be fixed if Bliz team is creative, tho.
Glad you don't have to understand that ;-)
Yaungol as a Tauren sub-race. Blizzard, make that shit and take my money.
In the starting area questing a powerful naga priest gives your naga legs with webbed feet "the battle before us lies on the surface, i will give you the ability to traverse their world as easily as you do ours."
you swim 50% faster, can still breath underwater and slightly regenerate health while in combat as passive racials.
THEY REALLY NEED TO ADD VRYKUL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! IT'S THE ONLY WAY!
There's already 3 human-esque looking Alliance races... a 4th would be overkill... Vrykul are just dwarves with larger human like proportions
I always imagined vrykul would be more horde material.
Radu Gabriel vrykal would be cool and you can have the the undead vrykal and light infused ones as a optional skin color
They should replace human with Vrykul and have human as a sub race to Vrykul!
Also they would fit more as a neutral race.
I play with the camera zoomed so far out that I wouldn't even notice if they introduced a new race.
Coin of many faces toy turned me into a female naga yesterday, confirmed new race?
Coin of Many Faces uses the old WoD roster of champions.
RISE OF THE TASKARS
Never thought about a sub-race option, but I'm sold. I think it could add some much needed individuality to the game.
I dont really give a fuck what the next playable race is the next expac as long as its cool im good
There were three less than stellar expansions in a row that dropped subs over and over... Legion put a an end to the trend I think we're in a good place now where the expansions can't get worse but better
High Elves for the Alliance. That's the only thing I care about.
shaonic200 I do believe the only reason they haven't made High Elves, is because they look like Blood Elves (save for the eyes).
And so... Did Taliesin inspired Blizz with all the allied races we got now?
I WANT MURLOCKS!
altho nightborne would be cool
Ethereals seem to have female voice actors now though.
Nah mate give us the drug addicts and spellblades!
I would love a proper spellblade class or Mage spec.
Lynneiah yeah me too, definitely my most wanted class/spec.
Enhancement Shaman is a spellblade in all ways except using a hammer instead of a sword.
Dothal Mcduckerson Shouldn't a spellblade in wow use arcane magic though?
Ethereals and Nightborne are the only viables IMO
Adam McClendon Ethereal would be amazing!
I've always thought naga and ethereals would be awesome - but then you brought up sub races - WANT. WANT THAT MORE.
+Josh Yep I agree. In hindsight I think the Horde would get Nightborne and the alliance would have a high Elf (so basically blood elf) option :)
Yessssss.. I so wish the Horde would get the Nightborne!!!!!
@irllcd13
Shut the fuck up idiot.
We already got a cursed playable race. No need to torture another
Naga after a first down on the new raid boss:
"Ooooh, new boots! Oh wait - I have no feet!"
Tuskar is the only correct answer.
Naga and Dark Elves, Voids.
plz blizzard let play a eredar
eredar is just a different color draenei...
LimitedSauce just like dark iron dwarfs but we cant chose them because fuck that, its not like they united again...
TUSKAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR
Toxic Strawberry I LVOE the TUSKARRRRRRRRRRR!! LOVE WALRUS FRIENDS A
I can definitely see Tuskarr as a new playable race. Would be fun.
Murlocks..... givf Murlocks :D
I've imagined my Draenei Shaman as a Broken ever since the "Unbroken" short story came out. If I could make him look like one, I would be happier than I've ever been in the game.
More beards. I don't care for new classes or for new races... Not while Humans only have the pinecone option for a beard.
Harek Farnham Better hair/beard models are needed.
moron
VARIAN!!!
Genn Greymane you should have jumped off the airship to stop the reaver.....
XD You said Pandaren could have the Furlbog. You damn near killed me with that. *Raises a glass to a toast* Cheers for that mate.
All I want are Mantids...they fit perfectly with an old gods expac and there can be a different faction of klaxxi that realized the old gods are bad so they join us... and Jaina had a dreadlord skin in HOTS which can be used as a female nathrezim
hehe Mantits
Mantids are so freakin badass, but I'm afraid their chapter is already closed( Still i really hope we'll see Mantid empire once again restored and prosperous, as well as Azhol'nerub)
The Aqir or Quiraji are more likely to become a new playable race, if we speak about insectoids. Silithus and local inhabitants are cirtainly going to be involved in the next expansion, according to the spoilers.
Why not make half like half human/orc or half draenai/nightelf or even demigods or any thing really. AND MORE CUSTOMIZATION PLS !!!
Because that what fuck up the racials.
Seems Thrall and Jiana got a little busy
one of the things you forget is that naga are ex-high elves- thus highborn and naga are the same race similar to human/worgen. so you could have a similar type thing of naga defecting from azshara and having the ability to change from highborn to naga
they probably just give nagas legs, problem fixed lul
So not naga at all. Why not just make qiraji playable but instead of bugs they're something pretty, but they're deff still qiraji!
That'd just be putting The Creature From The Black Lagoon in WoW
WHY
DO PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY NAGA
