Even though it’s a late ‘80s phenomenon, giving it a ‘50s film aesthetic would be spectacular. The makeup and hairstyling gives way more visual impact than modern “natural” looks. And the faux vintage film look makes it seem like a lost alien artifact.

My 9 year old son's name is Darien. This was his father's choice. Inspired by Tuxedo Mask. True story. His middle name is Storm. Named after Alfie, the baby from Dr. Who who prefers to call himself "Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All." My choice.
The manga and anime follow the five inner planets Sailors from age 14 through 16 (with Minako starting at age 13 when she operated alone as Sailor V), and unlike many photo realistic versions of the Sailor Moon characters, these look reasonably close to the right age especially if you consider how teens in the 1950s tended to look a bit older.
The girls in this are otherworldly gorgeous. It would be a globetrotting effort to cast this just trying to match this for appearances, let alone that AND acting quality. The casting would have to be exceptional, like Lord of the Rings, or the whole thing would fall apart like a house of cards.
