    Great video. Question for you though: Battery on mine has been out all winter. I am installing new batteries and have three leads to reconnect, the positive, negative, and a small black wire. I can’t remember if the small black goes to positive or negative. Do you have the third wire and if so where is it connected?

      @@mustangracer5124 yepp, I was on a 130 last summer and it was pretty quick! I'm probably only gonna get the 170 because it comes with the wake version :)

    The other day my 130 broke free from the dock while I was blabbing to someone and drifted away.. weird feeling looking over and its gone!
    Luckily the wind wakes took close to shore about 100 ft. away. so I wadded out to get it.. keep good dock ropes.. not like mine..lol

      Wow, luckily you were able to retrieve it without too much trouble. I can imagine the feeling in my stomach if that were to happen. Picking ours up from winter storage on 5/7, I can not wait!!! Cheers!

    Great video! Quick question - noticed we have (almost) the same Volvo (XC60 it looks like - mine is just gray :) )… I’m looking to get either a GTI SE170 or the Wake, mainly depending on my local dealer’s remaining pre-order availability and wondered how the Volvo handled your ski? I have no doubt it does great but was just curious if you’d noticed and major differences in driving/handling? I was looking to get the hitch, harness and all installed at the dealer, but had never came across anyone with almost the exact same setup I was going to have lol - had to ask! Thanks again!

      We have had absolutely no issues! The Xc60 handles as of there is nothing in tow. We had uhaul install the hitch, they were awesome! We are thinking about a second ski and if we do it will be either the 170 or the wake! Get you order in asap! Cheers!

      I tow with my polaris rzr and no prob... the ski/trailer is 800 lbs. or so and can be moved around by hand easily.

    Love your ski as I got the same one in Blue & have put 69hrs on it this first year with no issues. Just wanted to give you a piece of advice & to watch the shallow starts at the ramp or anywhere else. Shallow starts are the fastest way to ruin your ski. Just remember that you’re riding a 130HP vacuum cleaner so it has the power to suck up just about anything in the water. It’s better to just back the ski in the water & let it float off the trailer or pull it off the trailer then tie it off at the end of the ramp. Obviously have some tie off ropes ready at the ramp as well. Push off the ramp & then start the ski. I know that you’ll see plenty of people just driving their PWC’s off & on the trailers but it’s really a bad thing to do. Those are the same people I hear stories from on how they sucked something up in their jet pump. Now they are looking at repair bills & worse have no ski to be out on the water with. Hey if you got deep pockets than so be it but that’s not me. Enjoy you ski & you got a new sub now:)

      Wow 69 hours in one season is impressive my friend! We would have chosen the same blue if we had a choice, ours was the last one available to pre-order but we now love the gray and yellow. Thanks for the advice, definitely will use it. Sure don't have the time or money for anything to happen. Appreciate the support, thank you so much!

      I have the blu/grey 130 and push it off and rope it.. but am thinking of a paddle to get clear of the ramp area as wakes usually push me in

      That's good advice..I have gti 130 model and it has a trolling mode I use after I push off into water and drift for bit before use trolling speed. Then once out far enough will give it gas. Another tip I've been told when starting off (if been while since rode) to not gun it . Drive at low speed for 3 to 5 mins to warm up then shut off or idle for another 1 to 2 mins then go ahead and speed up.

      this is true shallow starts will ruin is fast but if you keep up with them and maintain them they will last you in the long run and can last up to 400 hours if taken care of.

      Sold separately it's part of the BRP Linq ecosystem so they work with their ATV's and Skidoos as well! Shock out my newer videos which showcase the larger fishing cooler!

    Are you glad you went with the 130 instead of the 170? My family are deciding which one.

    • @justhavingfunadk
      @justhavingfunadk  2 роки тому

      We are, we put a lot of thought into it and feel great about the decision. The difference is speed, I get up to 50-54 and it scares me a bit. So I would not want it any faster, I feel safer.

    • @cG-es8mb
      @cG-es8mb 2 роки тому

      @@justhavingfunadk yeah. We would only do the 170 if we pull a lot of skiers but been told the 130 will pull fine too. Hear the 170 gets up quicker out of water.

    • @larky368
      @larky368 Рік тому

      There is actually very little difference in top speeds. What you will really notice is the get up and go with the 170. In my opinion this is where the fun is. And you can always clip it's wings by programming it to eco mode if you don't want someone to get overwhelmed with the added power.
