Mine crashes about 30 times per project. I disabled as shown in the video, but I still have the issue.
Set it to off, restarted it, nothing changed.

@@marocnachat6556 using this video, it hasnt crashed at the expense of my preview buffering bad. I have gotten moments where it loads but it doesnt fully stop. Would you mind sharing how you did it?

Go to Options then preferences and choose Video then in GPU acceleration of video processing, change into OFF.
Version 20, and it's still doing this constantly. I believe it's cauing over heating. Turn your machine off for a bit, and you'll see it stops for a while. Even with GPU off, it happens, but, it happens less.
Every single project I opened crashed before this. Thank you so much!
Worked for me! My vegas pro 17 was crashing every 5 mins but this solved it!

Vegas Pro crashes very-very often (on my PC) when I'm editing 4K videos. The 4K compatibility is poor.
every time i try render a video it quits responding around 50% even after doing this any help?
- update the display driver
- install a second additional Windows and use Vegas from there
- use a different video editing software (Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve), I did this because of the many crashes of Vegas Pro

Doesnt work, keeps having the same issues, mine just says not responding, then when i am editing and changing frames it just takes for ever to load. Didn't have this issue before but now its just constant. Might even discard Vegas altogether and edit in something else that actually works.
Vegas is crashing very often on my PC/laptop also. I mostly use Premiere because of this issue.

its honestly really not that chaotic. I have some videos that I exported with over 20 layers. That takes about 2 hours per minute of video. Then I never publish them lmao.

Use Windows Task Manager to terminate Vegas, than start it again an try to disable GPU acceleration. Close Vegas and start it again, so that the changes will be saved and applied.

Always save your work at least at a major modification that you do on the timeline. (Vegas Pro is crashing very-very often on my PC, other editors don't)

I have an i3 and just got sony vegas pro 15 and when I try to open a 12 min video I get the sony vegas is not responding message. Plz help
the video file size is probably too big, use handbrake to compress the video to make the file size smaller and then put the video in vegas :)
