  • Hello, everyone.
Thank you for reaching out my channel.
In today’s video, I’m recommending some shops at Kappabashi street.
There’re over 170 shops at this street, so many of you may not know where to buy, what to buy.
I’ve done lot of research for this video asking some professional chefs such as sushi chef, Italian chef and Japanese chef.
They recommend some shops which they usually buy some kitchen tools for their daily use.
Even if you’re not chefs, still you can enjoy shopping at Kappabashi street.
    Enjoy this video!!!

Thank you for this! I was searching for a simple guide to Kappabashi street, recommending stores I could possibly visit, and this video was the easiest to watch! Thanks also for linking the Google Map pins for these places :>

Thank you for the lovely comment.
I’m so glad to hear that.
Just for your addition information, in case you’re going to buy a knife there, you need to make sure whether the knife has already sharpened or not. I means ready to use.
The knife I bought was not actually, so I needed to go back there and ask for making the knife sharpened.
You can do it by yourself if you know how to.
Anyway I hope you enjoy shopping there!!!🤗

Spent a day window shopping at Kappabashi a couple of weeks ago. While there are lots to see, I have to say the knife shops are mainly targeting tourists and their prices reflect that. For mass produced items like factory made knives, whetstones, etc., you will get way better prices elsewhere. I searched rakuten and found another store in Tokyo where I managed to buy the knife and whetstone I wanted at almost 50% less than Kappabashi. For artisan knives though.. well those are harder to come by and my be worth paying the premium to see and buy in person.
