The "Supra" is ugly as hell. They would have done it a service to design it without all of those stupid-looking creases and fake vents. Some people think the "Supra" is super customizable, and from what I've seen, you can get a "downpipe" and a $h!tty widebody kit, and that's pretty much it.
I don't care if Zee or Zed, it looks awesome to me. Possibly my next car. Good review, so thanks. It's gonna take an awesome car like this for me to part with my 2006 SLK350 Mercedes that I have had for 12+ years and still loving it.
I would totally lease a Z4 if I lived somewhere warmer, but if I moved down south people would pronounce the letter Z incorrectly so that's a tough choice. Great review, as always!

I knew that canada and europe pronounced it as a ZED, but I just thought it was like US saying Alpha, Bravo, Charlie type of thing as part of a phonetic alphabet. The more you know. The autolock feature does not work if you open the door, then turn off the engine and walk away. You have to turn off the engine first, then open the door, then walk away.
Zee works with some stuff phonetically ie. Zee L1 Camaro... but Zed R1 Corvette works. 370 Zee sounds better than 370 Zed... I often change it up and am Canadian too
The official power numbers for the Toyota Supra and "335 hp"are quite laughable, because it's exactly the same engine power stage like in this Z4 M40i. Maybe Toyota just underrates it so heavy for a "suprising effect to the people", to show how quick it is despite having "less hp". On every dyno run so far, the Supra engine had nearly 400 hp, like the BMW M40i engine too.
In Europe this engine is advertised for 335-340 hp, because it has a catalizor or DPF to meet the enviromental rules here, in US there is none so it has 382 hp.
Good Review, thank you. I looked at this as well as a very rare 2016 showroom kept Z4 35I M with 20,000 miles on it. Eventhough the 2020 has newer technology and a lot more toys, I chose the 2016 hard top convertible. It is the coolest sharpest looking M on the road. I also use this as my daily drive vehicle and I liked the hard top vs rag top. Sure I wish it has some of the new toys, but this car looks and acts showroom new and everyone stares at it and loves it. No one knows my car is 4 years old. The previous owner literally kept it as an art piece. besides,,,, it's an M. If you don't get an M, don't get a BMW.
I'm from the United States and we are the outliers in our pronunciation of the letter Z. The rest of the Anglophone world pronounces it exactly the way you do, as you likely know. While you may be educating some of us Americans, you absolutely are under no obligation to! Price gap between 30i and 40i is huge. I personally would rather get the 30i for a lot less money and it is lighter meaning better handling and easier to place the nose around bends. Get it a remapped it will make similar power as 40i.
@@borinvlogs your post has some validity, but unless you up it with the m performance package, its just perfume on a pig....I own the M40i and it makes a difference..

A european car is to look refined...like something James Bond could look at home in. This is a two seat roadster with no risks in the design...
Yes too fucking expensive. It makes no sense to me. The m40i with a couple of upgrades goes over 70k this is m4 price point. You can get the fully loaded m2 comp with very little option checked in and it’s like 68K. A way better buy.
And no manual option too. Totally sucks, to me it makes more sense to have a manual option in a Roadster than in a full blast sports like the m series.
You DON’T need to carry a bottle of water around with you! Until the marketeers deemed it a necessary accessory we survived only so well with out it. Now the world is over if you don’t leave home without a plastic (wash my mouth out - reusable plastic!!) bottle.
That is the worst cup holder placement I have ever seen. Garbage a German engineering. They should make a electric version of this, otherwise looks worse than prior generation.
