You shouldn't apply adhesive entirely to the edge. If it dries before you removing the clips, they are difficult to remove and the wire will often break! I remove them the next morning. If you use fast drying quick set you need to remove the clips sooner.
I used these they are really good jist make sure you remove them before the adhesive sets or they brake.
