This is not really practical but can you play Namco System 357 on modded ps3 ? System 357 is just stripped down ps3 hardware.
Probably possible, but I don't know about it.
i have another question can you launch classic ps2 games using multiman insted of webman
I've personally never gotten it to work, then better methods came out so I never went back.
@@MrMario2011 me to i just installed web man it’s also faster to load the game bk u don’t need to open mmcm so thx for the tutorial I was unable to copy the game from the disc but made it from my pc so thx u
Hi Mr Mario, great video, do you think you could help me out though? I am trying to put other peoples game saves from PS2 games onto my PS3 which can now run the PS2 games. when I put the PS2 saves onto my virtual memory card it accepts them doesn’t say that the data is corrupt or anything but when I load the game game it just doesn’t even see that there’s a game there? Any help would be fantastic please
yeah I signed up for psn, loaded up the pkg and still get the stupid copyright protection invalid error. 🙄
Signing up doesn't do anything, you need to ACTIVATE the console.
@@MrMario2011 thanks
When I load up the game and get ready to play it the signal is lost On my TV every time any idea why?
Your TV might not support lower resolutions over HDMI
@@MrMario2011 it weird because it’s a 2019 Samsung 4K TV
Im getting an issue where when I load ps2 classic placeholder it says that the copyright protection information is invalid what’s the fix?
have same trouble
I've done everything but thr game don't work I enter the ps2 placeholder and it just resets back to xmb
Delete the save data and placeholder, reinstall them, mount game, try again.
@@MrMario2011 do I have to activate the ps3 using apollo save tool or activating it from the xmb is enough
Which is the advantage of doing it this way isntead of converting the iso to pkg and then installing it?
Easier to set up a configuration, and some people prefer it.
So want to do this ,but just one question. I got lots of music and home vids on mine, are all my vids and tunes all still going to remain in my ps3 after I do this. Thanks n great vid.
This would not involve your media.
I’m really confused, if I have a CECHB01 model PS3 that has the PS2 chip, what steps can I ignore to be able to store my PS2 games on it, and play from the PS2 hardware?
No point to following this if you have CFW
I was hoping to digitize my library 😢
I have a question: I own a PS3 BC fat CECHC (OG model with PS2 chips in it). If I run PS2 games in any other way than inserting the PS2 discs in, will the games run emulated like any other PS3? Or will it know that it's a BC PS3 and use the special PS2 chips in it?
It will be hardware emulation if you mount them through something like webMAN MOD.
you don't actually need the same name for the file, the naming is redundant; you just need the extension to end w/ .BIN.ENC
i tried this out w/ midnight club 3 dub edition remix b/c for some reason MM failed to name the disk for me when i inserted it
make sure you include game id in parethesis if you want to patch it ps2 config patches, fixed nfs u2 frame issues
@@sacman111I downloaded the same game but every time I try to boot it up on the placeholder it doesn’t work, any ideas to how to get the game to run ?
Hey, i'm trying to run the ps2 port of half life blue-shift but it doesnt work.
Could you make a tutorial on that?
I don't plan to.
Im tempted to pick Up a superslim because of the power consumption, but what would i be missing without the cfw? What features?
CFW is more stable, active on coldboot, also allows full console control with options like converting to DEX.
After installing the webmen mod installer, im not able to start the multiman anymore :( do you know why and what to do?
Solution: usb port of ps3 musnt be used, then it works 😢😅 i dont know why but seems to be a bug
I still cant save in Bully
I did all the steps and i dont have any memory cards but it doesnt work.
Can someone help PLEASE.
Delete the placeholder app and accompanying save data with it, then reinstall it.
Hello Mario! I can't install PS2 Classics Placeholder. After running its pkg, nothing appears on XMB. How come?
It's there if installed.
@@MrMario2011 I dunno. I get the installation confirm but I can't see anything related in the games section of xmb. It's weird...
I dont know what Im doing wrong for the life of me even did it with a ps2 copy of Black and still wont work. followed all steps, at least to the best of my abilities hahah.
Running gta san Andreas showing blackscreen???
O k so everything works except my ps2 game runs like craps sometimes and I don't know how to fix that
And you mention something about your PS3 being connected to the internet, so it already downloads the most up-to-date config file. How do I do that and make it download the disk image and all that
That's just PS2
Appreciate your help. I got my PS2 still with the CRT right next to my main T.V.So I think I'll use that you the man tho @MrMario2011
Will there be a video on how to do it for Evilnatt CEX?
Already covered videos on it for CFW
I need help with something I have backwards compatible ps3 that has lost its backwards compatability its ripping the ps2 isos correctly and even reads dvds correctly but ps2 classics or ps2 games of any kind for that matter result in a hard lock on my ps3 both the wifi and hdd indiciator go off and the screen stays black and pressing any buttons on the system does nothing if the ps2 hardware in my unit is dead is there a way to overide it so the console can load ps2 games and the model is a CECHE01
There's no reason to do this on a backwards compatible PS3, just use CFW.
@@MrMario2011 Thank you for your input but im still lost on why my backwards compatable unit cant load PS2 software of anykind without locking up
Can we do the same process to PS1 games? if yes are the saves still saved on the same VMC?

Hello! so for some reason when I boot up a ps2 game like NFSMW my ps3 fans go crazy and the thing turns off by itself. it can run much smaller games tho, is there anything I can do to help it? Please and thank you (I have done every step in your tutorial correctly so it can’t be that)
do you have webman
Do I follow this for wanting to backup PS2 games on a PS3 running full CFW?
Follow my webMAN MOD ISO video for that.
I wait so long to Load and it din’t come
Whenever I try to rip my ps2 game using multiman, it gives me an error as if it can’t read the sectors at all (I’m using a PS3 Super Slim). Is there a way around this?
When I ran into that I personally had to restart my system and try to eject and refresh the disc a few times.
@@MrMario2011
It worked! Thank you so much!
This isn’t working for me, it doesn’t even show the name of the ps2 game, just “PlayStation 2 disc” any other solutions?
Resident evil 4 Arabic edition !!, are you Arabian ?
Habibi
whenever i try and create and ISO of my ps2 games it always comes up with an error saying it's got a problem with accessing the data is there a fix to this?
That happened to me. Try to restart the console, eject the disc, reinsert it, refresh, a combination of those should help.
@@MrMario2011 i’ll try that thank you
@@MrMario2011 doesn't seem to be working do you think i need to reinstall my webman?
Have you figured it out yet ?
@@jaydenrios5504 nah i couldn’t do it i’m probably just gonna go buy a ps2
is it a must to covert the .iso game into a .bin.enc game? or can we leave it as a .iso file
Required for PS3HEN
@@MrMario2011 thanks man. also found a way to edit save files too!!
@@MrKallas How do you edit save files?
can't you encrypt ps2 iso on apollo save tool in user tools?
Yep, that's an alternative, but kept it to less apps here since multiMAN allows for ripping, transferring, and encrypting all in one app.
Thank you so much!!!
You're welcome!
I can't load the memory card
It's just saying plugin your memory card of ps2
BTW I am playing God hand ps2 game
Yes thanks bro it works but I can’t save my games it says I have no memory card

Transfer them via FTP or USB if you back then up on PC!
