I still remember playing the Sea Fortress mission as a kid, and it always touches my heart when they get to the part where Eagle realizes that Hawke has been preparing for their arrival and has setup a formidable defense. As Eagle contemplates retreating one of his soldiers steps up and reassures him that theyre willing to go through with the attack despite the obvious heavy losses they will receive. Its just a really touching moment for me in a really enjoyable game I played as a kid.
They fought for a good country and CO, or else that wouldn't be the reaction. Really touching

Looking back I think it even had an effect on Hawke, he never again purposely challenges Eagle, The other Eagle mandatory Green Earth mission he avoids himself and instead delegates to all three previous Black Hole CO's. More amusingly the entire volcano mission happened as an effort to AVOID Eagle lol. Which makes sense, I've seen better players than I purposely sacrifice a few units to insure that Eagle gets his Super CO power first. By the time Hawke can actually use his super he's basically only got a couple of anti-airs and cannons left.
@@leoneldiaz78 Looking back at AW Dual Strike, I usually just try the intended combo mostly to read the secret dialogues between COs. The Final Mission, I used Eagle and Sami, I didn't really expect that Eagle planned to retire.
@@nightday2030 That wasn't what Sami meant. "I'm two weeks from retirement" is a common death flag trope and so is the "Promise me (something) if I don't make it" thing Eagle was about to start off with. So Sami was like "Alright, I'm shutting you up right now cause we aren't dying today"
I used to think Eagle was just a recolor of Lance, the legendary Dragonite spammer.
And he is, sorta! Just instead of running your shit with chunky dragons, he runs your shit with *SEVERAL JETS OH GOD HELP IT'S RAINING BOMBS*
Instead of chunky dragons, Eagle uses chunky bombers.
Like a bird of prey: strike fast, strike from above, be relentless and agressive, and your mobility is your main defense. No wonder I like air unit specilalists.
Cant wait for the part of the story where Eagle says "King Dragon sends his regards" and then shoots Andy

the entire remix is just gold but yes one of the best from the new ones.
I like original one more lol. Here all the good parts get too much drowned by bop bop bop. Original has better balance, very melodic and chill, BHR that is. It's only boring unless you have a chill enough mood. What really glows up is his Power theme however.
For me biggest glow ups in Re-Boot are Olaf, Flak, Adder, Lash, but not to say their original themes were bad. Even when his DS theme was my most favorite one, Adder's Power theme now is just insane...
Totally. The original sounded really doofy. Like, it struck me as the kind of theme that should have gone to a joke character. This one actually sounds pretty badass.
Bro all they needed to do was go hard on the bass and I'm glad they did that and more

Everyone dislike's the CO Cards for Green Earth but I like it

They’re neat, I just wish reading the (S)COP was more like DS. Also the cards kinda lack some of the individuality that CO cards had in DS, chiefly the then-Yellow Comet and Green Earth.
It makes sense they're generally the most serious faction.
Orange star has "what's a strategy/airport" Andy and the short tempered max.
Blue moon has the stubborn mule thaf is Olaf, the painfully laid back Grit and inexperienced self-esteem lacking newbie in Colin.
Gold comet has Sonja hard carrying her dad while Sensei is pretty eccentric and just wants to retire.
Meanwhile all of green earth seem to at least generally have a good head on their shoulders. Even Drake takes his duties seriously and having a good time doing it.

Oh my God I used to think this theme was so boring on thr originals, but this remix revamped it to a whole different level! Now it is so damn awesome :D
The new guitar solos are so insanely good, especially the part before it loops. So wonderful :)

NGL, I was looking forward to what RBC could do with Eagle’s theme the most since, and I might get some flack for saying this, I kinda thought Eagle’s theme in OG AW and DS was kinda plain compared to all the other COs. They had a lot of fun with the guitars this time around.
Also did they change how Power Meters fill? 6 stars seems really cheap for Lightning Strike, and last I checked, Victory March still costs 8 or 9 stars per FatGuy’s Lash Out footage.
Its 6 stars ON TOP of the 3 for the power. 9 total.
@@SPONGCHAO I see. That’s a really weird way to show it though considering how they established these wallpapers/cards in DS. It’s not like Jake’s Block Rock costs an additional 6 stars on top of Beat Down’s 3.
Also as someone else pointed out, Jess’s card follows DS’s cards/wallpapers in how they show COP costs, so I don’t get why Eagle’s is so different in this regard.
I think the stars are just a shorthand for power and super power. The Drake Wallpaper uses the same number of starts even though powerset is 4/3.
@@Ultima2343 Looking at Drake’s card now, I understand it better. It’s just coincidental that Jess’s card happens to have the star requirements exactly. Still kinda strange to me that they would toss out how DS showed it when that one was more straight forward, but I guess it makes each nation’s cards more uniform (though I liked how distinct the Yellow/Gold Comet and Green Earth cards were, reflecting each CO’s individual strengths/specialties).
@@Rexaura888I think the reason they did this was to make Black Hole Rising and Super CO Powers more obscured. Since Jess is in the second game only, they show it.
