If you come to Medellin for a few months strictly as a high earning digital nomad then the price for that apartment might be worth it. It really is a spectacular balcony. If you plan to remain here longer term you can do much better on the rent. I rented an unfurnished 2/2 with a small balcony but similar spectacular view in Laureles. We have a 24 hour doorman. I bought my own furniture and rent out my parking space to the company next door. Due to the most favorable exchange rate for hard currency my rent runs me under USD 500 including utilities, internet and cell phone. I've met digital nomads here who earn in hard currency but not nearly as much as Haley. It's possible to make it here on a LOT less. Haley went first class, top of the line.

Colombian here. 😮 that’s a real gringo price. That’s more than my monthly expenses/ budget with a empleada and I’m still paying car insurance in the US. Beautiful balcony though.
Colombia has turned out to be a favorite for innumerable expats seeking a decent quality of life at low costs. Most of its cities are welcoming enough with adequate social activities, comfortable climate, and much more.
Sorry..... Are you kidding?? Envigado is the cheapest out of the 3 places you mentioned. LMFAO Poblado is the most expensive, then Laureles, the Envigado. Where are you getting this information? It is not accurate
Colombia is far from safe especially in the popular tourist areas like Poblado. Envigado is the cheapest to live not the other way around. A UA-camr was shot 4 times a few weeks ago and another one killed in January. $2300 a month ...I know you overpaid unfortunately. You use Airbnb for a short time and then negotiate privately with the owner

Nice video. Medellin has really 2 metro lines, which are also connected to a special bus system (Metroplus) and to some cable car lines (Metrocable) that are part of the same transport system, there is one of them that’s touristic and takes you out of the city to a natural park called Parque Arví, where you can plan nice hikes around the forest.
