The people who keep saying “Trade Russ” must have forgotten he has a No Trade Clause in his deal with the Steelers. There’s very few trades that would be worth trading Russ anyways.

I agree with you. Most Steeler fans are dumb and won't be able to put their mind where and what you're saying. If Fields was hurt, Kyle Allen would lose Pitysburgh every game he starts. It would be MIA. People would lose their minds seeing Kyle Allen.
So you're right, outside of the trade clause. It would be a huge mistake even if Russ agreed to the trade.

Russ could win the Superbowl for us. We don’t know if Justin stays healthy through the end of the year. I hope Russ is mentally and emotionally good with the current situation.
Actually I have a touch of the flu, so I don't feel all that well. But I'm sure I'll make a comeback by Sunday for Indianapolis.
I was very closed minded when the Steelers started Fields. I do not like running Quarterbacks. I call them the third running back. I have seen that if they don't get over just tucking the ball and running, to becoming a pocket passer. They get injured a lot. You can't win consistently in this league without your #1 QB. He, Justin, has shown me more. I believe he has potential to learn to be a true pocket passer, and have the ability to run when needed.
JF2 hit Muth, CAIII and Pickens over the Middle several times. We haven't had that since 2020 Big Ben! ANd JF2 is deadly accurate on the Deep Ball even more accurate than Big Ben. He has shown Growth in reading the Defense with his legs being as dangerous as LJ8. I don't like Running QB's either, but I do like When they go through their progressions and nobody is open and they escape the pocket and get a 15 -20 yard gain. JF2 has that ability and that potential will be deflating for opposing defense. No design runs unless it near the goalinge like this week against the Chargers.
hypothetically speaking, if Russ or a QB of Russ' caliber is a healthy backup i would let JF2 run wild (provided he tries to protect himself), go RPO often and it would also open up GP14 deep...... the ceiling would be Kapernick in his SB year and the floor would be more than enough with our D

I understand about Fields, but the team has still only produced 3 touchdowns in 3 games. Boswell has kicked 10 field goals. The defense is giving up less than 9 ppg. The offense is at 17 ppg (19 if you wanna add the Najee TD 🙄) Fields is doing ok. But I'm almost certain that they'd perform much better with Wilson in the line up.
Steelers have beaten the Raven 7 of 8 with three seasonal sweeps, the only lost was a Mitch Trubisky 3 INT"s in the Redzone 16 -14. Not worried about the Ravens!

Not to get ahead of the Colts but I think we're catching Dallas at the right time, their a train wreck so far.
*Seems to me the coaching is better in the NFC. We know the best of the QBs are in the AFC, but the AFC also has more talent in general. All i can come to is coaching. Idk*

We should have got him under contract for the next 2-3 years cheaper than he will be after the season worse case could of been the back up if you signed him cheaper

Speaking of stinky offenses Matt, Steelers haven’t dropped a 40 burger in nearly 6 years. Does that change this year? It’s not looking good!
Why do we need to score 40 points?
24 pts a week wins every game with this defense. Most they'd need to score is 36 to beat KC on XMas.
