Amazing video that isn’t 20 minutes long of explaining what you are going to do before you actually do it - this was short & sweet & to the point and I’m gonna be trying your technique soon! Thanks so much for the amazing video & tips! Really appreciate it cause it took me forever to find a decent video to show me this technique without bleach on dark hair
I just watched like 20 videos on how to ombre hair at home and none of them where as informative as yours or as easy as yours ! I wish I would of found this video the very first time and it would of saved me a lot of hastle lol I definitely think I could ombre it myself now with confidence :) thank you for your video!
Harmony Ravizee it's funny you say that because my daughter is exactly the reason I'm watching this! Lol! Deepa Berar, great tutorial! I use the After Color Treatment by Ion (color brilliance) that should still be ok, right?
I am curious,..this looks so beautiful and you are very informative ,..I like your voice too,...so many tutorials are done by girls with such annoying voices. You are articulate and did this very well. Ok My question,..I looked over your other videos, and it seems you didn't keep this red ombre look,..why?? Was it to hard to keep up??
So I kept the hair color I would say for about 2 years in total but just needed a change which is why I've been going more blond lately. However, L'oreal does have a new blond ombre highlight kit almost identical to the one I used in the video so you can still use the same technique :) And thanks for the compliment btw!!
Hi. Your "before" hair is the same as mine and I want to do a darker red. Any suggestions on what brand/shade of box dye I could use? You did an amazing job. Cheers! :)
This video is so helpful. I am so happy that I don't need to spend $200 everytime I want to dye my hair but at the same time don't want to use the box dyes. Thank you.
I love this tutorial..... I have always wanted to do a red ombre colouring..... But my mom never lets me and she says when u go to college u can do it ....... But i love this technique ....... Today only I started to watch ur channel ..... I love u and I love ir accent ...... I subscribed
Your video was so helpful! This was the first time I used anything but boxed dye and first time doing an ombre look. My hair is pretty resistant to dye so my ends did not come out super bright (next time I may bleach before hand but I got nervous!), but I got a good subtle blended look so I'm very happy.
Thanks for the great video! SO many of these types of videos are sooooo long! You kept it short, interesting, informative & your hair looks great! Beautiful hair, beautiful you! Cheers!
You did a Phenomenal job doing your hair! I also do my own mostly and am not nor never been a hair stylist, colorist either . I just learned by doing my hair over the years and when I’ve gone to get it colored . 👏 Great job! Your so beautiful too.I’m about to do ombré with black and red myself 😀
I’ll have to try this! Since I’m getting my hair dye today because I ruined my ombré look before so now I’m looking at different techniques and yours looks soo easy!
omg i love this ive been wanting to dye my hair red and this is a great color thx soo much now i can tell me mom and btw you are so awesome and your hair is too
These tips help a lot! My mom is dying my hair next week and she always leaves patches or uses too much/little dye :/ So when I show her this video hopefully my hair will look as gorgeous as yours!:)
It is permanent but all red dyes wash out eventually. What's left is like a brownish red. I wash it with cold water to prevent the color from fading quickly.
theres bleach in the white thingy. so it think its didnt need it because your hair is painted, just try it, but maybe its becomes greeny because you have black painted, but yeah idk
Harpinder Thiara It really depends on what level of red you're trying to achieve. You will most likely need to bleach it. My hair is naturally dark brown, almost black color, and I bleach it before putting red on.
How did you choose which pieces to color? From the video it looks like you colored each chunk of hair in smaller sections but did you also leave some sections undied?
Alright. So this doesn't seem too difficult.... I hope. I'm going to attempt this method when doing my hair tomorrow. I will give you an update on how it goes!
Great diy video. I love that color red. I'm already red but been considering going a deeper, more vibrant red. Thinking this ombre effect would be nice.
Great video! I have really dark hair like you & I've been wanting to ombre my hair red more towards the bottom instead of all over highlights for summer especially since I'll be going to Hawaii in May :)
My hair is exactly the same but purple tips i did it myself. The bleaching of the hair is the most tiring part. But with pigmented hairnits a must to lighten it so the color comes through later. Saved a ton of money doing it myself
I have a question, did you have to bleach your hair or is it not necessary? I really want to do this but I alredy bleach my hair once and that part is all damaged...
I went to a famous salon and asked for an ombre red. I had black virgin hair, they did the job but unfortunately the color didnt show up nicely! Also I asked the artist to leave alternate strips of hair black and do ombre on the rest. But now since the color is not that vibrant i want to retouch. Can i do this procedure on my hair? Its been 2 weeks since I went the salon.
How did you wash it out at the end? Did you use shampoo and conditioner or just conditioner? P.S it looks amazing and I've ordered my stuff and it's on the way! Can't wait to do it xx
really amazed at your result !! i really want to do mine i have normal ombre in my hair, so my hair is very light blonde a the bottom , any suggestions or advice on mine for when i do it?
Well the dye I got is for dark hair but when I first started doing it I had blond ombré as well and it worked although mine wasn't super light. Maybe ask the ladies at Sally's when you go to but it.
hair looks gorgeous! just wish you would have mentioned that your hair started off a much lighter color which is why the red was so vibrant. yeah.... this box color looked more auburn/burgundy than true red like yours
I have a question for you-There is one thing I do not understand. If the L'oreal Hicoolor Highlights are for dark hair - I realize it can be re -used on a root touch up. But if one is doing a ombre such as what you have done in this video, then when the red runs,...and we all know it will run and fade,..THEN WHAT DO WE USE? I mean if the magenta is for dark hair. And L'real says it is for virgin hair,..then how can you revitalize your ombre in a few washings when it runs out? you can't use this stuff again right? You need dark hair to use it...and you wouldn't want t keep applying the 30 volume developer each time you refresh the color? what do you do??
Vastasia Cortes Ok I went and checked out bodmon zaid -she is using color brilliance, not Loreal High color. I need to know how Depa Baera brings the color through ...I mean Lorel High clor is for virgin dark hair,..so it can be used on your roots yes,..but how do you bring it through when t only works on dark hair and the hair is already will be colored from the first go at iit...it dont make sense.
Grace Conzo Stovall The loreal highcolor highlights also works on non virgin hair not just virgin hair i have used the loreal hicolor highlights before on previously dyed hair but bodmonzaid also has a video where she does her hair with the hicolor highlighs she has two different videos.
you can't keep using a bleaching product on your hair each time you need a touch up. If you got a particular color from using the 30 developer and color initially on brown hair to use it again on a already red faded color will never achieve the same initial results. , when it fades you cant keep using the high color it is a lightening formula, and it works best on natural hair it will make you lighter and lighter and damage your hair. I just discovered tonight This is why most people don't remain red, they all go back to brunette,..I was hoping she had used another color to maintain the touch ups but she too went brunette again.I am sad I been searching videos all night
Hi ya I would like to say I am very impressed your hair looks immaculate sweetie I really love it but I just one question to ask if I may I already got my hair dyed ombré blond but is it possible to achieve your hair colour dye red without using any bleach before I dye it red or do I have to bleach first then after dye it red pls .Many thanks in advance 😊
I don’t have many sections of hair (it’s very thin), so would 2 be good? Also, should I lighten my tips before this process? Yours just seem lighter at the start of the video then the rest of your hair.
It really depends on your hair color if your hair is ok the darker side I recommend lightening it but if you really don’t think you don’t need to then you don’t have to if you really not sure do a test strip on the underside of your hair and decide off that. Also I’m guessing two should be good it depends on what’s comfortable and what you think it needs
doesn't matter you're not a proffesional hairstylist, you're doing great and we love it :)
+Lilith thank you!! You're so kind :)

+Deepa Berar and its pretty its like . u went to salon I like the color
Thank you :)

I loved this! That's the perfect shade of red. I'm doing this today 😍
Your hair looks amazing I was thinking about going to a salon to get this done but after watching your video I know I can do this myself
Do you have a "touch up" vid? Same process or do you use a lower developer?
You are absolutely excellent in explaining everything in simple, but detailed steps. You are very impressive lady, sister 💖
You did such a good job and made it look so easy! Looks amazing😻
I just used your technique and it worked great thank you for this simple step by step video! You're beautiful and you did a perfect job. ☺

This video is so helpful. I am so happy that I don't need to spend $200 everytime I want to dye my hair but at the same time don't want to use the box dyes. Thank you.
Wow .. This is the most simplest DIY Ombré hair method I have seen .. Much love :*

Did you bleach/lighten the ends first?
I love your technique , I'm definitely doing this myself tomorrow . Keep up the good work ☺️😘
Love this video so much. Right to the point and easy to follow.
For how long it lasts?
Great colour. Thanks for the short, to the point video.
I’ll have to try this! Since I’m getting my hair dye today because I ruined my ombré look before so now I’m looking at different techniques and yours looks soo easy!

THIS IS REALLY PRETTY
+Sharon H thank you!! 😘
hello, how long does l'oreal highlight magenta last ? And is it permanent?
It is permanent but all red dyes wash out eventually. What's left is like a brownish red. I wash it with cold water to prevent the color from fading quickly.
ok thanks!
love it! I'm going to do mine medium brown
hi i did my bottom hair brown and had to bleach it. now ive dyed it black. do i have to bleach again or will the red just go on the hair
theres bleach in the white thingy. so it think its didnt need it because your hair is painted, just try it, but maybe its becomes greeny because you have black painted, but yeah idk
Harpinder Thiara It really depends on what level of red you're trying to achieve. You will most likely need to bleach it. My hair is naturally dark brown, almost black color, and I bleach it before putting red on.
your hair is goals!!!!!
:)
You seem to be professional though.
I tried colouring my hair and the outcome was great . loved your video.
Hey, which colour did you use?
I used majicontrast from loreal, it has vibrant colours
+SHIVANI SINGH just a quick question, is it available in India?
Yes
your hair is so simular to my hair!! OMG we rock!
+Kimberley Barboza :)
Do you color your crown aka grey hair brown first and then do the ombré another day?
How did you choose which pieces to color? From the video it looks like you colored each chunk of hair in smaller sections but did you also leave some sections undied?
Alright. So this doesn't seem too difficult.... I hope. I'm going to attempt this method when doing my hair tomorrow. I will give you an update on how it goes!
how did it go?
It went really well.
I have a short hair so will that make my work easier?
Your hair is gorgeous!!!!!
I have a question.. The second time around that I dye it like this should I be using the 30 or 20 developer?
Do we need to bleach parts of or hair before we put color? And btw you did amaziing I love it❤❤
Great diy video. I love that color red. I'm already red but been considering going a deeper, more vibrant red. Thinking this ombre effect would be nice.
Can we do it without bleaching our hair? Will color be the exactly same??
I love your hair! beautiful
Wow what a fabulous idea (good job)
Would it be possible to do this with just box dye and no developer?
Great video! I have really dark hair like you & I've been wanting to ombre my hair red more towards the bottom instead of all over highlights for summer especially since I'll be going to Hawaii in May :)
Your hair looks Awesome:)
How often can you use the L'oreal Hicolor Hilights?
My hair is exactly the same but purple tips i did it myself. The bleaching of the hair is the most tiring part. But with pigmented hairnits a must to lighten it so the color comes through later. Saved a ton of money doing it myself
hi what happens if my hair color is dark brown??? Can I use that color ? thanks
DO you have any tips for dying your hair in an ombre from red to purple?
Wow😍😍😍 i love your hair
When you use the semi permanent dye and conditioner, if it rains/if the hair gets wet, will the colour bleed?
Mem mere bal phle se hi clr h but muje clr chng krna h to kya m direct colour use kru ya fir blonder powder use krne k bd
I have a question, did you have to bleach your hair or is it not necessary? I really want to do this but I alredy bleach my hair once and that part is all damaged...
Same maine apke jaise krwaye aj hair colour but apne blonder pawoder use nh kiya develper me bs itna fark h👌👌👌

Will this work on blonde hair and even if I don't use these exact dyes?
Thanks for sharing. It was very helpful. Gonna try it soon 🌸
Is it Compelsery to bleach my hair to color them red or I should put red hair color on my natural brown color
You have made it so easy to do ombre at home...thank youu!!
Wow I love your hair!! How long does the color last you?
I have natural red hair, do you think this will work on my hair?
would love to see a hair care routine video
This is so pretty
Yo, this “30 volume developer” is okay with all hair types?
Can we use any developer?
How did you wash it out at the end? Did you use shampoo and conditioner or just conditioner?
P.S it looks amazing and I've ordered my stuff and it's on the way! Can't wait to do it xx
hi loved ths video, m gonna try ths out. cud u do a video on highlights n lowlights as well
Can I use any hair developer??
Wht brand was the orange ish color??
i have a question, how long does the hair color last?
Emily Lo 2 years approximately
+ Serah Marano lmao, what no
Emily Lo 2 months
depends if you wash it in cold or warm water girl. If you want to keep that red use cold water
Then there’s mine that lasted 3 weeks when I payed £100😭😭never going salon again lol
really amazed at your result !! i really want to do mine i have normal ombre in my hair, so my hair is very light blonde a the bottom , any suggestions or advice on mine for when i do it?

hair looks gorgeous! just wish you would have mentioned that your hair started off a much lighter color which is why the red was so vibrant. yeah.... this box color looked more auburn/burgundy than true red like yours
It actually ends up looking more vibrant the more you do it. I've done it 4 times now and each time it gets brighter.
