Idk i'm getting more and more in the camp of "old games good" or at least the era we grew up in was at highest growth spurt, one banger game after another year in year out. Also Revenge is the best Burnout game can't change my mind.
Just came in to say, that I freaking love this game and I agree with everything you say because I think the same and that's the only thing that matters.
I got burnout revenge for Christmas once. I had no wishes for Christmas and just wanted nothing. So my mother bought me this racing game. Never had a racing game before, I always played the used Zelda games of my brother, who got them for Christmas or his birthday, played them until the first dungeon and threw them on his pile of shame. I first thought "ok... burnout revenge... so be it then...". I thought, this would be boring, but hell was I wrong. The score was awesome, really fast, grungey and classic metal/punk from the early 2000s. I loved it. Then the gameplay. It was hard, at first I crashed with everything, because I was not used to a game, where nearly everything is destroyable and your car is a fragile piece of glass, that needs to hit everything in the right way. But damn, after a few hours, I got it. And the lust for speed kicked. This game is fast. Really fast. You had to learn the tracks, to master them and this game was perfect in teaching you the parts of the tracks, you need to be aware of. And the destruction.... it felt like salted caramel sauce, warm and cozy. Allt those explosions and chaos. I didn't knew, that I needed this. I didn't knew, that I desired to cause other pixels so much pain. I don't know, who sold my mother this game at the local game store, but this dude knew me well. And he knew well, what game I needed the most in this moment of puberty teenage sorrow. Burnout revenge was a bliss. Racing never came close again. I played NfS afterwards, GT, Forza. I like Forza Horizon. But never ever had I so much fun with a racer, like burnout revenge. It's sad, they don't make those kind of games these days anymore. I think, a little bit of digital chaos and destruction could be the right thing for our youth today.
in the Burnout fandom theres is generally a school of thought that depending on which of the 3 games you like in the burnout series you can find out allot of said person: Burnout 2: You enjoy racing, ducking and weaving through traffic and aren't too fond of wrecking house you are quite good at maneuvering your car right until someone wants you gone from the road and are quite hard to catch in races. Burnout 3: You have a more Duelist aditude to the takedowns perfectly willing to spar and fight but focusing more on clever maneuvering and outplaying the opponent, this makes you incredibly infuriating to Takedown yourself due to your capability of manoeuvring out of a crash situation. Burnout Revenge: You are incredibly intense ready and willing to lay a path of destruction where ever you please, rationale be damned you will have your rampage and you'll enjoy every single minute of it.
you're right, i feel the exact way about burnout 3 takedown, traffic check really misses in that game, and the same to paradise, which launched after revenge but haven't that mechanic. burnout revenge is the best racing game ever.
Yeah burnout 3 is better because it's actually a challenge unlike revenge unfortunately Traffic check is fun for a little bit but it's not "more intense," it removed alot of the challenge being able to read end all the traffic, you didn't need to race smart at all
Hey Allan. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out so we can smoke weed and fill our bellies with DIET soda and play Burnout Revenge for the PS2
P.S Mister Landlord
@@AndresRodriguez-be6rmHe was a funny character

Without even watching the video. Title alone. Youre 100% correct
One of my all-time favorite videogames.
So is GoldenEye.
F**** goldeneye

You sir, are correct. I love Burnout Revenge.
I’ve beaten the game twice in my childhood and gotten to the last rank (Dominator?). Such a great game that is my favorite of all time
you're right, i feel the exact way about burnout 3 takedown, traffic check really misses in that game, and the same to paradise, which launched after revenge but haven't that mechanic.
burnout revenge is the best racing game ever.
Omg. I feel so validated. This is so true 👍
Real shit bro this game is goated
While I haven't played burnout revenge, I used to play the fuck out of burnout legends and dominator in my PSP. Good ass games
Find the game or get an emulator. I’m begging you. Life changing experience
I have wet dreams of BR2 being released some day 💔😔
Been waiting for a remaster for the series I mean they did good with paradise but I need the older versions
People dont understand they were the reason need for speed got so good...
Not better than 3, but way better than the shitty paradise.
Yeah burnout 3 is better because it's actually a challenge unlike revenge unfortunately

Nah it definitely is the best racing game
Me and me neighbor used to play rounds of crash for hours at a time
Crash is extremely fun, but slow. If you mess up you gotta wait like 30 seconds before you can try again
Dude is just trying to cash in on a smiling friends episode while saying nothing substantial. Good job though, the algorithm picked you.
What’s smiling friends?
Nah, Split Second definitely beats this game
i have to say i like takedown better
burnout 3 better
Burnout 3 better
