I met Brom years ago when I worked for Ral Partha at a Gen Con. Hes a really nice guy. Loved his artwork. Their was a Brom figure kit made a long time ago by Rafam. I think I may still have a copy somewhere. Was metal and very heavy. These look really nice in resin. Funny about Partents and the Hobby, My Mom has always been my biggest supporter in all this from when I was 14 to now at 59 :)

Man, working on that Golden demon entry really leveled up your painting. You seem to have a way better grasp of light, colors and values now. Great result again here!
I do love painting other models than GW stuff. 75mm is a great scale to learn and improve on. I also did a speedpainting competition a couple months ago and they gave us an orc bust to paint. I was never interested in busts, but after painting it, I am way more interested. You can concentrate on different parts of the models, It's such a nice change of pace!

I’m preparing to give a try with big model for the first time. In this video there were some really nice advices and also you painted it dark and I love it. One of the biggest advices so far was to use just couple paints to make model look more cohesive. That reminds me those color cubes you was presenting in other videos. Will have to try it also as I always struggle to pick color scheme and triad system from Army painter seemed always as a go to solution. But now you show that we dont need 6x6 paints, we need just 6 plus black and white.

It’s kinda funny that I’m doing sort of the reverse steps from big to small scale, but it’s definitely fun to see how techniques apply to both large and small scale.

This resonates with me. There is something satisfying about painting a larger figure. In my case the paint is more forgiving when it comes to blending or shading for a 72mm or higher than on a 32mm or 28mm. Also on a larger scale model you might not have so much pressure on yourself to paint more precisely because you have more freedom and space on a bigger mini. Long story short, just have fun with whatever you paint regardless of the size but do give larger minis a try if you never tried it.

The biggest problem of all kickstarter projects is the release date. Looking on these models I'd paint at leas half of them, but it's because I see the model and I'm greatly inspired at the moment. Sadly, while waiting for release, quite often fire in your heart goes down and you don't feel the same satisfaction as it was when you was motivated with pledging the campaign. The last model I've got in a such way was absolutely freaking awesome goblins gang that I had to wait for approximately for about half a year.
But, yes, this Mindwork line is really great. It gives life to fascinating models and allows us today to make heroes of our childhood to became more real than we could imagine about 20-30 years ago.

I started my painting journey a decade ago by painting board game models. Over the past 2 years I've discovered that I really like painting busts and li'l guys. I 3d print and get my busts from multiple places, but I really like Bite the Bullet for my li'l guys. I swear I'm not a shill, their models just have so much personality! If others here have some creators to suggest for "li'l guys" please comment them! I'm always on the look out for some silly little models that may get a smile out of others.
I find if I can't mentally picture a paint scheme for a model, it'll never get done; it almost never ends up as that exact scheme BUT I get paint on the model and then the model tells me how it really wants to be painted.
