How do you approach habits that only happen once a week or only on workdays while others are daily? I always struggle to build this kind of flexibility into the habit tracker

I think your calculations are incorrect. When you have just 1 day filled out and 100% of the habits completed, the total shouldn't be 50%, which is what it's showing currently. It should be 100%.

Great video! What do you suggest to do when I change the habits I track? Turn this into a template and update my habits each month, or is it possible to keep the same habits tracker? Different habits would need a new property - I guess this would turn into a mess with time! Is it possible to create an analytics view that grabs info from different monthly habits trackers?

@@prosaicpamela7466 I am no pro to Notion, but I would have just created a new "Habit Completion Rate" and gave it the Name of the month, e.g. "Habit Completion Rate Jan". From then on, I would rename the Daily Habits for the month as well to "Daily Habits Jan" and copy them to each day in Jan, just like Red did it in the video. This way you get a Analytics overview of each month. (I did this today for January and February).

Really great tutorial! One Question though: What if your habits change over time? I wonder if it is possible to use a habit-database with single habits that you later could add to a habit-tracker-database connecting to days or something like that. so you could change the habits on the go.

    Hi Red Gregory and community,
thank you for the free template. I was trying to modify it, so that I can also make a "habit completion rate" from for example the last 10 days of the calender.
I tried different solutions for example an extra formular property in your template to calculate dates or setting a filter in the table. Have you any tips concerning this idea or has someone here a similar problem with solutions?

Maybe through a formula that would count the boxes that were checked daily but that would turn to 0 again if you miss the habit one day. If it's possible it would help a lot to keep myself motivated🥲Thank you again!!🤍

First of all you did great job. Keep it up. You are absolutely awesome content that can helpful for productivity.
However, I have bit suggestion for that template. Kindly consider.
    Limitation :
    1. What if you make new habit in future then past of your data calculation may be wrong.
    2. What if you are removing habit that you want to discontinue then what happen with your past database. I mean perticular habit should have perticular start date and end date will be certain or infinite.
I hope it can be resolve with that template or in future.
    Warm Regards,
    Jinkalkumar Barevadiya.

This is amazing! And has taken me a long way towards what I'm trying to do.
Here's a question: I love how you use an Articles database related to the journal to count and automatically check the box.
Let's say I have a Content Creation database where I have different types of content - articles, blog posts, Tweets, FB posts, etc. Is there a way to track these separately? Like if I want to pull just "Articles"? Or do these different types of content need to be in separate databases in order to be tracked separately?
Another similar use case would be tracking exercise. You might have an exercise database and log yoga sessions and jogs, for example. So would you be able to track those separately in the same database?
I'm thinking you could name a Yoga session with Yoga in the title and then use some formula magic to count those? . . . Thanks!
Edit: I think I just figured it out! If I use a select property for the type of content or the type of workout, then I can use a formula for each type (if type = "yoga", true, else false) etc to count them out separately . . .

Hi there i noticed though that your way of calculating the total average for analysing the habits was a bit redundant seen as you've already done that formula work to calculate the daily progress bar. What i found was the easier method was instead to select the daily progress bar property like you've done with all the other habits, but because its already showing a percentage theres no option to show percent checked .˙. you just click show average (because it already is in a percentage) and it will show you the average of your daily progress bars (which already have the floor formula added to them still giving you a nice clean number)

Why is everyone doing rows with days and columns with habits. My brain does not work this way, I need days to be columns 🤷‍♂

I loved this template. the way I can see and check off all my habits of the day at a glance is convenient. although I cannot use it. because you can only see up to 5 habits. I have tried tweaking the view but I am unable to do so. can anyone help me out?

Hi! I was wondering how can i do it if i want to divide it by monthly completion rate and/or monthly performance? Because if we don't divide it january's performance data will be mixed with february performance data and so on and i'd like to divide it.
I was thinking on creating a filter for january and adding to each day and for february add a filter ''is not january'' so the data is excluded, but idk honestly

Hey How can I do this as I dont have to redo all this again for a new month? I dont want to Go through all these Rollups again and again for each month, how can I make it so that once I click a button its automatically synced with the new habit tracker for a new month, and theres a new completion table?
