Thanks for reviewing. If Tissot did a 37mm PRX I would probably buy the quartz. It is a shame Specht and Sohne didn't pay a bit more attention to the details on this, but the cheap looking dial is a definite deal breaker and the dodgy machining by the crown should never have left the factory!
Yeah definitely goldilocks sizing for me. I got a 37mm Seiko SNK 393 and it fits well. I'm liking that the industry in general is starting to go smaller.
Thanks for the review. Sometimes you show us a watch with surprising quality for the price, sometimes you take one for the team. For the price, it may be worth it to some, but at least no one’s going into it blind.
Thank you for your review. You have confirmed my own suspicions about it. I skip Pagani and this at the moment and will continue to do so. Something is only a bargain if it's used and this is the type I'd buy and end up not wearing...
I’m waiting on the ice blue of this 37mm model, I went with the 37 as I recently got their auto 37mm VC 222 homage and really liked the size for my 7.5” wrist. Hopefully I like this one. I have the PD 40mm PRX chronograph homage and find at 40mm it’s a bit large for me. Which I find funny because my 40mm Tsuyosa I think fits great🤷♂️
Thank you for this review, very enlightening. I ordered the ice blue 37mm nh35, for my 17 year old nephew, a week ago. His mother didnt allow me to get him a Tsuyosa🤦♂ I will size the bracelet, soften those sharp edges and maybe glue those screw pins at the end links. I will also take a good look at the hands and if needed, regulate the movement. I think that as a first mechanical watch and a beater, its alright.. Maybe for his 18th ill get him a Prx or a Tsuyosa or maybe ill just get him the best of all, the Certina Ds7..
@@The_Coffee_Rabbit_Hole I've heard Emory cloth is good for this...still need to be careful, but it'll at least take the super sharp edge off. Nail files work as well.
I have the same watch..it is flawed.. Apart from those mentioned in the review, the second hand counterbalance resembles the hour hand at first glance making reading the time hard at times.. Also, you can not remove the halflinks for sizing the bracelet because the full links do not fit on the clasp..it's not visible by eye, but sadly is a fact. I was lucky to get a great fit anyway. The best part is the case size..it is great for most wrists and makes you wonder why Tissot is not making it..I guess 41 and 35mm versions sales would drop hard if they would..
Interesting, I never needed to remove the half links, but that's a pretty big flaw for sure. Agree on the size...just perfect. They already got the money from the 41 and 35, release the 37 and profit! (Again)
I fancied their Santos homage, but any video I saw, the finishing looked rough as f*ck. And that one looks the same to me. I'd have to say I disagree that it's equivalent to Pagani Design - PD are way ahead on finishing. I know they're cheap, but S&S really have to up their game with quality control.
I've had like 4 prx homages so far, Pagani, Specht, Wwoor and Skmei. And if Skmei made it with a steel case it'd be the winner. Best looking dial most comfortable bracelet, good SII movement. It even had a good looking crystal. The worst (Value wise) is the Specht, while it looked the best it had so many little flaws that i find hard to recommend it too. Wwoor and Pagani are pretty close value wise.
@@mr.habibbi3158 the clasp didn't stay in place, the pin of the end link liked to slither out of its place, the half link is the only link compatible with the clasp, the counter balance of the seconds hand is almost the size of the hours hand. I don't know whether these are design flaws or QC issues.
I've been stalking the burgundy version, but the QC issues are disturbing. I also hate weak lume. I just saw another YT review, and it had a similar case flaw by the crown, and the color was not as shown. The problem by the crown seems to be far too common on review watches, but I've also found a quartz 37mm review watch that doesn't have the missing chunk. So this does seem to be a flaw, and not intentional.
Just don´t buy the sp0017. I have it, never ever worn it since new, because the fixed bezel es not aligned!! And since it is a special shape, it does look pretty ugly.
Me and my friends have a drinking game where we take a shot for every time you say "pretty good". Now he is dead of alcohol poisoning. Thanks for nothing Escape Wheel! 🤣 Seriously though I really appreciate all the variety of watch reviews you put up on your channel.
@@MrClassy1991 maybe straps designed for the PRX 35mm would work but I'm not sure...it's the problem with (cheap) integrated bracelet watches...you never want to wear the bracelet, but it's nearly impossible to find replacement straps...usually you have to cut standard straps to fit
Hello, Thank you for your very informative video. I was very tempted by their homage to the Santos de Cartier, but if I understand correctly you advise against this manufacturer? Thank you in advance for your response.
This was a great review and I think, for the price, this is a really great watch even considering some of the manufacture flaws. The PRX design was pushed a little too much in 2023 but like you said it was the watch of the year. For that reason, this style of watch just wasn't for me and I'm also not really a dress watch sort of guy which is kind of what this is in my mind. A sporty dress watch. Again, excellent review and over all this is a nice watch for the money.
What do you think the dial size of this watch is? If it’s a standard 28.5mm, at least a modder can swap to a better looking dial which might help with the watch.
Caviar wishes with cheap wine bank accounts, you get what you pay for...most of these watches cost what basic mod parts cost. Hell Tissot come with plastic parts in the movement. $77...cmon, get real, be glad it works. Can't get a bracelet for a Seiko for that
The thumbnail prepaired me for something harder, meaning some sanding on the under side of the bracelet and (possibly) another color dial make this kind of a burgain, right? Size/specs are right, price is right, looks are fine (for what it copies...) so why the hard hit before the review? Anyways, i'm still not sure i want a PRX copy (or any other integrated bracelet in fact), but if i decide to go for one, this could be it. Would get the quartz (easy peasy for me), but the flat dial and the weird texting make me more confused. Thanks for the review Steve, be well mate.
It's the sharp edges everywhere, the cheap (and completely misleading) dial/color, and the "major" QC issue of the hands hitting each other stopping the movement.
@@EscapeWheel That last one is a no-no indeed. Rest was (still is?) common place untill a year or two from Ali, no? Do we get spoiled?
