I think they attacked the omega just by making this thing bigger and more water resistant but they don't realize how horrible this thing is. I think the ultra deep is at least wearable instead of this watch. I prefer the Rolex Deepsea Challenge

They have a point - your phone does everything that a luxury watch can, and at a fraction of the price. But a well-designed watch with intricate workmanship is more than a simple timekeeping device. I do not know about you, but even though the Rolex Deepsea is also looking this beautiful, I would go for the Omega Seamaster, from my personal standpoint of course.

Omega wins here, as they have made a.wearable watch, ok so Rolex has better water resistance but what have they done so amazing? 60mm l2l and 23 mm thick ofcourse it will have better water resistance. Also the dial with huge chapter ring is ugly and a ridiculous price...one for Rolex investors or fanboys only.
Easy the master of the deep is Rolex, 11000m vs 6000 is almost double. But no human will never need more the a 700m at the moment. Is a cool flex by Rolex.
Went to see both on rue du Rhone here in Geneva. Omega definitely - I almost bought it but walked away - too thick for me, but the dial looks fabulous. The Rolex has on top of even more thickness a sloppy design. Simply not nice looking. A very poor performance by Rolex. If Omega keeps the design but downsizes the dimensions, I'll buy.
Thanks for showing just how utterly ridiculous the gigantic Rolex is on the skinny wrists of the blazer-wearing schoolboys in your video. I'm betting that not one of them could pick the watch up without a crane, and leaving it in the box and giving it a good polish is about all they can really do with it. My Rolex DSSD is on the limit for my almost 8" wrist, but the Rolex DS Challenge is a whole new ballgame. My money is on the Omega in steel.
