Well, you were right. A little pricey, but for someone cranking out injection products, the time you save for clamping, unclamping, and not having to do reruns for flashing failures would probably be cost effective pretty quickly. Enjoy the new toy! 😃

a t-handle allen wrench would make the loosening and tightening of the bolts much easier and faster

Glad to hear your better. Air clamps are amazing. I’ve made a couple for my work shop for my molds a couple years ago. Glad to see more people making them for the hobby.

That’s it, I’m inspired to build. Monday I’ll start machining myself an injector and trying to make some baits. LOVE THE FLUKES and the craws. But them speed worms were beautiful

Air clamps make things so much better I started using one almost a year ago and it made all the difference same with cooling plates they make my life so much easier

I need to make something like this for my garage. It would pair nicely with my pneumatic can crusher. To speed up adjustment of your back plane you can swap those bolts for thumbscrews. 8 is probably overkill if you ask me. What psi are you running that on?
80 is the default setting

My chiller plates work great. I have one plate built in to the vise and four others that I can put between the molds.

Have you tried using float plastic in core mold then in core use one that sinks for neutral bouancy? Or visa versa with plastic
I've seen this on a few other channels, and while cool looking, I don't do the volume of baits to need it. I did want to get your opinion on the Ultramolds Shooting Star, as the multiple ports to withdraw the plastisol and the holder really seems like it minimizes plastisol loss. Also, what are your feelings on using cooling plates between the molds to help the plastisol firm up faster?
It seems like the hobbyists are on the brink of an industrial revolution.
Well the shooting star is one of the oldest systems we have and to me it is still the best one. I have not used chill plates with actual injection molds yet, some of my production friends swear by them
PLEASE do a muskie or pike 6" or 4" hand pour, I would love to see that just like I watch and love all your other vids. Keep up the good work but it would be really cool if you did one of those designs!😊

I did something similar to the watermelon blue, subbing watermelon with green pumpkin and add blue highlight powder. Came out really nice looking.

I like your vdo so much, the bait design is very interesting. Unfortunately I have only Ultra Light stuff and I want to do the small bait (Ajing Bait). It has a mold that smaller than yours? Please give me your advice.

The cooling plate needs a cup holder for your drink also won't cooling down the aluminum mold too fast cause warping
Yes it can cause that especially in open pours.. it's like anything else it's all about timing and practice
How could I purchase some of these. Don’t really want to get into molding. Like to help a person that does though.
Does that system have a moisture trap in line or maybe its on your compressor? I work with pneumatics at work, moisture will destroy those pneumatic actuators. When air is compressed quite a bit of moisture falls out of it and if it builds up the air will push it inside the actuators. Id totally buy something like that but since its something I know extensively Im thinking of building my own.
That's a good question I have seen moisture traps on a few airbrush systems, I will definitely ask

Just have a couple of 2x4 pieces in the wings and add them when you need them. Hit the button and you never have to move the right side ever again. Nice machine.

Possibly but a hot griddle would be much more efficient

17:10 I have a question wouldn't it be easier to just stack extra molds behind the molds your going to use so you don't have to constantly be readjusting the machine to the right size and just cover the molds your not using so you don't accidentally fill them up just asking I was just a little curious about that.

I really love the slightly desaturated colors on the laminates. One of my pet peeves when I see people running plastics is they way over do the colors and their baits come out looking like crayons rather than lures. You don’t do that but I see it a lot from new guys.
especially with hand pours, oversaturation is the worst
To add more to the guy's comment about making the Musky/ Pike open pours,,please try to make them with a wire inside so we can add treble hooks

My good friend had covid19 and didn't even know till almost the end of having it. I worked with him every day during this and didn't catch it. Don't know how true the O blood type thing is but I do have O+ . but anyway covid is weird. Still havent met many people it hit hard.

You realize when you are clamping the narrow molds you can use one of your longer ones next to the clamp heads for a maximum clamping footprint.
Absolutely, but I wanted to show that the clamp was designed for you to fit smaller molds on both rails and still get coverage from the Pistons.
