I'm sure if you're shooting a mold that you know shoots best with colder plastic and a slow push that you can still get larger plugs...I found it to be extremely nice to know I didn't have to be in a hurry when pushing that many ports lol...
$400 for the injector kit send like a lot until you take into account the working time and the amount of plastic it holds and amount of molds you can shoot! Nailed it AGAIN Josh! I'll be ordering it 100%.
A couple of years ago after watching more than my share of these bait making videos, I made my own injectors and for the most part my DIY injectors have worked out like gang busters. Because I only make baits about every few months or so, I really don' have the practiced steady hand to do the creative laminant baits that Chris is able to do. In an effort to cheat myself to this skill level, I made a couple of much smaller hand-sized syringe-type injectors with onboard heaters in the form of soldering irons attached to the sides of them to keep the plastisol in a molten state for prolonged periods of time. This allows me to do the thin line color patterned baits that using my Pyrex cups to drip those patterns onto my baits, makes it impossible for me to do without a ton of practice. You should have your machinist friend make some of the type of smaller hand-held syringe type of injectors that I described. I no longer have my CNC mill and lathe so I can't make them anymore but, I still have and use all my DIY injectors to good effect whenever it comes time to make more soft-plastic baits. One other thing, in the form of a question: I know the purpose of lining the inside of your injectors with PTFE but, for those of us who already own the basic aluminum injector types, could simply lining the outsides of our existing injectors with a layer of PTFE give us the insulation needed to be able to keep the plastisol hot enough for a slightly longer duration injecting session? If so, you should consider making premade insulation tubes that can simply be slipped over the existing all aluminum injectors that you've already sold.
What an awesome idea. It's hard to break an old habit as I see you reach for the block every time instead of being able to grab just the tube. Excellent product and even delivered by the MAN.
Well i definitely appreciate you chris and josh. Your videos along with SDG, have got me into making.my owns baits full force. I just recently got the bass tackle dual setup and i had to order this without question. Guess i will be selling that other injector soon or just use them as singles along with the other 5 i bought. Lmao. Hope you have a safe and peaceful holiday. ✌️
Amazing you could fill that many ports and still have enough still able to flow into the full mold! That’s an awesome advantage in shooting baits! Killer job as usual Angling Ai🤙
lol. I was just opening my Amazon delivery containing heat shield insulation to wrap around my injectors and blending block when this video dropped! What a great injector system by AI. Glad you had the 50 degree day to showcase it. My bait making shop is in a basement in Maine with an open window for ventilation even in the winter. Always between 40 & 50 degrees. It’s a challenge!
@@WorldsWorstFishing Yes, last winter I built a wood insulating box around my blending block because the plastic set inside so fast. It worked but the AI system would be a huge upgrade.
Very clever! Plus, the material is naturally non-stick and slippery. All that's missing is a Teflon ring so the rod can slide smoothly along its axis, avoiding aluminum-on-aluminum friction (I have two machined injectors that are getting damaged at this spot).
@@WorldsWorstFishing On the top cap that unscrews-the one with a hole slightly larger than the rod's diameter-the rod rubs at this point during the pouring process. This creates shavings and causes it to jam. It’s not a common issue, definitely rare, but it would be great to have a Teflon ring here to avoid aluminum-on-aluminum contact. At least, even if there’s heavy friction, it won’t cause damage and would improve the sliding action. Just to clarify, these are the only injectors of this kind in France, but they’re made with highly precise CNC machining nonetheless.
@MIRADAI13 still not following you....I've put many miles on my injectors over the years and never seen aluminum shavings or had any wear and tear. The orings handle all of the friction
@@WorldsWorstFishing If you want, I can take a picture of my injectors for you. But once I send the image, will you receive it? It might be flagged as spam, and you might not see it.

Good video but I really wish you would have poured a regular dual injector beside the new one to compare how much longer your run time is. Also curious how long it takes to clean the insulated one if you have to wait forever for the plastic to turn solid to start your next run that’s a major downfall
@outdoorjunkys2774 We chose not to put other injector manufacturers on blast... Even though not our intention , it would have come off that way.. And it's actually a positive because you can push out so much more plastic when it has not plugged up... You're not just sitting there.Waiting for the injectors to clock up so that you can clean them out for the next run... You can push almost all of the volume out when you purge. And the best part is you can do all that without your injector and block being piping hot from preheating.
Very cool product, I’d love to see how well it works with different plastics, I’m not sure which you used in the video (maybe I missed it) but I’d like to see how long harder plastics stay hot, I know I’ve tried laminating 342 and its hardened after one mold, it would be very cool to see a video where you show the injector system with different plastics
Everything about that looks amazing...unfortunately I am no where far along in my bait making journey to justify the cost over my existing basic flawed duel injector lol
@@steelcurtin7362 If you wanted to clean out the inside of the cylinder.. You would just take a long brush with some worm.Oil and cycle the brush through a few times.

@Austin-ew6fk yes..the linings are ptfe...some are moving away from it in cookware...I don't see how Teflon would present some sort of health risk in a hobby where we cook polyvinyl chloride polymers
not being able to use salt in it is crazy, expected that tho since its ptfe. only viable for ppl that never use salt or people that wanna buy 2 different sets of injectors
@imtack91 that prevents you burning your hand on hot injectors..it does nothing to insulate the plastisol inside the tube and nozzel...2 entirely different things
@imtack91 a sleeve on the exterior doesn't prevent the plastisol from directly contacting the aluminum conductor..this is especially true in the tips and blocks where plastic is most likely to plug due to cooling. 👍
