All I can say is well done to Portugal because this is a brilliant entry. One of my favourite Portuguese entries so far. See you in the final Portugal 🇵🇹
this music is more complex than the people think. The mix of different sounds and styles crosses borders and cultures. There is portugal, spain, france, romanesque, balkans, cabarett, burlesque, but well mixed without looking like it's made with a hammer. and mimicat has a charisma..
If you felt hugged by Saudade......Mimicat is another therapeutic treat. For sure she won`t let you to be depressed. The instrumentation is rich, the fusion of genres and sounds are impecable. Lyrics, vocal, backvocals, all works......

Mimicat and Ai Coração shoulb be in Eurovision final and be voted to win. Amazing performance and incredible voice. The lyrics are also outstanding. It should win in Eurovision as won in Festival da Canção.
B R I L L ! A N T The Song, the Acting, the Interpretation, the Naturalness, the Choreography, the Dancers... I'm Surrendered... I didn't even know Mimicat and this Song Wasn't My Favorite (I have Reasons to have Rooted for Bárbara Tinoco). I just hope that Some Designer (and we have Very Good Designers) will make a Dress, for Mimicat... The Dresses (Skirts) and the Costumes of the Dancers are Perfect. I just think that the Other Dancer should shave his hair (or wear Hats - same as "Cavaleiros Alentejanos" - like Zorro), and let Both of them grow their Beards, so that they can look like as the Ballerinas, and the 'Thing' stays - even more - Symmetrical (I'm a Perfectionist) Hey ❤ ... Will the "Miracle of Fatima" be repeated? 🤔 I would like to hear the - Beaut!ful - Sound of the Portuguese Guitar. As for the Castanholas (which are more related to the Spanish Culture, although the Portuguese Roots are the same), I Like th!s "Touch" :D
I'll tell you something, the Festival da Canção jury is more complicated and difficult than the Eurovision one, in fact it was a miracle that an up tempo song managed to pass, it is so unsual... And it passed with 12 points (exquo with another song). It was the televote that broke the tie and gave victory to Mimicat.
The song deals with heart feelings which prevent us from being ourselves when in love. According to me this piece of music looks much more like classical music for a cabarete's song. I do appreciate the show and I am very fond of listening to the piano interpretation of this music by PANO. Many thanks to the composer Luis PEREIRA who composed this music with MIMICAT. Portugal has got a very high potential to win the competition this year with such a music. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I don't think the performance is quite Eurovision ready yet but we know Portugal lately has been able to massively upgrade their staging once they're at Eurovision. With good staging I see Portugal doing better than their main competition France this year. Top 10.
You are so cute and your reactions make you even cuter. Even when you are still a bit confused your happy reactions are great! This will go far. If "Toy" from Israel won in Lisbon in 2018 and it was't that great in my opinion, this one that is soooo good can win in Liverpool. "Ai Eurovisão"... HERE COMES PORTUGAL.
She's wonderful, only herself and dancers with lots of charisma, great vocals made the show. The complexity of the music unfortunately is underrated by most of younger people and pop songs. She doesn't need staging, fireworks because she has a Diva Charisma Star Love Portugal ❤💚
this year juries don't give votes for the semi finals. countries that don't participate worldwide may give their vote to the song they like most. countries that enter in ESC rules are applied: you cannot vote for your own country. but all the other countries from all the world may give to your country his vote. TOP 10 go to the final. In the final the voting rules are the same of the previous year
Yeah you look totally confused ahahah :D I think it's a fun song, and that's it (and I was team mimicat) Since we are on semi final 1 it will be tough to qualify, but I do hope we do it :3
Hi!! Love your reactions, im personally portugese and you pronounce it (I cora sa oh) and it mean "oh heart" as a personal opinion I dont really like this one, I would much like " goodnight" but its not the worst anyways
No início lembrei-me imediatamente da Piaf.
No it is not.. the sound of "s" for "ç" is correct, but just like your name, you need the till to make "ã" nasal... it's hard even to put in text.... Anyway, good try! :)))
It’s so random the mismatching between his 1st reaction to the song and the way he talks about it in other videos… feels like the Balkanguy is the type of person that don’t stand by his true feelings… feels like a fake person, he loved the song in this clip and all of a sudden for some mysterious reason he thinks is not cool or modern to like Mimicat’s song… shame on you Balkanguy!!!! No personality I’m afraid!!!!
😒Nada a ver!
Brilliant song lyric indeed.
With our moorish history to and history with different African nations it's all of that and the dance had some tradition init
It’s very cabaret which I’m so happy to see this year ! 🎉

Mimicat's place is in the final, she deserves it. Great work
Keep an eye to this! It’s amazing, funny and joyful! Hope she’ll make it to the final! 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
It does also have a very Balcan vibe, like Kusturica

The first piano was from „I will survive“…:-)
That dramatic piano intro has been around since the 19th century. The one in Gloria Gaynor's song is bigger (she added the regressive part).
It is actually also from Lili Marleen - Marlene Dietrich :)
