- Not a complete game. Ends in 3rd quarter.
Hoping for some good karma for the game this weekend, decided to post the first ever meeting between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys. Roger Staubach had an average day as did Dorsett. TD's scored by Robert Newhouse and Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson. - Ігри
Dorsett was the smoothest back the leauge have ever seen
Tony wanted to prove he was the better back coming out of college against Ricky Bell
Tony Dorsett was drafted from the university of Pitt... I always wished he would have been a Steeler... But I was relieved we had a guy by the name of Franco Harris 😊
He would have been better if he could have kept a hold on the ball
The Buccaneers held the Cowboys to 23 points which was a surprise
Well, in spite of their inept offense in 1977, they did possess a pretty competitive defense that year. On what would be their final loss of the 1977 season, they did allow Walter Payton to rush for over 100 yards, but it took over 30 attempts for him to do that, and 1977 was the year that Payton lead the NFL in rushing yards and at the time he even threatened to break OJ Simpson's all time rushing record in a season.
I’ve often been a little surprised we put up only 17 offensive points on TB while letting them have 7. (Lesser teams often shut them out back then.) But aside from having a very strong defense, past of this was the fact that Dallas back then sometimes played down to the competition. Had we taken them seriously, it’s difficult to believe this win wouldn’t have been more convincing, and in fact, their score was a defensive one on a sloppy Dorsett (rookie) fumble.
Only two teams scored more than 23 on them. Minus the Dorsett gift it would have been their 2nd biggest blowout loss of the season. The game went pretty much exactly as expected.
LOL, this light beer commercial, in the bar, from 1977, is hilarious..the bartender, afterwards, "I still don't know why they asked me to do this commercial"(tastes better vs. less filling)..HAHAHAHA!
That was Marvelous Marv Throneberry the hapless first baseman of the hapless 1962 Mets
@@milesotoole6238I don't know why I thought that was Ted Williams. Thanks for clearing that up.
The announcer at the very beginning of the video with the microphone was Frank Glieber, who was a well-known Dalllas sports announcer for decades. He died of a heart attack in his early 50s.
Love the OJ commercials lol..
22:30ish Elvis died in August this game was in October, must have been a tribute.
The 70s Tampa Bay buccaneers had an awesome defense led by Leroy Selmon...
Awesome thanks
nice, thanks man
Not much to see after 3rd qtr anyway. Cowboys did enough damage in 1st qtr to win game.
The DALLAS Cowboys to day need Danny White as the head coach the COWBOYS will not win the super bowl with the team that they have
I was at the game.
One of the few - lots of empty seats in the broadcast...
Well! TV commercials were as annoying 45 years ago as now.

John mc kay shouldve stayed at. USC
The Bucs wearing their creamsicle jerseys for the first time ever.
Actually, their first regular season appearance in their creamsicle jerseys was in the previous week at home against Minnesota.
