  • Finding 620 take up reels for the Nomad 620 camera can be a pain. This hack allows you to use 120 take up reels, and 120 film. Also use the Kodak #13 Close Up attachment, and the Bulb function for flash photography in dark situations. Scan your negatives with a flatbed scanner, and use Adobe Lightroom, clarity slider is your friend! Cheers.

Wow, takes me back to when i worked as a lab tech @ the photoshop!
I love people that are keeping the 'real' alive for the future kids!

Have a Sawyer's 620 in great condition (in original box) and a bunch of M2 blue and M3 clear flashbulbs -- used rerolled 120 film and shot "family photos" of my grandkids with the flashbulbs. Came out great -- and it was fun to see the kids blinking after the flashbulbs fired! Thanks for your video!

Thanks for the tips! About a year ago I came across a photo of my mom and myself with one of these cameras strapped around my neck on my grandparents farm (yeah, I'm old). Then thru luck I found one a few months ago in a box with papers looking brand new at an antique shop. I have shot a roll of 620 from the FPP store but now will try your 120 hack.

You can use a 620 take-up spool with your 120 film. I found them on eBay. They are metal and last forever so it’s worth a purchase in your camera doesn’t come with a spool. Just leave a note to your developer to return your spool with your processed negatives so you can use the spool again! Great video with nice details! 👍

Absolutely. That's the easiest way to do it!

Hello! I just purchased one of these cameras and i’ve realized that the red “button” on the back of my camera is missing. Is that an important part? And if it is how can I fix it? I was thinking I could put some clear tape over it but I don’t know if that would do the job. Your feedback would be helpful, thanks.

That is a little red clear window that allows you to see the numbers on the film, exposure 1, exposure 2, etc. It's red because the film is least sensitive (b&w film) to red light, like a darkroom red light.
