Hi@@uFixTek! I've taken my 7510 apart again to replace the screws that were missed and when I removed the WiFi card the black and grey cables were disconnected although I didn't actually intend to do that and now they don't seem to want to reconnect! Is there a special technique that's required here or could they be broken?

Very detailed and thorough video. I've ordered some Arctic MX-6 thermal paste for the CPU & GPU of my Dell Precision 7510 which should be arriving today, how exciting! When playing certain games they both heat up so much that the laptop shuts down (I used Speccy to view the temps) so I suspect the existing thermal paste is completely dried up as I bought it used and I think it's a 2017 model but it's great laptop mind. One question on the removal of the WiFi card, when you took the black & white cables out it looked like it could be tricky to re-insert them, is this not the case though you seemed to have no trouble?
Thank you for your feedback! If you'd like to support the channel, feel free to like, subscribe, or do both! Regarding your question, the WiFi cables don't differ when inverted in color; they are identical. When pulling the antennas, ensure you pull them upward. When placing them back, align and push them downwards, and they will securely snap into the connector, functioning like a clip. For the next service, I recommend using the highest-quality thermal paste, even though it may be a bit more expensive. This can result in a few more degrees lower in temperature. Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is an excellent choice: amzn.to/3SbhKK7 However, the paste you've purchased is also of top quality. If you have any more questions or requests in the future, feel free to ask. Cheers! 🍻 This is an Amazon affiliate link. When you use my links, you are helping to support the channel. 🙏
@@uFixTek Ahh, yes of course, d'oh! Those cables don't actually connect into any slots as such so that was all fine in the end. The only issue I had was with the CPU/GPU Heatsink platform which I just could not remove completely due to the left side, near the fan being stuck, it looked like there was a cable running along but I didn't want to force it so in the end I had to leave it in place. As such I was unable to perform a full service like you did on your 7510 although I was able to remove all of the old thermal paste (it wasn't dried up like I suspected but it was a bit of a mess, looked like whoever did it applied too much). Applied my MX-6 and assembled it all back together and it powered up first time, no issues at all! Would it be possible to send you a picture and a very short video showing the issue I had in removing the CPU/GPU Heatsink just in case you can see what's wrong, please? Naturally, I've liked this vid, subscribed and hit the Bell icon! Thanks again and Happy New Year! Nick
Where can I buy such a equipment for disassembly? (maybe you also can suggest something for cleaning) The video is cool but I care that I don't have such devices for intelligent disassemble. I want to clean my fans for the first time.
Thank you for this tutorial, my pecision 7540 is showing ram error after 30 mins again and again and restarting due to error. Apart from it, I had notice the temperature is rising. Is this the case of heating issue? I appreciate if someone answers.
It's my pleasure, my friend. 😊 I deeply appreciate your taking the time to provide feedback. If you're inclined to support the channel further, feel free to like and subscribe-or even both! Regarding your question, this issue could be due to bad memory RAM, a degrading SSD, or corrupted Windows OS files. 1. I recommend you get the free portable version of SSD/HDD status check and ensure the health is above 80%. Anything under that could be the issue. Use this app: Hard Disk Sentinel. 2. Once in Windows, close every application in the task manager, then open CMD as an admin and type the following: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth Once that is finished, type this: sfc /scannow Then restart. 3. Remove one of the RAM sticks and use only one. If the error still exists, remove the other RAM stick and place back the first RAM stick you removed. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻

I repaste and clean my 7510, but I'm still having heating problems (I think) sometimes my 7510 turn on the coolers, make a louder noise and shoot down... :(
Thanks for this incredibly detailed and helpful video, couldn't have serviced my Dell Precision 7510 without it!

I wish you were here. I have same model. Temps go above 90s sometimes. Pretty sure it needs thermal paste replacement and fans cleaning.

Nice video. Just a question, what thermal pad did you employ? Because they looked like 2mm thick, but I want to be secure about it. Thanks.
