The dry brush really adds a lot. I use to dry brush only the hair of projects but think I will start doing it to the whole carving like you just did. Great video, thanks for the great easy to understand instructions!
Not all,but most can use a little burning at paint color changes.Not on the face.I like it for whiskers and hair on dogs/animals I carve,,Good luck with your carving ~~~
Small stuff like this a sharp knife and a 1/4" V tool will get you started,palm gauges are good to have also.Patience,determination etc etc~~~~practice every day,,

It's mostly True ochre with a few drops of light red oxide, Thanks for watching..

You can also use butcher paper for a disposable pallet and it is much cheaper that way.
