- We all have days where our eyeliner just keeps getting thicker and thicker, then BAM we look like a panda… Lol you will still have those days even after watching this video because I still do. However I hope this helps that happen just a little less hehe. These are my tips and tricks that I found work best for me so I thought I would share :) Enjoy

Wondered if you have ever thought about going cruelty-free. I went cruelty-free in September of 2014 and I have to say it was actually pretty easy, but I don't have as makeup as you :) It would mean a lot to me and all the animals of the world if you saw this comment and decided to do something about it. i practiced almost everyday by putting on a pair (ordered a bunch for cgeap on amazon)for like a month and now i can so easily it take practice
k reeze which store on amazon? I like ardell the weft on the lash isn't thick n fake looking and it sits well on your lashes
You should watch a drag tutorial. They stack like 3+ pairs of lashes so they're certainly experts 😂 yeh most of what you learn will be from practice. You either get it or you don't- practice till you get it.
Oh you forgot to mention getting your wings to match can be a real bitch! Lol The struggle is soo real!
I did, thats what the brush trick is for. Figuring out your angle by using a brush and holding it up to your face. This way the angle is the same on both sides :) as far as thickness being even, thats just luck haha I have no trick for that lol :)
Girl I try that and sometimes it just looks different, maybe my face is off 😜 lmao

This is a great liner tutorial for people who prefer a more dramatic type of wing, but I think that perfecting winged eyeliner is really about finding the best type of liner look to compliment your own eye shape, since I'm not too sure that this type of wing will cater to everyone

Same - I've never thought to do liquid over gel, I get those 'lumps' all the time and either end up making it thicker or taking the entire thing off and giving up! Practice makes perfect right? 😃

DesiPerkinsMakeup How do you prevent tightlined liner from glooping up in the inner corner of your eyes? Even with my best waterproof liners, the black on or near the waterlines of my eyes always collect on the inner corners and it looks horrible, sometimes I go hours without noticing I have the black eye-boogers look going on...

This tutorial is amazing! I've been rocking winged liner for about 12 years now and it has definitely been a journey. Desi, you always do such an amazing job explaining things in a way that makes sense! Pulling off a flawless winged liner can be daunting and what's even more daunting is making both eyes match! I also need to know how you do your eyeshadow! I love how simple yet sophisticated it is.

I agree, I can never get a sharp wing with that brush. I thought mine was a bad tube
I use that eyeliner flatten it and slant the brush. I have a video of my eyeliner with that liquid liner might help?
I bought it, opened it, saw how think the brush part of it was and immediately returned it. Idk how I was supposed to get a sharp wing with it..
You have to wipe off the excess on the side of the tube to flatten and crisp up the brush, and then it'll totally work!
Only eyeliner I can use! It's actually thin you just gotta wipe the excess off
Does this happen to anyone else? I always have to curl my eyelashes before I do my eyeliner because if I curl them afterwards it takes off some of the eyeliner. Does anyone know why, & how I can stop that from happening?
Don't keep your curler so close to your roots that it pinches/rubs the skin! That's the problem :)
That happened to me today! I had just gotten my gel liner and wing even and then it got way faded looking. Just gotta be careful and curl further down the lash when you are trying to protect your liner i guess.
Same here! I thought I was the only one lol 😂😂. I have to curl my eyelashes before, then I start with the wing eyeliner but is the only way that it works for me, if not, I mess it up all the eyeliner with the eyelash curler😒
ok so yesterday i tried something different. I did the gel liner just like desi did in this video, THEN curled my lashes, THEN went over the line with my NYC liquid liner. It was perfect! I didn't have to care about ruining the gel so much because I was going over it anyway. Breakthrough.
