Isn’t it great when you get results that you weren’t expecting! Thanks for the content!
Yes I really do enjoy surprises.
I love it! Andrew, your content is always the best and your performance ratings on products are completely honest and non-biased. Good job dude!
Thank you for watching
Hi, Andrew! You do a great job on these demonstrations. I can always count on your thoroughness and honesty.
Thank you for watching
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Love the channel. 🤠
Hi Andrew enjoyed your review on the lawn more blades. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Thank you for watching
I'm glad to see you mowing . We have snow on the ground, and it will be a while till I get to use my mower.
Heavy frost tonight and tomorrow night. Our mowing is probably done for the year.
I was sharpening my blade wrong thanks! I was doing one sharpen pass on the backside. Cuts much better without doing that. I lift my discharge chute a bit to allow easier discharge. Thoughts? (I never lift discharge if near road, windows or people). I dislike the pileup when it is so low.
Congratulations Andrew. Every time I check you have more subscribers. Well done
Thank you for the support
Great test and information, Andrew. All my mowing is field grass. I'm definitely utilizing your results, my friend. Thank you!
Take care!
I live in Wellborn, FL. Got ahold of some contour blades I'll never go to another one. Thick and bahaya it blast through it and leaves a beautiful cut no sprigs mowing at wide open speed. Mine is a 72" cut 35 hp
I'm very familiar with Wellborn, we use to have friends there. Happy to hear you're mowing the same grass as me and getting good results.
OMG...I wish UA-cam would quit updating! Interesting results Andrew. i will be curious as to what you finally decide to run. That mower deck for changin blades is flippen awesome!
Isn't it amazing!
Excellent! Enjoyed your review on the lawn mower blades.
Thank you for watching
Thanks Andrew for the great video. I've always used high lift blades for my mower, but seeing how well the contour blades worked i will give them a shot. i hate that my high lift blades pull up so much sand here in central FL.
I'm happy with the results, I'm considering the change away from high lift blades myself.
Thank you Andrew, great video.
Thank you for watching
I sure do like that grasshopper... Over here in Clay county, I'm mowing some very sandy areas and go thru blades like crazy. I noticed years ago that the less "lift" the blades have, the longer they last. I haven't noticed a difference in the "peace sign stalks" being cut better or worse with lift blades. Blade sharpness is what seems to matter the most with them, so I get the flatest, less lift blades I can find now, and keep them sharp.
That's looking like what I'll be going with as well.
checking out the lawn mower blades, learn something new everyday in life.be bless.
Humm. Wondering who won shed naming. Great video on the blades.
I'll announce today, I was stuck on two different names.
Have you ever tested the Gator blades and what is your opinion I think they do really good on what you were mowing today
No I haven't, but I am curious about them.
Very interesting test and very interesting results as well! I’m like you with the results, totally opposite of what I thought. How does that new mower ride compared to a conventional zero turn? I’ve owned two zero turns, but they ride so rough they make me almost throw up. Even had a Dixie Chopper with the springer forks an it had a better ride, but I still had the same problem.
Absolutely no comparison on ride this is buttery smooth. I've owned two other commercial zero turns and they beat us to death. I can't even begin to explain how enjoyable this grasshopper is to drive. I'd highly recommend you take a test drive at a dealer.
217 views but only two other comments? 🤔 goodness me
Everything has been off for a couple of months, something isn't adding up.
Id pull that chute up to see what the discharge looks like and spread it more evenly. Especially since youre not near the house or anything else expensive.
Are you still preferring the contour blades over the high lifts? Just got my first grasshopper (725D) and was looking at giving them a try. using the high lifts now. Thanks!
Perfect timing! I'm outside right now testing all the blades again AND a new set of medium lift blades I didn't know they made. I'll have this video and results ready for next week. At the moment, I still love the contour blades. But I need to run today's full test to know if I am going to prefer another type. Stay tuned!
@@TKCL Thank you for this! looking forward to this video!
@@tjones8994 your welcome. Enjoy that new mower, the 725D is an extremely popular mower.
Most perplexing thing to me is why the high lifts arent cutting at the tips of the blades. Is the actual length (diameter) of the countour vs high lift the same. If they had to shorten the blade so the high lift didnt crash into the mower deck at minimum setting. That crown is definitely due to fluid dynamic issues. Gap between blade or the lift wings causing super strange swirl. I'd call the Redbull F1 team. They seem to have aero figured out pretty well and just came into some extra cash. You plant the garden next week right? --- the seattle guy who reaped zero fruits from 2 plants this year!
No garden planting this time of year, we already have lettuce, cabbage broccoli and more in the ground. We usually plant the main garden at the end of March.
Interesting results. That mower sure throws the grass out
Not the results I was expecting, but I'll take it!
So who won the name the woodshed contest...I can't seem to track it down?
I haven't announced it yet. I'm struggling between two different names 😬
1st?
Got it!
Can’t believe I finally beat the same ones that always get it! Wooo Hoooo
do they make racks for big lawn mowers
I'm sure some company does.
what brand of diesel are they running on that thar super cow?
It's a 3 cylinder Kubota
@@TKCL oh ok! They're pretty decent Little Engines. i just sent you off a Email when ever you can get to it. santa adam isnt to happy but paitent!
Gotcha, heading to bed, I'll check it in the morning.
@@TKCL thank you sir
😅 Sorry - I have to laugh at what You call chilly or cold weather. Try mowing toward end of season when it's heavy over cast, humid and below 40 f jumping up / down day to day, and wear insulated pants and coat to get through the day .
Hmmm 🤔 did you get a new cordless impact gun ?
Sure did! Santa came early. I've been wanting one of those compact 1/2" drive impacts forever. It's crazy powerful, busts lug nuts with ease.
@@TKCL they do sure come in handy. I don't go anywhere without my impact, but I also have a set of flip sockets that I got off of Amazon that will take just about every lug nut off. I keep a flip kit in just about all the vehicles I have plus trailers.
I just built a truck kit with my other impact, full socket set and 12k jack.
Santa came early for me too! Got the same tool. Do you worry about over torquing? Thought I would just set it on low and tighten away.
@@daver6564 I usually go German specs goodNtight 😜😜😜
I told you for best results get the push lawn mower out
If you're pushing 😉
I have a Grasshopper as well and to me I like the low lift blades. We live in a sandy area and bahia is a light grass and I've found the low lift blades cut well and last a LOT longer than any high lift blade. Love the videos!
That's great to hear, I think that's going to be the blade for me.
Get you a set of contours you will never go back to a low lift blade. All my grass is bahaya and never see sprigs and mow wide open at 12 mph.
