I have a 2017 model M60-S. Its been an awesome mower, I mow 5 acres very hilly. No complaints heavy duty.
I have one of these now. Very well built, runs quiet (the engine on our John Deere 4120 is louder than the mower) and cuts very well. I look forward to using ours much more next spring ;-)
I have a 5 foot unit made by Sigma but sold under a different name. After 14 years it is still going strong.
I like that mower and was looking for a finishing mower when I went back to the dealer looking. After getting the price of the finishing mower versus the Zero Turn I ended up with the Zero Turn instead. I saw some of these in action, but worry about the close cuts around trees, posts, and the house.
Great presentation. I learned alot. Thanks
Dude, you have taught me so much over he years.
I love your videos keep them coming. 1 quick question what would be a good way to collect all of those clippings for a homestead for your composting? Thanks in advance.
Nice unit!!!
I'd LOVE to see a flail mower demo !!!
not a bad looking mower. Pretty happy with my woods though.
Try using a grease gun through those small holes. It's easy to push the tip straight onto the grease fitting but I have to tilt the tip to the side to get it off the grease fitting.
Would you recommend using one of these for brush hoggin through thick weeds?
Could you use the hitch to chain the tractor end of the pto cover??? My implements are so old that there isn't that safety chain to deal with.
This finish mower looks to be well built. Just wish it was made here in the U.S.A and had an automatic belt adjusting tensioner.
Regardless, I would still buy it though because of the value.
How good is the parts support being that it's made in Italy?
Thanks
How a side by side comparison with a flail mower????
I'm not sure if you still offer this, but it appears to be in the Rhino Ag line now.
i like mowing on my john deere. Its a hydrostat. Alot easyer
Ted, I've got the Sitrex 48" RFM for my sub-compact. I love it, but can't get the top link figured out. It has a small tab welded across the toggle on the mower... I've been trying to get the best angle by having the top link ride higher than the mower. It looks like you've got it going 45degrees down instead of up. I'll be readjusting tomorrow before I mow. My property has some steep inclines & I can't seem to get the mower to follow my tractor without lifting in the front or rear of the deck
you might want to try a hydraulic top link...I have one for my 35 hp tractor with a sitrex.
I bought a Caroni mower 3 years ago also made in Italy. This one is the same red color as my Caroni. My mower is 3 years old and parts are no longer available for the model I purchased. I regret purchasing an Italian mower it was poorly engineered and now parts cant be gotten. I will be looking to buy a woods or another American made mower because the Italians don't stand behind their products.
I really like this mower. I like the PRD series Woods too but man they are so expensive! What is the warranty on this one? 6’ model.
It is a 1 year warranty, which covers defects in material and craftsmanship. We've sold these for a LONG time. Well, the video is over 10 years old. :)
So how is this Sigma compered to King Cutter?
The most notable is the solid tires on Phoenix, a good wide tire and wheel, which maintains an even cut and level deck, unlike the Pneumatic or air tires, which if low air pressure, for whatever reason, would let the deck be uneven, and not have the perfect level cut we want… also, the tapered back of the Phoenix mower deck is a good deflector to direct any object you might hit, to discharge and be directed down toward the ground with this tapered discharge… the completely open back allows for complete and evenly distributed discharge and a nice finished look from the Phoenix finish mower or grooming mower as well… The 3 point hitch links can be pinned ridged, or un-pinned to let the deck float, side to side, and it has the link where the top link hooks to allow for forward to backward movement, or flex, as well… King Kutter has a flex hitch which is good, and free floating too, a rear deflector with taper, but is more closed to allow mulching possibly better, but not having as evenly spread discharge as the Phoenix mower… The Solid Tires are the best feature to me as I always had (5) complete tires and wheels, to have (4) available when it was time to mow… Thanks, have a good day
What size bet
Why not use a mower that is properly sized for the tractor?
Too bad I can't hear it
i think your color balance was way out of whack on this video. The mower deck looks red ( I have a YANMAR so that would be positive) but then when you look at the tractor pulling it (Kubota) it looks red as well and we all know KUBOTA's are definitely not red!
The video was made over 10 years ago in what appears to be sunny conditions. Yeah, the camera was probably lacking, but the mower is generally available in your choice of orange or red. Thanks for watching!
And always remember your finishing mower is not a bush hog so don't use it like one.😅
