- Prawn here with a review of the Rode X XDM100. This is an impressive USB that offers the ability to not only capture great sound with a plug and play setup but also gives you access to Rode Unify, which is a software that allows you to route multiple virtual audio sources into a single output for your stream.
The Rode XDM100 microphone is a dynamic mic that's aimed at streamers and content creators. So I'm showing what's possible with it, including how to set it up in Streamlabs or OBS, the tweaks you can make with Rode Unify and the settings you can use to make it sound great.

Great review! One question; have you found a way to use noise removal either via OBS or NVIDIA Broadcast with the single "unify" channel going into OBS? Every time I try the noise cancelling software cuts game audio and/or music, essentially any non-voice audio coming in. Thanks!
Would you recommend this mic over an XLR mic or is this a good option only if you HAVE to use USB would you say?
Any Unify updates in the last 3 weeks? I ask because I want to get the Rode XDM-100 but heard there are many bugs with Unify. Thanks
can you use any of the voice FX of the XDM when you plug it into a phone?
You can do most of that software stuff with Voicemeter Banana or Potato and its free.
Unify is free too.
I am sperimenting the usage of this microphone since 3 days and I found a lot of bugs, often Windows doesn't recognize the source so I have to restart the system, very annoying
